- I've been wanting a Com-Pac 23 ever since I sold my Com-Pac 16. I just love these simple, stout boats. I found this boat and truly felt sorry for her. The previous owner got up in years and could no longer show the love. See my very first days of ownership.
Securing a slip, moving the engineless boat
to the new marina and coming up with a big plan
of attack to get this boat fully operational. Quick! Spring is around the corner.

I am a new subscriber. I have a 1984 CP 23 named seaglass. I'm a woman and more experienced in the kitchen. These videos give me confidence. I jumped into the motor mount backer board. In that video you said.." it's about getting to know every inch of your boat."

I just bought a 1982 Com Pac 23', it needs work! I got home and figured, in this day and age, somebody has done this work so I searched and found you. I have only just started watching Day One but I am going to go through all of the vids before I start so I can learn from your experience. BTW, the first vid I landed on was the second one, I watched about 5 minutes before I realized it wasn't the first in the series but it looked like you had taken the pictures from inside my boat!
I hope you enjoy your boat as I mine. I've been putting miles on it this summer trying to figure out my game plan. I'll work on it all this coming winter, like I did last winter, adding navigation aids and creature comforts. Thanks for checking it out.
@@smallsailboatbigwater3959 Need ALL of the interior upholstery/cushions. I am going to have to look around, maybe have those fabricated from scratch. Thank you for your videos, great help in planning out my renovation strategy!
I think with some good templates a decent car or boat upholstery person could do it, no problem. But check with Com-Pac Yachts first. I've bought stuff off their parts list in the past. They were helpful and fast.
Damn Cuz! You made me feel like it was my first time coming through Seabrook. Still can't get over how we lost contact with each other for about 25 years and ended up in the same place.
No kidding genetics led us to the same spot. Crazy. I just met up with my cousin Marc and I found out we bought the same model car. Crazy. Sailing this weekend!

Just took delivery on my first Com-Pac, a 23 Pilothouse. It's named "Late Start" and will be sailed out of Mexico Beach, FL, and Henderson Harbor, NY. Hutchins Yacht's is a GREAT company to work with. Hope to offer more here in the future.
Oh Man! The Pilothouse?!!! That's truly my dream boat. Love the name too. I'll be completed re-doing my old girl. It goes in for and bottom job and topside paint at the first of the year. Congrats on the new boat!

Am currently planning to launch and Christen her around April 1 and sail her here in Mexico Beach for a month before heading north to the northeastern end of Lake Ontario. The boat is truly well thought out, and the Com-Pac company and staff are the best one could expect. The quality of the design and workmanship is evident to all who know sailing. I will be naming the diesel after my Mom, "Melva", who as a youth wanted me to sail. I then told her "why would I want to sail, all my friends have powerboats". Finally, I saw the light. Stay tuned... will post as we collect memories.
