This speech delivers on what we all love Jordan Peterson for:
His captivating speaking style, profound insights, and unmatched ability to weave together different concepts and narratives into a compelling and beautiful picture.
In this speech, Jordan Peterson delves into the profound themes of choice, responsibility, and personal growth at life's inevitable crossroads. Peterson eloquently discusses how each decision shapes our destiny, urging us to aim upward rather than succumb to lower temptations. He emphasizes the importance of truth, courage, and ethical living as foundations for a meaningful life. But you probably could have guessed all that.
Brilliant graduation speech. If any young person could really listen and fathom the depth of this speech at a young age, it would truly transform their future.
Exactly, I bet they mostly didn’t.
Brilliant and lackluster are RELATIVE. ;)
Choice at the cross roads!! Indeed!!!
Yep. It took me until I was 27 to realize this reality. And now I'm stuck. I'm working so hard, 12 hour days, 6 to 7 days a week, and I'm surviving paycheck to paycheck.
I’ve started listening to and learning from Jordan since 2018, and this one resonates with me so deeply that I cannot hold my tears back. At 35, I am at another crossroad in my life, even though I’ve got a good family and a promising career. I’ll need to summon up the courage and face myself honestly, draw my future vision, and then move forward in the right direction.
The ending is so impactful, and what a rich and deep meaningful message Jordan has. It made me shed a few tears also.
God bless you Li!
Good luck friend! Prayers for the best!
Me 3!
Jordan is a very highly evolved soul who is trying everything he can to uplift mankind.
The highest spiritual source among us❤
Very true imho - and more attacked than most for it.

I'm not sure why any thinking person would give heed to the imperfect opinions of some ignorant psychology professor. There are a handful of EXTREMELY wise sages currently on this planet who can logically and completely answer practically any question that an intelligent soul is likely to ask regarding morals and ethics.
The fact that Jordan supports men buggering each other (by which I mean, that he supports homosexuality and other criminal activities, such as the unnecessary consumption of poor innocent animals) is MORE than sufficient proof that he is not as religious as he claims, and that any decent, holy person ought to shun his inane teachings and flee into the loving arms of a teacher of Truth.
Furthermore, in a recent interview in Benjamin Shapiro's CZcams channel, he admitted that his wife figuratively (and I'm sure also LITERALLY) wears the pants in his household. 👖
I would be more than pleased to provide you with links to the CZcams channel of a few enlightened beings who will quickly set you on the path to perfection, as opposed to the DELUDED moral subjectivism professed by "Doctor" Peterson (pun not intended).
Please find below a couple of such ENLIGHTENED masters to which I referred above:
Professor Alan Watts
(now deceased, so he doesn't have his own CZcams channel - just search for his videos on numerous channels)
Swami Sarvapriyananda

@@dr.robertfrost1405 Did JP say something intelligent in this video? Faith is a form of courage? Huh? It is good to be good despite the evidence to the contrary? Huh?
Jordan is undoubtedly a great person who got to a place in life where he really wants with all his heart to help people and himself to be better and peaceful! He's an endless source of culture and ideas to make us grow as humans! God bless him!
He is speaking from a place of pain and often thats where beautiful things resonate the most... wonderful speech
For someone to have such articulate and vast wisdom one must’ve gone through immense suffering to realize. This is why I love Jordan. He’s been through the wringer.
The most beautiful things are also painful. Fact.
This guy's wisdom is beyond his years.
Absolutely!
He suffered all a human body and spirit can suffer. And it was not in vain. He gave us hope. That at least some of us has the strength and believe, that we can defeat evil at the end. Is there a more beatifull story in the history of humanity?
It's absolutely amazing... People don't realize this man has lived his whole life bathing in suffering....
You are describing Jesus…
I love this man. He’s so humble and willing to display true emotion to others as he reaches out to help others bring meaningfulness into their lives. May God bless him throughout his life and assist him on his journey. Amen.
The authenticity man ... The passion ... The clarity with which he speaks .... Its admirable.
You didnt disappoint me. THIS is in fact the best speech by Jordan Peterson, and I watch and read him for 4 years now. Thank you
"A beautiful mind" comes to mind. Wise beyond this lifetime. Thank you for sharing with us mere mortals dr. Peterson.
Jordan Peterson is such a blessing to one’s ears.. I promise I am on my way to get my story finished.. this means more to me than anyone else. If the plane lands safely. Say a prayer for me. Thank you for your patience.
My dear husband was an astrophysics. He admired astronauts, f.ex. He did mean, that's life is about learning to handle fear. That's the task Number ONE. The Task Number TWO is, never lose your moral compass. You are never victim. You have allways the choice. And everything else will come to you.
Love that! Smart man, too, your husband. Sounds like he was a blessing.
Jordan is a good man, of good courage, and we are in his debt.
He is an absolute Gem. Thank you, Jordan!
I was at this speech. So many of the "Jordan Peterson's greatest hits" type videos are delivered to people who either hate him or are neutral towards him, but this one was directed at people who desperately wanted to LISTEN and contemplate what he had to say. So incredibly honored that I could be there and appreciate it
A great speech regarding how to best orient yourself so as to live a really good life. A life that also benefits those around you and society as a whole. As Dr Petersen says often, always orient yourself to the highest good.
I love his heart and sensitivity. For those who don’t know that he wants the best for us, you aren’t hearing him. His beliefs, his wisdom is based partly on his clinical experience, what he’s learned from the human experience of countless others.
He has so much he wants to tell you and his intelligence makes it a bit complicated but it is pretty basic advice and i hope the young adults he addressed get what he meant.
I wish i had someone tell me those things. My life has been hard because i did not recognize the damage done from youth. I thought i was untouched by the harm. I am 64 now. Now i see it. Get over your pains as much as you can. It isn’t easy but recognize that most people in your life mean well (except evil people) or do the best they can. Get the lesson that was or is there.
Aim up! Good luck and God bless you all!
Christo -- thank you for posting. I agree with you that I can see it is Dr Peterson's best speech ever.
Thankyou for posting this. This speech really shook me on the deepest level the way I needed to see my life with a fresh and from a wider perspective to actually reorientate myself because I have found clarity, purpose and an aim because I am worth being all I could be from this feeling and gift Dr Peterson is able to energise for one to take hold grasp and receive on such a real way and deep transformative level and to be honest I feel that the gift brought thru here is through the heart. I’m just very thankful and humbled by this. Thankyou I’m very grateful.
Thanks for posting this !!! And thanks to HIllsdale College for inviting him.
Well done for re-presenting this (with much better audio, it should be said). I think many of us felt that, hearing/seeing that speech in it's original upload, it was indeed one of the finest speeches ever. It is a much 'better' listen here and, as you say, thoroughly deserves a much wider attention and recognition than it has enjoyed so far.
Interesting that suffering seems to be the one tool that God so often uses to transform us.
Sad that we seem to need it to shake us out of innate selfishness and narcissism.
I think the Light of God especially in Christ is the one thing that can propel us through the trials and ultimate futility of life.
I cannot comprehend how anyone can function as a being made in His image without bowing to His Glory and infinite love.
The greatest point that Jordan Peterson was trying to put across was not to find any reason to comfort yourself in not doing good or great but rather whatever the situation trying to stand above that situation and do at least some great thing never to let yourself to do less in life as you go out there in society since you are done with school......
He repeatedly stressed that point
Absolutely a great speech . I hope some of those kids could take it in and use it one day . I’m sure they will all remember his passion and sincerity in trying to guide them to think carefully about the person each one is becoming at the very least .
Amazing speech. A literary masterpiece! Either he carefully vetted every word, or he's unbelievably articulate
This man saved and continuously saves my life which consequently now helps me save others.❤
The genuinity of his speech always gets me;❤
From the heart.Thanks.
Literally best speech construct from one of the greatest intellectual souls in this day and and age definitely I'm subscribing
Definitely a great speech.... One of the best... Never fear the Truth... Only the consequences...Hopefully we are on the right side of it... 😇🙏👍
Damn this man is really something special
Jordan Peterson is brilliant.
Thanks for posting. Definitely a peak moment for him.
Thanks for posting
He is so damn smart!!! This was truly an awesome speech, and with so much passion for humankind.
Brilliant! ❤🎉
Jordan tackles the hardest of concepts so eloquently.
I saw Jumanji recently for the first time and it conveys via a fictional story the same concepts very well. You roll the dice and you get what you get and all you can do it do your best.
Undoubtedly
Somewhat similar to how my High School Graduation Speaker started his speech 50 years ago when it comes to crossroads. He referred to them as graduations, which we would all experience several times in our lives. Was he ever right! Jordan’s speech is even better. Rise above despair!
He left it all out there on the field. Astonishing presentation. Without referring to a single note. Remarkable.
He is looking down to his notes to his left.
How does he speak so concisely without notes!?!
He speaks from his heart and does not lie.
its called life experiences of the darkest kind and shining a light on it all with astute awareness being the ultimate reward for constant courage in the thick.of it all. he is rather wonderful.
He was a university lecturer 😊
Thank you so much for doing this, my friend/brother.
I will do as you wholeheartedly advice and click the link to the original upload, but I will leave this comment with thanks for your service to the world by helping me find it in advance, and a like so that others might find your video as well so they might experience the speech.
Take a course at his university
$495 a year
This sounded familiar. When I looked at my suggested videos, I saw that I had indeed watched it on the Hillsdale site. However, if there existed a modern speech worthy of listening to multiple times, this is that speech.
WOW this is soooo thought provoking.
Don’t forget sometimes you face a situation by accident grab it and see where it takes you it’s and] Adventure!
It is really lovely I wish I heard it before! ❤
One of the best speeches l have ever heard
Thank you Sir for sharing. May God bless you and your family. X
That was so hard, but it was worth it! Simply amazing
So refreshing.
I needed to hear this today. Life may not turn out the way you expected it to.
Thank You ♥🌿🌹🌿♥
Great Human!
That was worth hearing and knowing there was such a person who longs for an unfathomable Reality that surely must be there to be had. Indeed, all hidden within one's being and discovered/uncovered by the choices we make, or hidden more deeply there by.
That's a great message.
Love how you worded this comment!
Thank you for doing this
Compassion.
I find it extremely difficult to rate Jordan’s speeches as one being better than another. There is a constant stream of profundity flowing throughout every one of his messages. We are so privileged to have this man in our midst during these end times.
JP's mind goes so fast that he actually outruns himself. His insight into how things work best, or at least better, in every area of life, is amazing.
Loved it. Thanks for reuploading.
Unfortunate audio enhancement cut off the applause, to me that is an invigorating part - the celebration of shared truth and meaning.
Really good speech! It is an enlightening lesson in the art of adult life, for young and old.
just beautiful, many thanks!
100 thousand views are from me 😂 right on brother. I hear ya 👌
The last 8 to 10 minutes of the speech you could see that he's really talking about himself. It goes to show that no matter where you are at in your life there's always something To learn and to work on to improve yourself
He’s starting his own university
$495 per year
1/20th the cost of standard education 😊
he sure doesn't leave you any room for error..
This is brilliant!! Thanks for uploading this man!!!
You're right JP. Of course. The source of "power", I mean the ability of/and finding resorces to solve problems, is a genuin dialog. There is no other way.
thank you
"That was so hard, but it was worth it." And the next time will be a little easier and better.
he is rather wonderful.
A solem humble "Standing O" to the Sage of the West.... perhaps the world.
Incredible ❤
Suffering is not is an excuse for failure or denial of God.
Suffering is painful but part of the reason keep the faith learning from the tough experiences. 22:07
This is awesome, I’d say this and Admiral William H. McRaven’s commencement speech are my favorites.
Mending relationships is definitely good advice. But it takes two willing participants, open mindedness and letting go of resentfulness on both side. If one is not willing to let go, it is a futile endeavor.
When it comes to finding love, most are interested in hook ups and not healthy relationships. If you are not willing to follow the flow, you might be alienated.
Life is extremely complicated at times.
People who has never experienced trauma have a philosophy of life very different than those who had.
It doesn't take two... you can put forth and resolve to 'mend' a relationship, and if the other party is unwilling you have at least shed the burden and left them holding the bag. You're now free of that burden, which has immense value when moving forward.
The passion and truthfulness in this man. Yet people bitterly oppose him, students who regard themselves to be the cream of society riot on campuses to shut him up. Why? What is wrong with what he says?
And just because they abandoned their first attempt at Babel, does not mean we gave up trying. Check this idea that we can and should control the climate. Really?
Faith? When I get into an aeroplane , I do so with faith in the pilots and the engineers who built the thing. That is not irrational faith in the unprovable is it?
Jordon is truth! He is honesty. And he is sincere and empathetic to the human condition. To me, he is a True man of God, in the highest sense of the word. And is that not what our way shower was all about 2000 years ago…..
Divinity is not place yearning money ❤
I'm a simple man.
When a mf gives us Jordan Peterson, I Sub.
F-ing awesome!!
I love Denzel Washington's commencement speeches.
Thank you for putting us on this speech. But please change the title, its „undoubtedly“ with an E and not A
Was not aware of this spch. Have taken some free HD College online courses. Searched for his spch on HD site. Not easy to find. HD shd make it easier. Perhaps they don't realize how profound & inspiring JP's msg is.
I'm with you on the value of this particular spch/msg. Plan to view it again; so more can sink in.
I saw JP on tour this yr in Grnd Rapids. Very nearly filled the arena.
Many thanks for bringing this to my attention. 🤔🤔🙂
I don't know if it's just me, but he sounds so different in this video compared to all other videos of watched or listend to, of him speaking
It’s insane. This is all AI. Listen carefully and you can hear it. It’s absolutely nuts.
💚💚💚💚💚💚
Were I one of those kids in the crowd, how much of that deep content I could’ve understood? I wonder.
Whats up with the 2 haters behind Jordan? One has to make a point of not getting up the other, not applauding.
cross road, X the crooked cross, which way is God's Path, follow and bring some others along. 74.11 months and still a student.
Brilliant
whats with the audio, why this robot voice, almost impossible to listen :c (original sounds fine)
I'm not religious or spiritual at all and have trouble using Jordan's words in an ecclesiastical sense, at least as well as others... seems to take a lot of, idk, faith... a thing to which I cannot give much, logically... my brain wiring will not allow it and that's all I know...
But! I'm a big fan of his logic when it comes to civil issues and social/public issues in relation to government, and his broader message of logic in a non religious sense.
I've read the bible, studied both testaments, and the broader meaning of faith and what it meant in the specific written time periods, and I've read most popular writings and listened to lectures pertaining to religion, and I can safely say I understand the purpose to be a teaching of life through lessons as if under ultimate judgement. If you take all of it 100% seriously, you're crazy. We all know those folks! But if you ignore all of it 100% of the time, you're immoral, and crazy! So, for religion, I'll just say, to take a quote from Mr. Peterson, "the reasons don't justify the conclusions," for me, until they do! I'm still a proud J.B.P. follower and supporter! 👍 👍
Well, that sun will rise tomorrow and well all will have another day. There is no black oblivion after death. There is no yesterday or tomorrow, only this eternal fleeting moment. So, with that in mind, maybe we can all try to make it as happy and joyous as we can. Gods will is for all sentient beings to be in heaven, we were not put here by an angry czar of the heavens to suffer, but by a loving forgiving God who would die for our sins.
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."
I do not consider that to be an abstract concept to be pondered by the intellectual mind. But a simple statement of reality. Like saying the sky is blue and the grass is green. I have a dream of what kind of life I want to live that would make me happy. And they will have to kill me before I will give up the pursuit of happiness. As it is one of my certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. And those rights were not given to me by any man, government, school, ideology, or culture. They were given to me by my creator.
Beautiful speech. I just have a question why he sound different? I don't recognize his voice.
I’ve listened to him for years ; it is truly him 😊
Thanks for cleaning up the audio - what did you use to fix it?
Is somthing being done with his voice?
Enhanced audio, probably with some ai tool.
Definitely altered by ai
No such word as undoubtably
Incredible speech, but it’s honestly not even Peterson’s best stuff. His lecture series on Genesis lays out the psychological significance of the biblical narrative and it is laced with deep and profound insights throughout. For that lecture series alone, in my mind, he should go down as one of the most important intellectual figures of the 21st century.
Small assist: The word is spelled and pronounced, “undoubtedly.”
Who thought he’s voice changed
It means the same in Arabic “Al Khatee’ah”
