    Jon I want to let you know, ever since you interviewed Paul Gottfried and started talking about paleoconservativism, your CZcams channel has become a lot more engaging.
    I first started watching your channel because of social justice in the church 3 years ago but all your other content seemed aimless or unfocused. So I would barely watch your videos, but now I eagerly watch every video you post now. Keep up the good work👍

      Ever since I started watching Jon's platform, subscribed to earlier this year, I have got to catch up. The social justice movement caught my attention as well and it all started with the attendance of a previous church that used quotes and promoted books by the late Timothy Keller. I still get a few red flags in the church that I attend presently. A really sound church seems to be the minority these days.

      @@cat-bg3rvI have the same problem brother. I left my progressive mainline Protestant church I grew up in 7 years ago, and finally started going back to church this spring. It’s a large confessional Nondenominational Baptist church. They are theologically sound and orthodox, but they recommend too many big eva books and seem to be very wishy washy on how to approach the problems of our country.

    I agree with CH's point that the enlightenment (as it formed on the ground) was a 'tower of babel' 2.0, 3.0, etc, which led to Hagel, post modernism, and the like. In a sense, enlightenment is a misnomer and a precursor to 'woke'. You could take some of the orginal God-centered western values that also led to the scientific revolution [so called] which presumed God's character as the start of what came next. Then enlightenment took those scietinfic revolution axioms (God could have made the physical laws immutable like he is; and man was created with faculty of reason to observe said laws), and kicked out the prime mover and made man the god and reason as assumed reality.

    Discrimination of various kinds are the way we make informed decisions every day, so I agree, there is nothing inherently wrong with discriminating. It doesn't meant we have to degrade or brutally harm others related to it. You can still be open to 'other' things. But we also shouldn't be pathologically altruistic in decision making or just f-ing stupid. Decide what you like based on intelligent reasoning and don't be ashamed of it. Then act on that principle.
    If we could meld Foundationalism with NeoNationalism and Vedanta, we might achieve a tempered and winning combination. Haywood would also have an army, some of them very well trained and well armed. That moment of instability and chaos is coming soon when the niche for a new government to arise will present itself. May Zog fall.

    I thought it was interesting that CH said that enlightenment thinking led to a demand for complete equality ( or something like that). I can see the truth in this. However, when you step back and look at the Bible and what it has to say, it is obvious that it stresses that all men are equal before the law and every person has equal value. It seems like America reflects this Biblical truth in a way that a lot of hierarchical government structures don't. Also, God didn't want Israel to have a king and raised up judges (who didn't seem to have the same exalted worldly position as kings) When I reflect on the blessing that God gives to pursue happiness and have liberty, I am extremely thankful for the American founding.

    • @ShopRat-cf9tr
      @ShopRat-cf9tr Před 9 měsíci +6

      I would critique your analysis by saying that what the Bible says about equality is different then how it is defined by enlightenment liberalism. The Bible says we are equal before God, but we are not the same before God. God made us male and female with different roles and responsibilities according to our gender. He also created us with different gifts and talents, and uses some of us for common purposes and others more extraordinarily. Liberalism has turned that on itself. Instead of using our differences to glorify God by using them in His service, we now use them to indulge in selfish individuality, or take our perceived inadequacies and use them as evidence of injustice.

    • @johnp7739
      @johnp7739 Před 9 měsíci +5

      I'm not EO but an EO service is much less feminine than most Protestant services. Even the PCA and SBC services I've been to over the last 20 years are usually full of breathy, feminine music with men waving their hands and bodies around like young girls at a pop concert.

    • @bchrspctr
      @bchrspctr Před 9 měsíci

      @@johnp7739 if you don’t know the theology, sure. EO is defined by holding council consensus equal to but more often higher than Scripture. So, by what standard does their service have “more of Christ?” It’s not Scripture. Both these things make it very feminized. Many PCA and SBC services are now indeed liberal and no longer following Scripture either.

      @@johnp7739 while i'm not a fan of much of the breathy music style, and definitely have my qualms w PCA and SBC, i think it's really shameful and dangerous to judge people based on their worship of God. Michal was barren her whole life because she despised David's naked dance.

    • @johnp7739
      @johnp7739 Před 9 měsíci +2

      @@CopeSeetheEtc1 Where do you draw the line then? Twerking? Mosh pits? That's the problem with moral relativism. We have many great hymns and Psalms and 2,000 years of church history. There's no reason a "solid confessional" church should be singing 3-chord pop/folk songs with choruses that are vainly repetitive (something the Bible forbids). Look up "Gracefully Graces Me" (a parody, but I've heard stuff almost that bad) and explain why people are singing that instead of "Immortal Invisible God Only Wise."
      I hardly see how David's dance (right or wrong) is relevant to this topic.

    • @CopeSeetheEtc1
      @CopeSeetheEtc1 Před 9 měsíci

      You don't see how someone judging someone for dancing naked publically before God is relevant to you judging someone's song of worship for having too many chorus repititions?
      (in fact -- many Psalms and old-school hymns you reference repeat things over and over.)
      I'm not a fan of the weak, watered-down theology of most of today's worship songs and I'm not saying they'd be my choice either. But I am not going to judge someone for waving their hands in worship just because I think that might be "inappropriate". Focus on your own heart before God instead of worrying whether someone around you is raising their hands or dancing naked. @@johnp7739

    " ... there is a recognition that the right has failed and we need a new rallying point ...", said Jon Harris, speaking of Christian Nationalism and all these approaches like Foundationalism.
    So, .... do you believe the US Constitution needs to be replaced?
    Would you be happy living under CH's foundational manifesto? If not, why not?
    How do you propose to correct and reform without violating man's right to life, liberty and property? Or, do you propose a system without these rights except when the authoritarian government grants them for good behavior?
    Do you believe our nation can be "fixed" using a top down model? Or, do you believe that true reform can only be realized by a work of God's Holy Spirit in the hearts of men?
