Interesting enough, this is my first DMC game before diving into the rabbit hole of actual DMC games and which made me all the more hyped when DMC V was announced
Mine too, though after playing every other dmc game (including 2) i felt ashamed of this whole game and i ended up understanding why lots of people hated this as a DMC game.

Yeah bro that would've been a better name for this spin off but ay you never know they might throw a few remasters and a sequel instead of DMC 6 in mix haha
I doubt that a sequel will ever happen, Hideaki Itsuno the long time Director of the series said during an interview before DMC5 was released, that he wanted to do a sequel for the reboot but since Ninja Theory was bought out, trying to get a collaboration would be difficult & it just didn't sit right with him to do a sequel without Ninja Theory.

I remember being such an impressionable young lad back in the day playing games like prototype 1 and 2 and then I saw this game and was very sad it wasnt open world, but soon embraced that it was like hub worlds, just...a year later at 11 I would realize that the previous game DMC 4 did it soooo much better. It was just too complex for my child mind. This game should've gotten its sequel but I hope for it in the future.
Yeah, I think it deserved a sequel at least it got a decent Vergil DLC. This was also my first DMC game as well, but I never thought about giving the previous games a try. But man Prototype 1 and 2 were both great games, good times.
You know im willing to argue that that this dmc has the best soundtrack, not the best song but the best overall dmc soundtrack😂

Let's agree to disagree, I have never gone out of my way to look up or listen to the reboots soundtrack, but that could be thanks to the absence of a cool scene where the music is playing.

Same lol I knew it existed, but I never realized this wasn't canon haha but yea overall the soundtrack was a banger in this game
only things i can agree on this game is that the Music, Combat and level designs are so damn good. but i just pretty much hate everything else about this game including characters. except for Kat, she kind of grew on me

Yeah it’s not that deep. Game was still fun regardless. But I’m sure the DMC fans will say this is better than DMC 2 at least.
DMC fan here, I agree this game is better than DMC2, but it isn't that hard to beat DMC2 in quality since it was only in production for like 4 months.
