The #ChevroletSuburban is the longest running nameplate in America, with its lineage tracing back to 1935. Over the last 11 generation, the #Suburban has been the go-to family SUV for folks looking for the ultimate in capability, comfort, and space. For 2021, the #SuburbanDiesel is the next step in this model's evolution with a new 3.0L #Duramax inline-6 offering up to 277 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque. It also means the new #SuburbanDuramax will achieve an EPA rating of up to 21/27 MPG with 2WD and a still impressive 20/26 MPG with 4WD. Offering a cruising range of more than 650 miles, this new #Diesel powered #ChevySuburban may be the perfect long--distance hauler for many American families.

Happy Friday everyone! Chevrolet announced final fuel economy figures of the Suburban Diesel already. The Suburban 2WD Duramax is rated to get 21/27 MPG, while the 4WD version will get 20/2 MPG. That easily beats the Ford Expedition MAX with its EcoBoost V6 engine by 5 MPG combined, making the Duramax version the most fuel-efficient supersized SUV you can buy. We easily saw 23-25 MPG in our testing and were able to confirm 650 miles of cruising range on a full tank.

I watched this video after ordering my 2021 and quickly called the dealer to upgrade to the diesel. Well worth the cost at that time. I get over 750 Miles per tank on the highway and about 600 miles of city driving. My family enjoys our road trips in this vehicle. Almost 3 years of ownership and very happy with my purchase.

I think the old style Suburban was pretty low slung...the lowest ground clearance in the segment back in the day....which made for a great safety feature in addition to being much much much better for ingress and egress compared to the competition. That might be moot with the new suspension plus the air ride option. This length of a wheelbase makes for a better ride than a Limosine which is pretty amazing for what is i agree considered "a Family ride." Great review.

Sofran looks like a cute Umpa Lumpa in that giant monolith. ha. I heard that the F-150 hybrid has a 700 mile safe range? Insane. I'm sure it will carry over to the Expedition. If I was in the market, I would just wait for some kind of electrification.

$73K GM Gives Deep Discounts. You can expect to knock off $12K after new model is introduced. I wouldn’t be surprised to see these sold for under $60K loaded by summer.

In a normal world yes but with the chip shortage and people waiting for cars no one is discounting anything right now at least in certain parts of the country. But otherwise he would be right and everyone in the comments would still complain anyway. Here’s the bottom line the domestic manufacturers are no longer selling price they are now selling product. End of story. There is no you can get a Chevy for less than a Toyota ads anymore. If you don’t think it’s worth it then don’t buy it but I have a very sneaky. Suspicion that Chevy isn’t going to be able to keep these things on the lot no matter what price they are asking. This thing is big as a house you’re not going to get all that sheet metal for $45,000 with any meaningful features in it. Go spend $170,000 to get a Mercedes-Benz on your grill

You really can’t go wrong with a 3.0L inline 6 diesel. They can also easily be tuned for increased fuel economy and with regular maintenance should easily last 500k miles before a rebuild is needed.

The Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL, and the Cadillac Escalade account for 50% of all large SUV sales in the US. GM makes 340,000 of them every year and exports about 80,000 to 31 countries. They’re made in GM’s plant in Arlington, Texas, which is said to be the most profitable assembly plant in the world. We estimate they generate $20 billion in revenue for GM and about $4 billion in profits. Autoline Daily.
