No, I actually used the $79.00 y-pipe from eBay. It does use clamps to secure the y-pipe but with the muffler being bolted the exhaust is solid. No problems or leaks. Best $79.00 I ever spent. The stock cat is so restricted
I also did the y pipe first and ran the stock muffler for a couple weeks while waiting for the the muffler. It actually sounded decent for the stock muffler. Oh yeah, and be prepared man. The M4 is looouud haha.. I love it though.

Did you use the M4 Y pipe? & did it bolt on good no problem?
