- When the Music’s Over, the City's Cry
In the shadowed streets where Gotham groans,
Concrete whispers, steel bones moan.
Decay in the night, a metropolis in plight,
Where dreams flicker in the broken light.
The Times Square lights, once pure, now stained,
With theaters of lust, where innocence waned.
But listen close, beyond the sordid screen,
The echoes of rock, a rebellious dream.
Fillmore East, a temple to sound,
Where the lost and the found gather 'round.
Bill’s magic touch, weaving harmony and chaos,
In the heart of the city’s dark pathos.
Jimi's guitar, a wild lament,
Notes of freedom, broken, bent.
Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young,
Voices rising, a song unsung.
The Allman Brothers, a southern breeze,
In the city's concrete seas.
Hendrix’s fire, Morrison’s cry,
In the heart of darkness, reaching for the sky.
Bill, the dreamer, saw the light dim,
The peace he yearned for slipping, slim.
Producer’s guilt, a heavy chain,
In the city’s madness, he felt the strain.
Subways rattle, serpents of steel,
Beneath the city’s crumbling keel.
Perils lurking in every bend,
As the music fades, nearing the end.
When the music’s over, turn out the lights,
In the city's heart, a silent fight.
Hope and despair, a tangled dance,
In the chaos, a fleeting chance.
Yet in the grime, a flower grows,
From the seeds of peace, a wind that blows.
Hippie hearts and dreams of love,
In the darkest night, stars above.
Gotham’s tale, Airbaja sighs,
In the end, we laugh, we cry.
When the music’s over, we'll still strive,
In the city's pulse, we are alive. - Hudba
Best segment on the Fillmore East I have seen. BG was a great man.
Miss you Bill, rock died a slow death without you around! RIP
Another great video. Met Bill onetime at a concert in 1986. A Marty Balin show. He helped us find some acid. :)
❤❤❤
Another GREAT release from Airbaja that includes shots of Charles Bronson and many others.....
Thank You again...
Kool Maan, diggin the vibe!
I personally dubb the movie staring Val Kilmer as Jim Morrison: "Oliver Stone's Practical Joke."
Airbaja is like a utube version of Mr Graham. Promoting Americas greatest band ever with a reverence and due respect.
Bill seems like a class act just like the man who runs this greatest channel.
x.
Gosh, thanks SS, high praise indeed!

Airbaja, outstanding job with your video.
FROM ME TO YOU, DEEP THANKS!
LOL they made a Doors Movie without the Real Doors Music - WTF ?
The movie followed No one Here gets Alive instead of John’s book or other sources
...and that book "No One..." is an absolute bore.
The Doors movie was a HUGE disappointment. My hope is that someone else will come along, make another movie, and do it right. It is amazing that no one has undertaken another project since that movie was made nearly 33 years ago.
dEAD ON mAAN!
Script was a comic book adaptation. Deserved a stronger script.
Just wondering... Non-chronological script, in B&W, directed by Tarantino/Wenders collaboration.
When I was 20 and I saw it in the theater, I liked it. Now that I’m 50 in retrospect, it sucks moose balls.
Antlers in the tree tops, by Who Goosed the Moose!
Great exciting movie, only snowflakes hate it
Good stuff. A couple of photos of Morrison in NYC I haven't seen before. Coogna's Bluff is so good.
The doors movie was absolutely awful
But the parody in Wayne's World was hysterical!
Actually, are we really surprised that The Doors movie came out as a bad caricature?
Oliver Stone? Please... He never, ever, had a clue.
Absolutely wrong director with a mediocre script.
Win Wenders could have been an interesting choice...
