There's one DVD set I have that I have been absolutely bombarded with review requests for. So I am obliging (I was going to do it anyway, but since everyone REALLY seems to want me to do it, I put it a little ahead in the schedule)

Wow! Very nice set! I really need to check this show out. I've seen a few episodes in the past, and it looks like a great show! Nice video!
It never ceases to amaze me how something can be so good (In this case, Zaranyzerak's in depth, informative, entertaining review), yet there are those out there who completely miss the point, don't appreciate it and feel the need to publicly take a dump on it so that everyone can notice them. Why not just click dislike like the others in the minority did, then move on to these much better reviews that exist. In my opinion, Zaranyzerak's multi part review of this set is the best review out there.

I use to watch this show when I was a kid in the 90's. I will probably buy the individual sets.
Being from the UK myself I have to buy the individual sets. Plus I'll bet that Bonus Disk will be released with Volume 5 as the obligatory fifth disk hopefully! Also James Eatock (who worked on the sets) mentions that the earlier episodes were more popular then the later ones. So the individual volumes are also good for fans who want a choice, so fans of the original episodes don't have to buy the later episodes if they don't want to, which I think is fair enough.
Agreed, it would awesome if one day he got the complete Batman TAS set and did a video on it.

Heard the other day that Ghostbusters III is going to be released in May 2011. That's perfect for me, long awaited sequel to my favorite movie, a few weeks before High School Graduation. That means I know what will be my first midnight showing the night before school

Dark Knight had the best Joker you have to admitt,Howard the Duck film from the 80's was great and brings back memories I have not gotten it yet but plan on real soon.
I should pick up this DVD release of The Real Ghostbusters. I like the Real Ghostbusters alot.
When I get my copy of Watchmen that I pre-ordered at FYE, I'm reviewing it.
I missed this set when they had the steelbooks. I don't know why they can't just keep DVD sets the same for all time.
They always have the cooler edition in the beginning for a limited time then you can't find it anymore.

Well that was a great review I'll give you that, however there is a few cons about the box set and pros regarding the individual sets which I will address. The box set is only avaliable throuigh Time Life North America, so fans in other countries can't buy the set. The Time Life regional companies might decide to distribute the full series, but there are currentily no plans to do so right now, so people will end up buying the individual box sets.
I remember Exosquad was never a big fan, probably watch a few episodes, but i think it used to come right after X-men if i can remember on Saturday mornings

I got also a other question about a other cartoon. About a team who hunts monsters and deamons. Most of the team got a robotsuit that comes out of their backpacks and one guy who is a werewolf, do you know which cartoon i mean?
I love this set. TimeLife don't ship to the UK though. I don't think my life will ever be complete.
Hah I know what you mean! Funny that we came to the same conclusion about the same time! You can only get the large box set as a US import here in the UK.

Supposedly, there are plans to rerelease 50 episodes of this show on dvd next month. Hopefully we can see a complete re release follow, since this set has been out of print for some time.
No supposedly about it, there are 5 2-disc volumes coming out next month that each contain 10-12 episodes per volume. They'll also be available in a boxset of all 5 volumes. Barebones, no extras. I would assume if they do well, they'll release more. I keep hoping they'll put out Extreme Ghostbusters, that one's never had any releases over here and in the UK they only got the first few episodes.

fergmaster, the complete animated set is out of print from what I can tell. I have it and its not that special or amazing. It just comes with a bonus disc with a very short documentary.

I been confused with the syndicated and Saturday morning Real Ghost Busters, It was Janine appearance.
Thats weird, i have the exact same box set with everything you have, but mine doesnt have the steelbook dvd's it has the 4 regular dvd's that we can buy separatly...i bought it directly from amazon, everything is there, the booklet, the extra disc..everything! Its definitely not a bootleg

why do you think Batman Mask of Phantasm is better than the dark knight? i read critics liked Batman Mask of Phantasm than Batman Forever, but i liked both.

what with some of the lop holes in the ghostbusters cartoon storeyline. I don't remember seeing them catch Poso partner from partners in slime I don't recall seeing them capture that spider legs ghost from the ransome of green spud episode either. I think swifter may have been redisgned. I know they had to rewrite some episode because the censor were stupid.

Over the last week I've finally taken the challenge and have viewed all 5 parts. You weren't rambling, and yes, you have a great deal of knowledge. However, this series of Ghostbuster 'reviewing', as detailed as it may be, is still bloated to the brim with a lot of boring bits. You're an avid film fan (and btw, LOVED your take on the Predator DNR fiasco and just DNR in general)... so YOU tell ME - Does a longer movie always equal a better movie? No. It doesn't. You need to cut some fat.

Like the Necornomic that appeared in the episode the collect call of Katlu was originally supposed to be in the halloween door episode. But some christian nut jobs our something on the censoring board told them they couldn't have it in because they thought it was a real book and rteligious parents would sue them. They also had some nut jobs back in the 1950 our 1960's that thought gilligan island was real.

Well, they did re-release a couple sets of the first 100-ish episodes, but they were barebones.

And your five parts come to like, what, an hour? Who wants to listen to you ramble on for an hour? "HERE'S THE INTRO TO THE SHOW! BECAUSE I THINK IT'S COOL!" You can be like Michael Bay and provide all the bloat crap that's not necessary, or, you can cut out all the fat and provide something that's informative AND entertaining. Sorry, man, but the fact that this was 5 parts doesn't help you either.

Have you long since own or seen the Blu-Ray version yet Sean? To be honest, I didn't like the actual movie that much, but the Blu-Ray looked great. Grain in tact, and nice detail all-around with no extensive EE or DNR. What do you think?
