    Hi! Ms. Ara.. I had fun watching at the same time learning your Korean dishes simple and easy to follow. A very unique food vlog, no need for English Subtitle ㅋㅋ I have to seek for your suggestion, is it possible to cook tteokbokki na hindi spicy or without using chili paste? My colleagues wanted to try this since I told them it is really delicious as they see on Kdramas but they find it too spicy. even though mild spicy hindi nila ma take ang spiciness. If u mind give a different recipe na not spicy tteokbokki. Thank you so much. Stay safe po 😊

      @deliciousLeewithAra  Před 2 lety +3

      Hi florence! The original tteokbokki really is spicy, but as an alternative you may want to try cooking the SOY version tteokbokki instead

    Hi Chef Ara! I'm looking for teokbokki recipe and saw your video :) new subscriber here. I saw someone using samjang instead of gochujang. Is it okay bcus I have samjang here, what would be the difference?

    • @deliciousLeewithAra
      @deliciousLeewithAra  Před 2 lety +1

      in korea we use GOCHUJANG or CHILI POWDER for tteokbokki- and ssamjang mostly as a “dip” for meat, etc. samjang is actually a mixture of fermented bean paste + gocujang
      If you would want to go authentic- pls just use gochujang 🤗

    • @deliciousLeewithAra
      @deliciousLeewithAra  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, and if it is the “korean” type of gochugaru, it would melt so its okay. However other types of chili flakes as they would use different chili- may not be recommended

    • @deliciousLeewithAra
      @deliciousLeewithAra  Před 3 lety

      Hi there, no need to add starch as the rice cake as it cooks will thicken the sauce, also the Gochujang (chili paste) thickens the sauce as it is boiled because it contains starch on its own already :)

    • @deliciousLeewithAra
      @deliciousLeewithAra  Před 2 lety

      Its quite hard to make TTOEK from scratch, it requires alot of more complicated process for you to attain the right texture of tteok. (grinding mixing steaming etc) however its not impossible- 😉

    How many days po ma preserve yung tteokbokki ? Like same po ba sya sa kimchi na weeks. Pwd pa kainin ?

    • @deliciousLeewithAra
      @deliciousLeewithAra  Před 3 lety

      Hi marz! Nope, it is best recommended to be eaten as cooked. Maybe you can store in ref for couple of days, but the rice cake (tteok) wont be as chewy as it was when newly made.
      Kimchi- can be preserved longer because it is fermented, and not really cooked 😉
