That's a good update for Zremesher. Just not $650 worth.
Indeed.
MaxOFF ZBrush will become the most pirated software now. Well done dudes, well done.
Slime Brige 🤣🤣🤣
nearly 700 USD to update to the latest version. I knew maxon was going to fuck over the small creators that use their software but this is beyond disgusting.
Try being a Canadian. You're looking at nearly $1000.
@@crazylegsmurphy Try being at Argentina. Life cost / ARS. Its around $280.000ARS (Imagine based on life cost here woudl be like paying 280.000USD instead 700)
😶😶😶
ThePirateBay...
Thank you Michael!
Really appreciate these updates dude!!😊
This update is awesome. Just what i needed atm
Thanks for the new zremesh overview Michael. Pretty cool but may have not sold me on the upgrade just yet. I'll take a look at your UV unwrap video next. :)
I do like the keep polypaint feature. I might just stick with the "workarounds" for now (save polypaint as texture and apply to subdivided/zremeshed mesh).
But I wish "keep polypaint" was in previous version because that should be a basic functionality.
Also, I still use the legacy zremesh once in a while due to the different algorithms soI'll still keep my zbrush 2022 installed just in case I do upgrade.
The function with project history is pretty cool
Rip zremesher legacy
Great contribution. Great tutorial. You have my like. Thank you so much. Greetings
Mike crushing it on the 2023 updates!!!
Are there people hired to write all this super positive feedback comments that have zero likes? XD Sadness... I'm a Zbrush Legacy man now, having paid 850$ for that awesome status and now being constrained to pay 650$ for not beig a zbrush legacy man for one extra year... LOVE IT!
as usual thanks for the class!
The update to ZRemesh looks nice! It's about time it got a QoL change :P

Wow
Which one is better poly group or guide brash ? Do u have video on guide brushe ??
Until they introduced the Project History button, it required 2 subtools to achieve that projection and it felt like trying to process two threads at once. Yet it might still give better results with that extra subdivision slider.
I'd upgrade my perpetual license if it wasn't so expensive, guess I'll wait a couple of years before going for the upgrade, but very good video!,👍🙂
If I remember correctly, Maxon used to charge different upgrade fees depending on the current version of the software. Not sure if it's still the case.
Its almost certainly going to be a full repurchase if you skip this update
Nice video and I really like your content! I just don't see anything new worth upgrading for. It seems to me like they're pulling an autodesk, which is very sad when Zbrush has given us so much throughout the years.
dangling keychains
Eh, I remembered about this worm myself and I'm going to model it anyway...
I can do this with textures UVs?
Yeah not for that price.
is the process of that earth worm jim in some video/stream by any chance? would love to see!
It's an oldie, and not a proper breakdown, but here's a time lapse making of: czcams.com/video/T38cKOKGD9E/video.html
@@MichaelPavlovich SO GREAT! thanks!
tbh, when they release Zbrush 2025 or smt with AI-Zremesher and update cost like 200$ I'd consider a good update. I'm gonna forever stick to my good old 2022 ver. Redshift? (more like redshit to me because rendertime/quality is meh comparing to keyshot or marmoset or Vray RT, let along the stupid price). People just let the Maxon greed die please
poor earthworm jim...
i'm waiting since many years a button with "keep UV", but it's not for this version yet....
For real
But retry speed seems same as the previous zremesh. I don't see any significant speed
forgot the name of the character :) . . . can anybody help to recall?
Earthworm Jim
glad we have a video about this. This is damn ugly wasted update, who really need that retry button? like I just gonna ctrl-Z then I'll press Zremesher again in like 2 seconds. Really Maxon? Aaaand who need keep polypaint when you have to always reproject color from old mesh anyway? This Zremesh feature and some other "who asked" stuff for 650$ update and even have to pay more for GPU render subcription. Ha! SHAME!
yes, Maxon, a deadweight company, buying a world class sculpting app companies just to let it bleed to die.
it should be the other way around,
Zbrush should buy Maxon, and let it bleed to die.
especially, Zbrush rate of progression in the past was mindblowing
Is that how much the update costs for legacy perpetual licence holders? Wow. I transfered my licence last year and I haven't even had an email telling me there's a new version. I went to the Maxon website upon seeing these new videos but it doesn't offer an upgrade price, just says "contact sales" - never a good sign.
@@rich_in_paradise perpetual upgrade from 2022 to 2023 is ~650 US$, you will have redshift renderer, but it's only use cpu to render. To unlock GPU + CPU render altogether you will have to subcribe about 200$ more monthly. Like what even perpetual license means? these type of business is worst. I'm glad I can keep my old 2022ver, and I'll never upgrade anymore. In the meantime, I think the brighter path is trying to learn blender, atleast it's free and the renderer is quite fast these day too.
@@jensenraylight8011 tbh I'd love for each "Pixologic Zbrush upgrade plan" is around 200$ or some more, they don't ask for any, it's all free upgrade from like 2005 till now. Why they don't ask for us, I mean anyone of us (for most) would pay for the upgrade price like that right? now it's too late. Pixologic is dead and so Zbrush (not yet but for sure). Look at how mediocre Maxon's softwares suite are, buch of lame sht unprofessional piece of sht and then Zbrush stand with those. I still feel my heart hurt when I think about that.
@@monsterinsane2228 yes, exactly, it hurt me too,
i'm a diehard zbrush fans, and i spent countless of hours using Zbrush.
i can still remember feeling the excitement everytime zbrush announcing new features, because it will blow everyone mind.
it's so sad to see such a great company with a great product being nerfed down by such a mediocre company.
yes, if they charged for upgrade, at least by doing that they could survive, and keep making a great product
