Just curious, are Madrasis considered inferior in south india? As you don't want to associate yourself with them. As a North Indian, honestly, I don't have much idea about socio-economic structure of south. And I have seen several videos where people are getting offered being called madrasi like it is some deogratory remark.
@@gagansingla11 madras or Chennai(now days) is a state in thamil nadu and malayalees are those people from kerala so we don't want to represented by the term madrasi you could use malayali instead
@@gagansingla11 imagine you're from Rajasthan and south Indians call you Punjabi, or the other way round. it's a different state. Madrasis(nobody really uses this name name btw) are from Tamil Nadu while malayalis are from Kerala

I will not feel offended at all if someone called me Rajasthani or haryanavi ( I m Punjabi btw) beacuse we all look alike and people from other regions just can't differentiate and it's OK. My point was, the person from Kerala in first comment said that s(he) will just not tolerate it at any cost if someone mistaken him/her by being Tamil. Like What's big deal if someone called you Tamil!
