QF-002 Baby 2CH Airplane with LED Lights - Part 1: Unboxing and Assembly

- I used to consider 2-channel RC airplanes toys for kids, not tools for RC hobbyists to practice their skills and have fun with in the local park. However, after recently experiencing the stability and high fun and coolness factors of my first small, outdoor, 2-channel airplane (Flybear FX-820 SU-35), my opinion changed considerably:

In the past, I had only owned and flown 2-channel airplanes that had been very slow and small models, much more appropriate for indoor flying. Their directional changes were sluggish and delayed, and these models usually did not do well outdoors even in light wind.
What I experienced with the Flybear FX-820 SU-35 came as a total surprise to me. Thanks to its gyro stabilizing it, it did great in the wind. Also it was unusually fast despite its two tiny motors; I think its speed was partially due to its streamlined “fighter jet” design. I had great fun with it and started to consider it a cheap, simple, but legit entry to RC airplanes, especially for people on limited budget and unsure of their initial interest level in this hobby.
Which brings us to the subject of this video, the QF-002 Baby 2-channel airplane. I purchased this airplane on eBay for a total of $27.50 shipped to our door. (After using my $25 coupon from eBay, I ended up spending only $2.50!) Besides being very inexpensive, what is special about this little airplane is that it comes with LED lights, which makes night flying possible. As the days are getting shorter, I wanted to have an airplane that I can fly in the local park after work and before dinner. This is my first “night flyer” RC airplane!

I got the fx805 but when I see this one it is so cute and I really want it but I got the fx805 so I can’t do anything about it so yea I still love my rc plane all rc planes are good looking
Agreed, the SU-35 probably the best 2-channel RC plane out there, it flies great with just a small mod for proper CG. Most of the others I tried have been fly away, like the C-17, Predator Z51 and that little Cessna Flybear since none have elevators and any wind thermal will take them.
This "Baby" is a bit slower than the SU-35, but it has lights for night flying! I love them both; I just flew them in the local park this evening just before dinner.

Thank you! My friend Tim placed red and green fil. over the white LEDs at the wingtips. They gave some color, but not much. Color layers applied by Sharpies are too thin to change the color spectrum of the light emitted from the white LEDs.

Hello everyone! @Props&wheesls -> great video! I also bought a QF-002. Unfortunately I have a problem when flying.
As soon as I want to fly left or right, the propeller stop.
The plane sinks afterwards, you want to accelerate, but this does not work.
The battery is fully charged. Maybe someone can help me.

arrived without lightstrip,i found on perfect jack for the for board from an an old batterie ,anybody what led are best to use ? mini led with 3,7 volt ?
There are two versions of Baby, one without and one with LED strips. Looks like you got the vesion without. You can purchase and use these LED strips:
