The Penguins tribute to Marc-Andre Fleury was EVERYTHING I wanted it to be. After everything he gave the Penguins fans he deserved nothing less. It was one of the most emotional moments I've been able to watch in sports.
Kane only has a couple woman that have pressed charges against him for rape. Great guy. From the city as me. Few years younger than me but both played hockey. Know some of the same people. Im not salty hes rich and famous just saying he's not exactly a role model.
I’m a lifelong Caps fan and I almost cried during the Pens’ tribute to Fleury. I’m very happy that I don’t have to hate him now that he’s in Vegas lmao
As a blues fan I've always liked Patrick Kane and I always get to the point of almost crying when I see the interview of him after his grandfather passed away
Fleury's kids are absolutely adorable as they watch their Dad's tribute in amazement. ESPECIALLY the one who has her hands on her cheeks the whole time. lol So cute!
My grandpa died 2 years ago from Alzheimers right after the capitals won the Stanley cup and I'm a capitals fan and I understand what Oshie's is going through in that interview
My father didn't pass from Alzheimers but I did lose him last summer. Bladder cancer took him and the last 2 months of his life absolutely destroyed me. I feel for Oshie
I was in tears for the Pascal Dupuis clips. When I was five I did hockey training and his daughter was in my class, so I got to see him every week for 7 weeks, and that was the year he retired. He was a great guy.
17:25. The moment that everyone thought a player died on NHL's biggest stage. 18:02. The rise of a warrior, a rise of a legend. Paul Kariya will forever be remembered for that moment for all time
I love how Joe Sakic just immediately handed the Stanley Cup to Ray Borque instead of really enjoying any time with it himself. What a legend of a Captain.
Always been a Caps fan but always respected Fleury. A fierce competitor and personality, a force to be reckoned with in every matchup between the Caps and Pens and beyond. Class act.
What a reception for fleury , I know he was a Pittsburgh legend but still I can’t imagine there’s many away team goal tenders have ever received a reception like that before
Two of my favorites didn't make the list... Gretzky's last game in the league was a huge emotional moment at the end when he was thanking the fans and doing laps. Also, if you haven't seen it watch the ceremony for Shane Doan's jersey retirement... his acceptance speech was amazing and a truly great emotional moment. Doan was one of the nicest guys to ever play the game, a great captain and leader, plus he always looked like he was having fun out there, yet he didn't get as much attention because of being in a small market. Another great moment if you want to check it out was when Doan got his first NHL hat trick with a buzzer beater.
As a Wings Fan, when Vladimir Konstantinov Stood up for the first time, and then when they won it the Team presented him with the Cup, that shit made me emotional. We in Detroit just wanted for him to recover, we didn't care if he was able to play again. We just wanted him to get better.
Oh my heart :( I went to a bruins lightning game a couple years back while scrolling through old pictures the other day I realized that I actually took a picture of Colby cave, broke my heart but made me so happy I was able to see him play in person. I can’t imagine the pain his family and everyone went through the past year RIP Colby ❤️
As a lifelong Wings fan growing up in the 90's, Sakic has always been, to me, a class act. I can't believe I'm just now seeing this clip with Ray Bourque. What a great thing Sakic did for arguably one of the best defenseman to ever play the game
Seeing Kane so devastated due to the death of his grandfather really hit me, my beloved papa meant everything to me and i dont even think i would play hockey or love it like I do if it wasnt for him
"He doesn't remember a lotta stuff, but bet your ass he's gonna remember this one." Why is everything blurry? What is this stuff comming out of my eyes?
I remember seeing Ray Bourque get his Stanley Cup and just crying my 7 year old eyes out. What a great end to a great career and what a class act by Sakic
That Kane moment hit home hard i lost my best friend of 20 years to suicide literally talked to him the day before he died everything was fine to a phone call from his mom in the morning. Great video! Captured the essence you were looking for!
What a great video!!! If you get honoured like that, you know you really made it... If thousands of people cheer for you, even the opponent, you know you are something special (Fleury, Dupuis, returning Koivu, ...) ... you can unite people and create good mood
If only the Islanders fans were more appreciative towards John Tavares, instead of booing him on his return; It would have made it in this video as well.
Although I agree, it's to a certain extent. Fleury won 3 cups. All of these is from players who helped win. Tavares got passed the 1st rd once. All his fault? Nope not saying that but you gotta achieve quite a bit to be treated like fleury did.
For Flury it must be super hard to retain your composure I mean he’s at his old house where everything began and now playing for the knights and he was playing his team that’s gotta be hard
Hockey is the Best! I have been a Flyers fan since I was a little girl; I bleed orange and black, baby! With that said; I can recognize so many of the talented players that play for the NHL, and I tip my hat to them. Hockey!!! ❤️❤️
I miss Fleury so much. To this day when he comes to Pittsburgh everyone still cheers for him and chants his name. It’s been like 5 years and we still miss him
Will go down as one of my top 3 goalies to watch. Heart of gold, loves the game and has fun doing it. Absolute gentleman, has always been a complete stud. The guy took it all in from behind his own net to get the full scope. What else to say?
This is the thing about hockey fans. We are wild, loud, sometimes obnoxious, we love to “hate” teams and players. But one thing this sport has over all other sports is the ability to instanty flip that switch off and come together as humans and realize these guys are just that. I’m a Bruins fan, you think i like Patty Kane, not a sliver of a chance, but watching him break down over his Grandfather who he loved so much makes you want to cry with him. I don’t think any other sport can bond so many people together as a family than hockey and the NHL. I love to be a hockey fan and I love all of you fans reading this ❤

I’m glad the reporter steered Kane away from his grandfather..it looked like he wouldn’t have been able to hold it together much longer
