the hvr200a is different to most Henry vacuum cleaners because the high/low switch is now a kettle type red switch and a red indicator to tell if it's 1200w or not
It actually runs at 1100w but when it’s blocked the motor spins quicker hence why it sounds higher pitched as it’s then running at 1200w

I own a HVR200A and had it since 2012. It’s a American version since I’m in the US. I’ve actually wondered if it’s possible to convert the auto save into how the -22s were where you didn’t have to start in low mode. Do you know how I’d be able to do that? I haven’t seen a American version of the HVR200-22 anywhere so it would be great if I could turn my auto save into one.
Hi, the Hvr200-22 has a different circuit board to the HVR200A so it will require changing along with the speed selector switch in order to convert it into a HVR200-22
However, they can be bypassed to single speed where the motor instantly runs at full speed only, by removing the pcb and the wires from the speed selector switch and making the circuit into a series circuit like most single speed corded vacuums have

@@parwaz7861 one more question do I need one for a 120V? Or can I just use one from the UK?
It should be a 120V circuit board, I’m not sure if a 240V one would work on 120V as they have complicated circuitry in them, the switch would need replacing too I believe
@@parwaz7861 will do, I have been looking up the parts numbers and found the number for a 120V version but they have the other numbers included. Finding the switches are easy but this board is a bit tricky.

@@JacksVacs It needed a whole new toolkit along with base and filter which is most of the vacuum cleaner so it wasn’t worth repairing unfortunately
