- In today's video, we're at G3 Auctions in Yorkshire. Their Castleford site is absolutely amazing, everything is brand new, purpose built and high tech. You'd hope so, seeing as they've invested £12,000,000 into the place!
I was really curious to see how the auction hall runs and what the pricing would be like. I was pleasantly surprised in both regards. The dual lane hall made for fast paced bidding and I didn't get bored like I do at some auction days. Prices were really competitive too, in fact I'm kicking myself for not putting my hand up more! But I'll be back!

G3 come across as very professional, and I love the innovation witht their 360 inside cams, their exterior cam seems to have a bit of a bug where you cant rotate it though, but i'm sure they'll fix it, the other auctions have a got a new standard to catch up to i think. Looks like a nice snazzy place, shoutout to that man who noticed noticed not just you but Toby lol. Looked like a good vibe, I grew up not too far from there, people generally warmer/nicer up north vs London/home counties imo.
99% of people who have said hello to me, have said hello to Toby by name too, which is really nice!
You did the right thing with the Evoque . Manuals are not popular and are often for the lower powered 2wd version. As a 2015 it is unlikely to meet the Euro 6 emissions which it why it may be in the auction. Insurance is up c. £1000 to due to theft issues.

Hi Joe. Great video bro. A Change is as good as a Rest, as they say, it's good to see whats around. I would have probably went for that VXR, good colour Black but I would have kept it for myself for awhile. Who wouldn't lol. I think it's hard to get a nice one. Bought maybe around 10 cars over the years from car Auctions and everyone has been half decent certainly no problems. Ive had cars from BCA at Brighouse several Manheim Leeds and Knottingley. Years ago BCA seemed to have better quality cars its time BCA opened all sites upto the public.

My Hyundai Kona has more spec than cars double the price, I still find it amazing that a 40k car when new didn't have heated seats, heated steering wheel, sat nav & reversing camera

I'm here, because I've read through the reviews for copart and have been spooked off enough not to venture in that direction. This coming year I want to get actively involved with the auctions, now is research time.

Didn’t see how many tailpipes the bmw had but if it’s even a 520d at that age as long as it has the m57 engine is it not a 4-5k car? More if it’s a 525 up, won’t be a lci on an 07 but still a very nice car.
I'm visiting G3 pretty regularly delivering vehicles there, mainly ex lease vehicles, ex motability vehicles etc. Yep I'm a plater lol

The market is dropping like hell. I’ve had got a one owner, HPI clear 2018 Clio with 51k miles up for 6k and I’ve not even had a sniff!!!!
Not surprising , prices have no where near bottomed out , maybe they'll come back to pre pandemic sensibility. My wifes had Clio's and despite the reputation they're ok.
@@topfuelteddy I ended up trading it in for £5.5. Only had 2 other people make contact after trading wanting to buy. I’ve used a clio as runabout since 2005, and had them in the family since 1996. I’ve driven every shape and while they’re definitely less troublesome nowadays (the older ones did have various electrical gremlins, fly wheel sensors on the Mk2 for example). The newer ones have unfortunately lost the charm they once had. They were light weight and even the base models cornered very well. The mk2 probably being the best. Gradually they got heavier and started using much cheaper shock absorbers, which really affected the handling on country lanes.
@@rupertm2542 same as Laguna's mate , flywheel sensors, throttle bodies , the anti corrosion protection on them was brilliant though , 10 year old cars looked like new underneath.

Struggling to understand why this is a surprise. 3 years of restricted supply. 2 years of surplus cash, low inflation and 15 years of low interest rates. Perfect storm. Now we have supply, high inflation, high rates and no cash. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

They have different tiers but fees would be circa £50 less on a £1000 car for me than from BCA
Gives it the large saying “if you get the evoke for £6k - £6.5k your getting a bargain and then when it comes up he stops bidding when it hits £5300!
That’s hardly giving it ‘the large’ you plum, I hesitated at the time due to LR market but regretted it after. Shit happens

@@adrianwalsh896no ive bought plenty well under book an done well out of them. Always remember an xc60 in red an like showroom condition at bca derby, the auctioneer was trying his to get a bid it was 4k under book. Saw it in the trader not long after with well over a 6k margin on it

There’s probably a calculation suggesting a certain height of roof for adequate airflow given the number of cars being driven in and out. Maybe they’re future proofing it so they can put in another level or two if they wanted to adapt the building. I like the height!🤷🏽♂️

Going to cost you a bit for delivery bud, your 220 miles away, don't know about fees as well, I think Aston barclay are the cheapest, with fees and delivery you'll be adding a grand on.

It involved a heck of a lot of managing people, negotiating with partners and clients, setting up and maintaining a massive online platform…the list goes on. You have absolutely no idea.
