Here is our review of the FT011 RC racing boat. This, in my opinion, is the best fast and cheap RC speed boat out there. The Feilun FT011 comes with a 2.4ghz controller and a brushless motor. This video is an unboxing and review of this high speed RTR RC boat.

The water being sprayed up is called a rooster tail, its the Best part about boating
Any positive reference to a rooster tail is lost on me. I know why it's there in legit powerful boats, but it's nothing but a side effect of lots of power. Nothing more.

Hey I have a question if there is something in your boat when the battery is plugged in and the boat just stands around for about 10 minutes without being used it starts beeping because I bought it yesterday and it always beeps when not in use and the manual only says to disconnect the battery when not in use so I don't know if this boat has it or if it is broken ..

You have to modify the internals but it can run 5s. Go look up A - Z tube and he has a tutorial on how to convert to 5s and buy links in his description.
This boat is superior to the smaller FT012.
Better electronics, better battery and much faster. Yes it costs more but if it is in the budget, the FT011 is the ticket. Order another couple batteries , a 3S 2200 pack works great. Also pickup a better charger, the charger included will charge the battery, but it takes hours and a NO battery and charger should EVER be left alone, especially lipo batteries. Buy a charging bag (about $12.00)
This is one of ,if not THEE best brushless boat "bang for the buck" on the market. I have two and they are a blast to run & race.

Big? That thing is small, I had a fiberglass v-hull racer that was 60". But your's is quite fast for it's size. I mean it flat out gits it. Self righting feature is cool.

There's this YTber called A - Z tube who did a 5s battery mod and it goes FAST! Recently he has added a bunch of new metal parts and I'm guessing a test drive will come soon everyone should go check him out he also does RC Cars and other boats even some nerf modifications if anyone is into that.

how is that boat running after being in salt water? My other boat didn't last a month from salt water corrosion
Unfortunately if you plan on running pretty much any RC boat in saltwater/brackish you will need to totally disassemble it and clean every part especially the electronics and hardware.
Don't learn the hard way like myself!
I saw another video recommending to spray corrosionX on all the components when going in salt water. His boat had lasted three years.
Surely you can adjust the throw on the servo or rudder itself to give better cornering than you have
In a another vid there is a little dial on the controller that you can adjust your cornering. I was a little nervous seeing that radius but then saw that video.
How do you know when the battery is exhausted before it dies completely?
It starts to get slow..
You can buy a battery warning piece that attaches to your battery.
I personally use volt meter or voltage alarm because if it drops too low you can ruin your battery or lower the life span.

I bought a pro boat impulse v3 for £350 a couple of years ago absolutely awesome bit of kit quality hull and quality electronics,very fast too

This boat is very fun except mine after about five min in the water it spun the push pin out of the drive shaft lucky my son had his boat in water was able to push to shore easy fix with alittle locktite
The reverse isn’t for reversing its for to flip the boat over if it’s flips

I currently have this boat... ran this boat a summer and a half it started acting up because too much water gets in the boat... It's fried the speed controller I think , the boat is fast and handles well and the self righing works good... but the boat needs a better sealing compartment!!!

And even it doesn't take such sharp turns i don't know why i have done all the modifications

Only trouble is itbonly gives 10 mins operation per charge.

This was my first boat and... it’s shit... the motor has exposed coils which after a little bit of water adds up... well they short circuit. Also the receiver system is intergratedin the esc system so you cannot change your transmitter.
This year I got a Traxxas Spartan and my girlfriend has become interested in rc boating so because this boat is STUCTUALLY well designed (double covers, well balanced and flips over with the motor torque) I’m going to put more expensive electronics in em so she can keep up with my Spartan.
And it’s a rather small boat, it’s like 40cm long...
