In the US they sold a Ghostbusters metal Pencil box, inside it had a code for various items that includes digital GB episodes. You get 5 Slimer theme episodes from various seasons but the 2 from Season 1 are included.
These are nice for the people who missed out on or can't afford the firehouse set. They never did release all the volumes from that set individually. I believe they only went up to volume 3.
I just ordered this yesterday, lol. I'm disappointed to hear Slimer Come Home isn't on there, it happens to be one of my favorites. As long as the episodes all have Lorenzo Music voicing Peter I'll be happy.

You are going to be disappointed with volumes 6-10 because those episodes will NOT be included. The only way to get Slimer Come Home and Adventures Of Slime In Space is from Google Play or other online download sites. I know what episodes are going to be on volumes 6-10. Volumes 6-10 will also have episodes missing, so don't expect a complete series set after getting volumes 6-10.

The day I lose my mind that’s when I’ll pay an eBay seller that much. No chance in hell.
Unfortunately, even with the complete Sony release (all 10 volumes) you're still missing several episodes. In total there are 29 episodes missing, plus all 33 Slimer! shorts. The only positive is most of these missing episodes are from season 5 through 7 (1989-91), after the show's quality went way downhill IMO. Also missing, although relatively minor, are the title cards and commercial bumpers on the first 5 volumes! It seems unlikely Sony will release more DVD volume to cover the missing episodes, but one can always hope.

Back on DVD and (as frighteningly usual these days for exciting products from "across the pond") totally excluded from the UK market. Absolutely disgraceful. I'm not having a rant at you personally but....I don't know who is controlling "American Distribution" for products worldwide but whatever is going on lately it's one sloppy fuckin job. And before you cough *ahem* "EU referendum issues!" *ahem* to me I'll just point out last years Back To The Future animated series DVD suffered the same disappointing fate for us (long before our Government foolishly decided to play "Russian Roulette" so to speak). So it's nothing to do with recent events. Furthermore products from the new Ghostbusters movie (the four new Busters action figures, pull tongue Slimer, the ghost trap mini playset e.c.t) have yet to reach our stores either (even top products from Bill Murray's other major release, Disney's The Jungle Book). Given the film has long been playing through the summer it doesn't seem likely they ever will now. It does not make any sense that this stuff turns up in locales like Germany and Australia yet can't easily pass the Atlantic to here. I just don't know what the fuck is going on??? I shouldn't have to costly ship and convert my DVD player to Region 1 to enjoy this stuff....should I?!!

However, a German company called 'Turbine Medien' just released all of season 1 and 2 in a box set which has the English audio on it. I bought off of amazon and it plays just fine. Sadly its missing the extras from the Time Life release but the transfer quality of the episodes are the same from what I can see. A second box set is getting a release at the end of next month by the same company which contains the other seasons.

Here, buy this German set (with German language cover and VERY increased prices for Europe fans). The irony is we have the Extreme Ghostbusters (which many in the States seem to want so badly). So, why not a deal? We give them the shittier cartoon series and they give us the damn good one we keep being excluded from? Makes sense huh? lol
Sony has just put out a "Volume 1" of Real Ghostbusters out in the UK this year. Seems to be all of season 1 on it and I assume they plan to release more volumes for the rest of the episodes over time. The way I see it though, its going to take a while for them to release all episodes here that way, so I bought the German set, which is in English anyway so its the same as if it was released here and pretty cheap considering its season 1 and 2, so 78 episodes for £37.

For you it sucked. No matter what the future holds, I (and others) got another GB film that we really enjoyed. Whatever the financial numbers end at, I'm content and happy. New film, new collectibles, return of Hi-C, etc.
Well, they won't be making anymore with that cast. I do love "The Real Ghostbusters," and "The Ghostbusters Video Game," which was far better than that 2016 Ghostbusters film. I am looking forward to "Lego Dimensions Ghostbusters 2016," the movie wasn't good, but I'm sure the Lego game will be a lot better.
