Help my workstation, HP z440, wont show anything in screen. Before that it boot it up and I could access the BIOS. I changed some settings in the BIOS.The error then was the 6 beeps and I fixed it by pressing the CMOS button for 5 seconds. Now the computer does not beep, but it does even show anything on screen (no booting or even displaying the logo of HP), it is just a black screen. Moreover, when I now power on the computer, it create static noises and it seems that motherboard does not give any external power (like mouse and keyboard wont work, but the internal fans of the computer (CPU fans and video card's fan turn on). I need help, I don't what to do to fix this.
A few questions... 1. Do all of the Z440s include TPM 2.0 support (needed for Windows 11), or just some of them? 2. Do all Z440s have all 8 DIMM sockets installed, or do some have only 4 DIMM sockets? (How to tell, without opening up and looking?) 3. HP servers complain if non-HP memory is installed ("HP Smart Memory"). Does the Z440 have that problem? 4. Do 32GB DIMMs work in the Z440s? (e.g., 8x 32 = 256 GB)
all HP do is put in a half decent processor load it with ram so its fast,,,,notice they stay away from talking about the power supply, and motherboard,,,,both made by HP,,,,,CRAP, trying to upgrade ,you will have to buy it from HP, you can build 1 for half the price
Please stay away from this system unless you are damn rich and know nothing about PC. max ram just 128GB and only support DDR4 16GB. So you need Z640 or Z840 to support bigger RAM/slot WTH?? RAM cost you USD4350 for 128GB DDR4-2133 (8x16GB) Registered RAM+$4350. Crazy fan control and never activate high flow although cpu reach 75degC or more so it not smart. You need to edit in bios manually or maybe pay more money for upgrade :)
