African American moms choosing to move to Africa is a wise move on their part. The world is changing fast and raising kids well in the US is honestly getting harder in so many ways. Plus they still have an opportunity to impart their great cultural values into the children without having state interference.

Oh…here we go with this rhetoric. I moved with two children to Rwanda on my own. I have moved abroad before to the UAE. I’m educated, work hard, take care of my kids, and am proud of my accomplishments. O’Shay, brother, you can’t generalize. Not all single moms wear the same size shoe. Those who may be evicted in the states may have issues that others of us don’t. Why single moms are always a hot topic remains a mystery to me. For every single mom there’s a man who made her one whether it was through death, divorce, or etc. WE ARE HERE regardless of your feelings. There are plenty of us women who are business owners, employed, and doing our thing. I am one of them, and I’m for anyone with the right mentality moving to the continent.

Always looking for an exception to rules to justify bad behavior. Yes, he can and should generalize. For most single mothers there is a woman who chose it. Very few are from divorce or death. Most are the result of a woman exercising her unilateral right to have a bastard child. You being educated and in the UAE, taking of your children and being proud of your accomplishments does not change the fact that you deprived your children of the most basic birthright which is two biological parents full time in their lives. Being busines owners, employed, and doing your thing does not change the fact that you robbed your own children.

@@u.s.lawyer8542 You guys are the same men who shame black women for aborting children if they’re going to be born out of wedlock. So miss me with this nonsense. It takes two people to have a child. Just because your child is born out of wedlock does NOT mean that it needs to grow up without a father. The reason that happens is because the men are not in their child’s life. They are the ones choosing that decision. It’s disturbing to me how you guys constantly blame the one parent who actually stuck around. It’s like as if they gave birth on their own by magic. I love how you are saying all these cruel things to someone who would by all accounts is successful. It’s amazing that she was able to do all of that on her own. As black men, we are the worst in terms of embracing family values. In the West the divorce rates among people of Arican descent are among the worst. In Africa, we have a lot of men who like to have side relationships and the only reason most sisters endure this is because they are financially dependend on the man for their livelihood.
The average man is going to marry any woman they feel compatible with regardless whether they have a kid/s or not. Granted if there a baby daddy who is problematic in the background then a man may think twice. We need more empathy than these holier than thou attitudes. In African society, single moms are often shunned..or rather you would not be taken seriously. In many cultures in Africa, they have a special name for single moms...it's not nice. However, in light of current economic times, a single mom from America can make it far in East Africa, because of the value of the currency - in this case, she is bringing something to the table; better currency and possibly of being an American citizen.
However, the American single mom must remember that African men are often more masculine and will demand certain traditional behaviours expected of a good wife. Should she not behave accordingly, the situation would end up downhill.

They don't. This is a topic that was completely made up. Single moms from the US are not moving to any African country in mass numbers. There is no incentive or reason for them to do so. Most are in the US, working, educating themselves and their children, and living life.

Look bottom line it is not the money you go with , its the money you generate while you are living there, let alone being able to get the residency to stay, people will not help because when they see you come to there country they expect you to help them , once you can't you will not recieve help of any form under most circumtances, so have a good plan of action in terms of all your ducks in a row.
