The country is going crazy with the mammoth blockbuster Kantara and the actor-director Rishab Shetty joins Bollywood Bubble host Nayandeep Rakshit for an interesting chat. In this candid conversation, Rishab looks back at his entire journey - how he started and broke the news to his family to becoming a more recognised face today. He also shares doing odd mineal jobs like selling mineral water and tea powder to being a driver and a spotboy on set to finally get a chance to be in films, albeit as an Assistant. While the actor lost hopes of being a lead hero, Kantara's success has proved his own beliefs wrong and now, it won't be wrong to say that India wants to see more of him. As a Tamilian I am freaking proud of Rishab and his commitment to his people
We are proud of our language Kannada and Karnataka. But we speak 5 languages easily, you can pick any Kannadiga, that makes Kannadigas unique where biggest actors from Telugu Industry when they come to Bengaluru or Karnataka for promotion they speak in Telugu and even Tamil actors, but Kannada actors speak Tamil when in TN, Telugu when they are in Andhra & Telangana and even Malayalam. See the biggest stars Yash, Rishab etc and even Dr Rajkumar also used to speak fluent Tamil.

I saw this film. Near the end of the movie, my hands just automatically joined in namaskar and prayer. It was my ancestral Hindu roots that were bubbling out from within me. Fantastic movie experience. 🙏 South does not make anti Hindu movies, unlike Bollywood that always makes anti Hindu movies. Boycott Bollywood

Every person in that village attends, even if the person may be working in far away places in high posts of IAS or court judges etc does not matter. They have to appear before Devta or Devi. And no employer etc dare object to give leave to the person who asks for leave to attend his village Devta or Devi. All days of village Devta or Devi are usually different. Utmost respect to village Devta or Devi. Sometimes, extremely important community village decision is made by Devta or Devi, which has to be obeyed by all. It mostly is concerning trees, water distribution, local hill path repair etc for community village well being. 🙏

Rishabh shetty in one of his interview rightly said "you need a person who believe in roots of our culture, traditions and origin to do film like this" He indirectly pointed that there is no one like that in Bollywood.
I also completely agree with him, just take an example in Adipurush teaser, Saif Ali khan playing the role of Ravan, completely misleading people by portraying him wrongly.

Being in the middle of Bollywood, the Bandra-Versova area. My advice, Rishabh or anybody from Kannada are much better off experimenting in Kannada than anywhere. Bollywood is just rehashing, you should've understood long ago when they started remixing 80s and 90s songs. They can't seem to come up with decent lyrics, where will they find stories?
Just look at the variety of films kannadigas have given commercial support/success in the last few years and in 2022. They are not just supporting one kind of films, there is a decent size market for every genre.
Also, one thing you may notice in 2022 Kannada movies is that Heros/ Heroins haven't been singing and dancing much, nor there are choreographed group dances.. except one in Vikrant Rona, which I feel was forced addition.
