With this run I officially put anther one of my boats in the 70mph club (with an Octura prop). Not too bad for a $45.00 motor from Hobby King on 6s. Once again I have to tip my hat to my "Prop smith" Chris Hoffmann (dasboata) for all of the Awesome props. I really need a good rain to wash the trash out of the lake because I hit a piece of a limb on my first pass and it almost made the rudder breakaway from the mount. Thanks for watching!

Beautiful run! Nice boat to! So far, my PB on the water is 61.5mph with my Impulse 31 V3 with a few light mods and good Batts! Those Octuras do wonders!

Nice run bro! Those spectators were trippin! lol I took mine out this week and she runs smooth! Didn't gps it as it's really my "basher boat" It has a 180 amp Seaking ESC with the stock motor. Offshore electrics flex cable and Octura x445. She's probably running in the mid 50's on 6s. I love the design of this boat! Congrats on another boat in the 70mph club! 👊👊

I got my Pursuit to do 72.1mph on 6s lipo. Great hulls! Wish I could take credit for my boat but I bought it off someone who had just placed 2nd in NAMBA regionals. The prop is custom.

Very impressed with these boats. I can't think of why they dont o-ring the hull to seal it from the water so that you don't have to use tape. Excellent run!

What setting do you have the lvc set to on the 180A esc or is the lvc turned off. Do you ever get the lvc cutting in prematurely when it is turned on.
It's set to 3.2v. I have hit it premature before once I think.

Thanks! If I remember correctly I had an old Turnigy 3674 2200kv with a Turnigy 180 esc for this run in it.
Do you think the motor and ESC that comes with boat are any good? Want to race in P limited mono using 4s lipo?
Some of them come with the Seaking180amp esc and the sss1630kv motor and some come with the junk 120 AMP esc's. That 1630kv motor isn't too bad but the Dynamite 3835 1500kv is a way better motor for limited racing.

I keep coming back to your vids on this boat in particular because I'm looking for a new boat, and for the money and simplicity of this setup (stock boat with a $45 motor upgrade and new prop ..noticed esc is not stock either, but that's ok!), can you really find anything else that's going to run as fast or at least give you the headroom to do so for the money? Also wondering if you're running the same $45 Hobby King (turnigy 4074 2000kv) motor from this vid in the 4s and 5s vids for this boat as well?? Thanks!

Nice boat I just got the sonicwake proboat and it self rights up what bothers me about boats like this is if they go tits up then you you have to swim for them to get them back unless the wind is blowing them back to shore. what have you done to get it back bud?

Another great run, goes to show you don't have to spend a fortune on the boat & motors to get these sorts of speeds. What did the Octura prop start out at before dasboata modified it X545, X547 ? . Im sure there a bit more in that motor with possibly a bit more diameter prop than the 43mm diameter, once again well done.

Nice and Thanks! The Turnigy will stand toe to toe with the Leopards all day long. Leo's have a little better bearings but I change them out anyways.

what size prop?.. it looks to me that you were hitting top speed really quickly..a big pitch prop will get you as fast as possible,

hi mr super fast mad ! does this tlf pursuit has the integrated drive shaft ? any problems with the square part that goes indide the motor wearing out ? becoming round witj a 6 s batt voltage ?
No this Pursuit doesn't have the Integrated drive. But I have a self-righting version that does though and I hate the integrated drive. Way too hard to get the screws tight and out when removing the drive for maintenance. I'll never own another one like that.
@@MrMad2424 how do you take out the drive shaft ? i just got one just like yours..seems you have to take the motor out ..then a O ring with a tiny screw..and them to put it back again that O ring is a pain in the ass. my hands dont fit ..its too far away inside !! is there another way ? in the one without the integrated drive have you had any problems with the square part of the shsft that moves the prop ?
@@eduardonessim4499 Yes you have to remove the motor. Yes the whole set up is a PITA. No problems with square part at all. Just hard to get to with hands to remove screws to for maintenance.

No Hobby King don't carry them anymore. I heard the stickers just pull off of the newer version though.

You just put the set the boat up with all your running gear and measure 30% from the rear of the boat and adjust everything in the boat so your boat balances out as close to the 30% mark as possible when placing the boat on a wooden dowel or similar balancing surface.

Still enjoying your Zonda videos...and wanting one even more now...but I'm hoping you can help me out with a Pursuit-related matter. Mine is being built, and should ship within the next week. I'd like to order a carrier for it before it ships, and I know the dimensions of the hull, itself...but, I don't know the boat's true/overall dimensions.
I don't want what happened with my first carrier to happen again. I ordered a carrier based on the hull length, not the true overall length. That problem has been corrected (1st carrier now has 2nd boat in it, and I ordered a longer carrier for the 1st boat).
I know the width/beam...what I'm in need of are the length & height. What is the full length...from the tip of the bow, to the rear-most part (probably the rear of the rudder) of the boat? Also, what is the overall height, from the top of the canopy, to the bottom of the rudder?

i have a TFL runing 37 mm three blade octura thined and sharpened 180 amp speedy 40x75 motor and 6cell it does [sorry in australia] 150 to 160 kmph getting close to 100mph

Hi MrMad, could you maybe tell me what motor you are running? I got my hands on a feilun ft011 and im trying to upgrade it, running 4s on it, all stock. I really like the boat but i think there could be more power in it. Could I have some of your advice on it?

Turnigy 4074 2000kv motor is what I used in this boat. This motor is way too big for the fto11 though. Check out Paul Cooper and Emil Wilkens channel on CZcams . They have this boat runnig fast with some upgrades. I;ve not messed with the fto11 but a couple times. Also rcgroups.com boat forums have some good write ups on that boat as well. Good luck with it.

@@sense6676 I have no ideas for the fto11. It has a weird size prop shaft and much upgrades are needed to put standard props on it. I would check rc groups.com forums. Several have upgraded that boat.

Hockey tape. You can get it at the local skate stores or at Dick's Sporting goods. I'm not sure some leak water around the stinger if it's not sealed off very well.

Yes its the 1106 with the stinger strut. It's not stock at all. I've got the Turnigy 2000kv and Turnigy 180amp esc and dasboata prop 45mm prop on it. The battery was 2 x 3s Revolectrix 5000mah 70c I believe .
Ok I kinda figured it was hotrodded up a bit yea the ones I've seen run were pretty slow with the stock motor, prop & 3s battery but it's a big fiberglass boat. Do you still have this boat & what do you think it's high speed potential is? Thanks

I have an impulse31 V3 with some upgrades and it's a beast. Convert yours into a V3 it's night and day over the V2 and then get the Pursuit also! Haha the more the merrier

Why does everyone gotta be so secret about their set up I mean damn we are all having fun I’ll try to help anybody I can I’ll tell them my set up don’t make a damn to me I don’t like people have to sink a bunch of money in-stuff that don’t work. Where I live nobody does the boating thing so everything I buy is trial and error or I have to read on the Internet to see if it works I don’t mind helping others go fast..
