Holy crap I've wanted something like this for so long, longest time I've used the free but dinky DSK Music box which was...fine, only ever really felt like a mockup instrument.
It's a super cool instrument! 😁 It has its challenges to use, but there's nothing really like it out there. 👀

A cool free alternative if you dont have RX Spectral De-noise is to use Audacity's noise reduction effect! Just select the part of your audio clip that plays only noise and let the effect detect it, then it will remove the noise in the rest of the audio clip. Then import that audio file into your daw of choice once you're happy with the sound itself :)
Definitely, man! Audacity actually has some pretty slick noise reduction tools! I used it for a loooong time before RX!

Does it sound like a real music box? Im just listening through mic and speakers mind you, but it sounds a bit worse possibly? I like the idea of a programmable music box, but maybe it could be more real sounding and designed closer to traditional ones?
Hi! Thank you for watching! I would say, tone-wise, it's about as music box-y as it gets! In real life, it's got a great sound! The only potential thing that might annoy someone is that it has a light drone of a motor in the background, but in some ways, I feel that lends it an aesthetic quality of its own!
