I just realised that tteobokki is basically like our Italian "Gnocchi", chewy but made with another flour. I just made this and it tastes so good, it's so nice and chewy
Gnocchi is different because it didn't need much ingredients like tteobokki need. There shape is also very different.
@@rarachan5838 tteokbokki here it's rice flour and water, Italian gnocchi are flour, potatoes and egg so gnocchi has more ingredients. When you do them at home you can also make them with the same shape of tteokbokki but shorter (it's just faster to them that way) the consistency is almost the same

I just made this (didn’t have fish cake, so just added more boiled eggs) but it was delicious! The flavour is so bold that I still have to get used to it, but it was fun making the rice cake from scratch and I will definitely try out more rice cake recipes

hi, non-asian here, you can buy rice flour at your local grocery store, and instead of korean chili paste, you can just substitute some kind of hot sauce and even more chili powder. If you wanna add some kind of protein, instead of the fish cake you can add sausage. But most people don't even cook the food, we just come for nino so I'm useless😩

-1/2 rice flour
-warm water
-2 tbsp chilli powder
-1 tbsp sugar
-1/4 tbsp salt
-1 tbsp sesame oil

If you don't have rice flour then follow these steps :-
1) Take rice and brake it. And soak over 7-8 hours in water.⏲️
2) Then scatter rice on dry cloth over 1 hour in air
3) When rice is dry then grind it. Rice flour is done....
