Unboxing the RODE - VideoMicro. Compact on-camera microphone.
Comes with: compact microphone, wind muff, TRS male to male cable and Rycote Lyre camera shoe mount.
I got this from BestBuy for $60 to use with my smartphone.
*** NOTE: The supplied TRS male to male cable will work fine with a DSLR MIC in port but for use with a smartphone, you will need to buy a TRS to TRRS male cable plus a TRRS (female) to USB C (Android) OR a TRRS (female) to Apple lightening cable.

What usb c to 3.5mm adapter did you use? Did this microphone work with your s20?

I've mentioned the details under the video. You will need to buy a TRS to TRRS male cable (RODE make) plus a TRRS (female) to USB C (Android) cable (I got the Samsung one). This did work with my S20 but you will need the two cables as I mentioned above.

will the iphone adapter that comes with phones work with this?

It should work but you will still need the TRS to TRRS cable from the microphone which will then connect to your adapter (TRRS 3.5 mm to lightening). The cable that comes with the microphone is a TRS to TRS which works only with mic in (DSLRs)
