Full credit to Croatia, they showed real hustle here against a team I would consider virtually unbeatable.
30 point difference is hardly a hustle...they lost same margin as most teams did on those Olympics against USA

Man we were so proud playing against the glorious Dream Team in the Olympic finals, amidst very hard times for our small country. I was a 12 year old boy and have just starting the biggest love for the game. Dražen's death was an awful shock the next year and our national team started to decline, but half of the country continued to root for Kukoč, MJ and the Bulls till late '90s and every existing court in Croatia was full of kids playing basketball ❤️
Croatia still one of the best in Europe now.

Back then I didn't know much about Tony but how could you not love him.

I was very happy for our guy Bogdanović dropping career high 48 points, he's such a great guy, humble and always giving his all, sadly the team didn't make it a bit better in the playoffs. This was the real USA Dream Team, a roster full of great great champions.
It has always been beyond me where the popularity of this game comes from. Some tall chaps bounce a ball down a gym, jump up and put it in a basket. Then the other team has the ball and bounce sit to the other end of the gym and puts it into the basket at that end. And repeat. And because it goes on for so long, the scores get really high. So boring. I realise this won’t be a majority opinion.

Life was a bit less complicated in those days. Our attention was focused on the moment (not on cell phones---we "texted" on pagers 😆). I was very proud of my American team!
The fact that Croatia lead at any time in the game let alone as late as we did against the best basketball team ever assembled while also going through a brutal war for independence and basically survival is a testament to Croatian heart. No one did this! Also World Cup of soccer 2018 and 2022!!! Hrvatska !!
