  • The Walmart bicycle in this video uses a Falcon brand freewheel. The correct Park Tool Freewheel removal tool is:
    amzn.to/2svDC7X
    I also found the Park Tool FR-11 tool works:
    amzn.to/2rcuzVP
    Here is a link to a list of removal tools based on your brand freewheel:

    Is it possible to lets say remove the biggest diameter sprocket (1st gear) to change it with a mega range sprocket ? Or should I buy a new freewheel cassette?

    You can upgrade your freewheel by putting the 6- or 7-speed freewheel onto that hub?

    I have a question, are back wheels different from the front ones? Because I need a wheel for the back of my bike and I can't seem to find the place to put the cassette.

    You should have showed what attaches into the spline so I can make my own step spending money looks like I just use oversized nut thanks but I don't spend money on a tool I'll use half a dozen times to just have someone steal it.

    • @snakerstran9101
      @snakerstran9101 Před 3 lety +1

      If your referring to the plastic disc, its a spoke guard or some call it a dork disc. That one looks to have some battle wounds from a jammed chain. Its intended to be a sacrificial part to save the spokes from getting damaged from a derailed chain. Some people insist on removing it, I won't I have brought replacement packs off EBAY for cheap. If it is kept in use after getting beat up it will start to cause the cogs to continue rotating after the crank is stopped for coasting and can cause the chain to pile up on top and derail.

    Thanks for the video, I was able to find the correct Freewheel Removal Tool - appreciate the help!
    One problem, the sprocket was NOT moving. Notice in the video how LARGE the wrench is, it's more than radius of the rim.
    If you don't have a wrench of this size, you NEED leverage to remove the stuck sprocket.
    Check out this other video on how to release a STUCK sprocket.

    this is not a cassett...it is a simple freewheel..A cassett gears actually come apart and do not screw in. I am trying to figure out if i can build a freewheel and a casset together..is the only reason i watched this...MISINFORMATION..

    • @snakerstran9101
      @snakerstran9101 Před 3 lety

      Actually its not misinformation, although he did mistakenly refer to both during the video. Free Hub and Free Wheel: The best way to distinguish between them. Your just cherry picking the lingo. The Free Wheel is a cassette as well, it disassembles and consists of a package of parts/cogs, just like the Free Hub, although good luck finding individual parts for the Free Wheel. And no, you can't intermix parts between the Free Wheel and the Free Hub.
