- 2008 Audi S6 With Magnaflow Exhaust and custom piping with stock tips. Removed 2 out of 4 resonators. 5.2 Liter v10 Lamborghini Gallardo engine increased to 450hp. Last 2 (larger) resonators deleted. 2 MagnaFlow 5x11' Oval/ 2.5in./2.5in. (In/Out) Stainless mufflers installed; both Inlet/Outlet are 2.5."

@@bayliduff7509 Yes it was, and I liked it at the time. The throttle response is really awesome. But, the LFA is over-engineered. If a person were to re-construct the LFA without any interior panels and use straight pipe for the exhaust, I'd reconsider it.

The two back (larger) resonators were taken out, and replaced with I believe 2.25 or 2.5 inch mandrel bent stainless steel piping. The car has an H pipe, and the muffler outlet is offset to accommodate for the stock muffler tips to be welded back on. The muffler size is 5x11 inch (oval) if I remember correctly.

I miss my S6.. amazing car to drive and sounded incredible. Although not the fastest when comparing to the E60 m5, but whenever you mash that pedal it's a symphony.. don't miss the repair bills and the constant trips to the dealership however haha
I was never sure about the repair costs for an S6. Although I thought the E60 M5 was far worse on the repair side? $$$$

The stock piping in an S6 is very restricting in terms of airflow. I believe there are between 2 to 4 catalytic converters, then mufflers and resonators. Since it's a true dual, those components are present on each exhaust portion, from the exhaust manifold (headers) all the way to the tips at the back of the car. Some minor adjustment such as a muffler/resonator delete would dramatically make a difference in terms of sound.
So far this is the best sounding car iv ever heard. Thumbs up to your sir for a very awesome car.

wow the V10 growl just comes to life with very clean sound. The OEM exhaust already sounds good, but somehow there's some high-pitch mixed into it and the V10 growl wasn't that obvious.

The exhaust setup isn't quite expensive compared to full aftermarket system liek milltek. This was around $500-$600.

This isn't an exhaust system directly developed for the specific use on an Audi S6. These are simply mufflers made by Magnaflow that allow for direct fitment of an S6.

Thank you! The V8 will give you a much lower pitched growl than what you hear from the S6 V10 above, but you can certainly mimic this setup with deleting two of the rear resonators and installing magnaflow mufflers.

The car has comfort access, meaning you do not need to insert the key into the slot in order to start the car. If the key is within range of the car, it can start without it.

The Audi S6 comes 435hp stock. The Lamborghini LP560 delivers 560 hp, not the S6. The S6 does have the Gallardo engine block, but you're talking about a completely different car (luxury sedan vs high performance coupe).

Audi offers key-less entry/ignition. As long as the key is inside the car, it can start without actually being turned. And finally, no, the car is not stolen.

Currently I drive a 2003 Audi RS6 and I'm currently looking for a 2007/2008 S6 to setup like this. I test drove one and love everything about this car! Definitely want it setup like this.

That's correct, primary and secondary cats are intact, along with the stock piping and 2/4 resonators. Changing the mufflers makes that much of a difference.
I'm picky and that sounds great. If I heard that on the street , I wouldn't look for that car to be making that cool and mean sound.

It all depends. This setup gives the same thing, quiet at low rpm's, and screams at high rpm's. After we experimented with this, we loved it. MTM does sound great though!

I have the little brother with the V8. The electrical issues in these cars are borderline criminal. One day it's my tail light not working, Emergency brake, or some other bullshit that pops up as a warning only for my shop to tell me everything is working fine.

The V6 and V10 produce dramatically different exhaust notes. There are many aftermarket manufacturers that make the V6 sound great, but it will always be different, in the sense that yours is more smooth and higher pitched than the the V10.

This is how the s6 should have sounded from the factory, with the lamborghini v10. It's just a shame that it was covered up so much. I like the overall subtlety to the car, but it would be cool, to have the lamborghini logo on the engine underneath the hood, and the raw v10 sound when you get going.

hi there. the extra horsepower ist from the turbochargers and probably some slight modifications in the basic motor. so i dont think you could tune an S6 to the power of a RS6 without some severe changes, which probably would exceed the price difference between an S6 and a RS6. further the RS6 is broader and the whole setup ist even more towards a racing machine. But im no expert, it's just an opinion, would have to ask my friend at an audi garage. S6 nice anyway, have one myself.

@MiguelFreita V10's have a distinctive noise, quite high pitched. On the other hand V8's are very very deep. quite easy to tell the difference really.

It's not stolen, it's a keyless ignition system, if the key is within a certain range of the car, it will remote start.

it has flappy gearchanger on te steering wheel so you put it in sport mode on the automatic and you use it it is cool it shifts better than normal manual gerabox

Nice sound from a big sedan, I had a 03 A6 2.7T and a 06 A6 3.2 both Quattro S-lines. But since I saw and heard those V12 CLK GTR GT1 cars, nothing comes close. (maybe Mclaren F! streetcar and GT1}

@maserati48 It depends which Gallardo V10 you are talking about. the 5.0 is not the same tech as Audi 5.2. but the newer gallardo v10 do share the same tech.
88 vs 90mm bore spacing. Audi allways used 90.

Very cool, the LED's are great, aren't they? Honestly, I'm not sure. I remember on this 08 model only one or the other could stay on, not both, but I am certain of people being able to do some rewiring work to have both on simultaneously, which looks great.
Its actually push button start. You can use the key as well but don't need to. Just have the key somewhere in the car.

The S6 has the same engine block as the gallardo, and yes, it's vastly detuned, but both are different cars. A mid engine gallardo as opposed to a front engine sedan...

@maserati48: Not all, only the high/ higher performance ones... On the Normal "A"-models, the Quattro AWD system is only an optional extra.... But well since most Audi buyers want exactly that, most Audis in use, are indeed AWD
The 2008 E60 M5 has a 5.0 liter V10, not a V8.
Sorry to a recent comment that I accidentally removed instead of hitting the "reply" button. Audi offers a keyless ignition system. When the key is inside the car, you simply need to press the engine start button to turn on the car.

Sounds great. Almost bought one, but the looks were a little subdued for my extroverted taste. May want to try an X-Pipe as close to the collectors as you can.. may get rid of some of that raspyness you get when not in gear... smooth it out. Does sound WAY better than stock though... good job.

Unfortunately no, each particular engine has their own unique sound. The V6 exhaust note is more smooth, less burble, and a higher pitch altogether which still produces a great sound.
