Original Xbox 360 Controller VS Fake

- I ordered 2 Xbox 360 Controllers that were described to be brand new and genuine from Microsoft. But when I received them, I noticed that these are fake replicas and not Genuine Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller.
These are these are issue that I found.
- Logo on center button is not centered.
- Bumps on joystick not centered.
- Hologram logo top of battery pack is not genuine.
- Batter pack sticker is yellow.
- Power light stays blinking when connected.
I personally prefer the Xbox 360 controller over the Xbox One that is why I am ordering Xbox 360 controllers in 2021.

Bro this is depressing, i been trying to get a good condition ps3 & xbox 360 controller cause my original controller analog sticks are to far gone but its hard to find the real thing, especially on ebay & i can't just keep buying em till i get the real thing lol

Also, fake/replica controllers have had analog stick. Compared to original ones, it's hard to do small movements.
Another is that the body of a fake/replica controller is wider than usual xbox 360 controllers.
God I wish I found your video sooner, I bought this controller from the exact seller a week ago and off the bat I could tell something was up. the logo on the button was not nearly as off as in your vid but it was still off nonetheless. Same goes for the sticker on top. I honestly would've tolerated all of that if it weren't for thumb sticks. Trying to play halo never felt so bad, aiming with the right stick felt so hard to controller I had to just strafe and line up my crosshair. Hope more people see this before buying.
Yes replica controllers work fine. But the joysticks are terrible.

I just got one off Amazon and the only reason I think it might be fake is because of the Yellow tags on the battery pack. The joysticks look fine and the player indicator doesn't blink like yours. Idk. If it's fake, it's really well done.
I bought one today. Finding an original xbox360 gamepad is pretty much impossible in our country. So I was looking for A grade replica controller. Found one few days ago and ordered it. Everything is like original one and little dots in the thumb is in right place. Even the X button is in the right shape🤣.
Dang suck to hear that man. But its all good. The problem with replicas is that the joy sticks are terrible and making small movements is very hard due to joystick calibration. go to gamepad-tester.com on a pc and try to move the joystick slowly and you'll see what I mean.
@@JOs9gOmEz I've tasted it already. Are you talking about Error rate? If so then what error rate did you get? I usually play FIFA and F1. So in F1 small movement is needed a bit. I'm planning to buy another controller and currently searching for it. Is the xbox 360 replicas are bad than budget gamepads? I mean not very cheap and not too much expensive.

It's easy to identify fake from original, but you have to feel them. 1st they're lighter than original, then you see it in the Material they use. Originals are mostly darker if they are Black.
And don't forget to see if they have the green symbol
The best way to enjoy this controller is to get the Hyperkin version. It's as close as you can get to the original with very minor differences. Like no green lights or battery compartment on the back since it only works as a wired controller. But at least the buttons feel identical to the original and it's very comfortable to use just like I remember.

I have 4 brand new that I collected a couple years ago. I dont use them, I just keep fixing my main one. Funny how they are harder to find now.
the casing really won't be similar because anyone can re use the original controller casing including the buttons and all.. but inside parts are not original .. because a controller will be broken because of the motherboard is ruined and not because of the other reason and the keys don't break off either so it's reusable parts
there are many high copies than this one that you can't even tell the difference between
I remember when I got my 360 with a gamepad and I decided to buy another one to play with my friends you can easily feel the difference while using them but you can't see it by looking at them
this copy is so visible than what I got back then, you can't trust anyone this is so disappointing:(
Does your real black controller have the Microsoft logo ontop like the pink one or Xbox360 like the fake ones?

An easier way to spot a fake Xbox 360 controller is to see if it has the symbol and then feel the touch of the buttons,i bought one fake white controller from eMag at 113RON on december

My RB for the original Xbox 360 controller just died today, are there any other alternatives besides bootleg 360 controllers? It's hard to find "original from machine " controllers.
Bumper button switches are pretty easy to replace. You should be able to find the switches on ebay. But you can buy a replica and use it for parts. Reason is because they are just button switches and not potentiometers like the Joysticks and L/R triggers use and need to calibrated.

There seems to be zero nuance, so if you're playing a game where 0 to 100 matters they are fine. But if you want to walk or crawl, you WILL have a problem.

The fake controller is not that bad if you don't spend much time on gaming and also if you find it for cheap price

I purchased the original Microsoft Xbox 360 USB wireless receiver. And everything work just plug and play on windows 10.

They don't make it anymore so don't expect your probably gonna get a original.

I don't think they tried. If they would've "tried so hard" like you said, they would at least tested the controllers before sending them out
You left out the most obvious thing indicating they are fake. The real ones say “Microsoft” on top, with a split on the right side of the ‘o’, and the ‘ft’ are connected. The fake ones say “Xbox 360” on the top.
Not accurate. The 360 pads made before the slim was released have "microsoft" on the sync plate. The ones made after have "xbox 360" on them. The fake ones used to have nothing inscribed on the sync plate; it looks like they are getting more creative
I purchased one from the "EXACT SAME" seller on Ebay last year... His ad said genuine controllers but mine did not work... as soon as I opened it I knew it wasn't original... Sent it back and they sent me a replacement which also had defects... JUNK!!!😡

Strange my fake one my neighbor gave me doesn’t blink I can tell it’s fake there’s no Microsoft or Xbox 360 symbols on it but tbh it does feel like a oem controller wich is odd
What will give it away is the Joysticks calibration making small movements is hard.

Thank, I'm doing my best to find the best controller to play Shenmue (1, 2 & 3, still the best open world game because it's the father of all open world games that doesn't fell like a grind) and max out the RPG level of Ryo's martial arts skills :-)
