Harbor Freight Tools A love affair

- Harbor Freight Tools used to be a joke as far as quality goes. They have really come a long way. Many Chinese factories have discovered what "quality control" is and most are ISO 9002 certified. You can find these same tools branded under big box store names as well as Craftsman and Black and Decker. If you don't have a store in your area, come along and see what they look like.
You hit the nail on the head when you said "many other companies rebadge these tools, like Craftsman, etc." My loyalty to the "American" brands ended when I looked on the boxes and saw "Made in China" written on them. If it's going to come from the same factory in China, why pay three times as much for an "American" company that is now just a bunch of marketers and executives? Show me "Made in the USA" and I will buy it. Otherwise, I'm off to HF.
Rick Rose Absolutely agree!!!
+Rick Rose Wrong. What's important is HOW it's made, not WHERE it's made.
+Rick Rose Agree 100%. I go to HFT for most things. Especially if I'm only going to use it once or twice.
Reminds me of fireworks from different brands being made in the same city in China.......sometimes even the same factory and people argue over which is "better"
juanjacobo86 and the ones that they were maki ng overseas they brought back to usa
I love this store, my wife not so much, but it's great taking her there and i'll spend an hour going thru the store. sweet revenge.
Tom will is it the smell she doesn't like? my wife hates the smell
Yup mine to I have the urge to look thru it all
I have never left harbor freight without at least 3 things. i am amazed with how much stuff i can get with only $20 or $30. Its like a toys r us for adults! except im a teenager.
+JNFmx i also love harbor freight also if you join harbor freight's inside track club you can get even more coupons and discounts also inside club track club members get access to the harbor freight parking lot sales before the general public
Very nice job Steve. Absolutely the best walk around a store I've ever watched. Your commentary an added bonus. Thanks for sharing your talent and video, Rodney
My favorite toy store! I love walking around in HF, it's great stress relief. LoL The quality of their hand tools have really improved over the years. Also, even some of their power tools are good. I have a couple of 4-1/2" angle grinders, the red ones (I keep a cutting disc on one, and a grinding disc on another).
You are correct. If one doesn't like the quality, give it a week or two. They are really coming up in quality as of late.
Agree. I like to just walk around. Here in Pittsburgh PA, you can find HF everywhere. I'm lucky my wife likes to browse the store with me. She's great to hunt for the free items!! Great video @Xplorer Steve DIY
It's an playground for adults lol.
I never walk in and walk out in less than 5 minutes like I plan and end up with more items than I needed.
It's a great place.
John C I know, right?
f#ck Disneyland, im going to HARBOR FREIGHT!
+Luis Rodriguez You go now!
I'm telling you, it's like a toy store for men. You will come out with something
They aught to have Harbor Freights at all big malls. A Harbor Freight and a sports store and maybe a sports bar. Maybe when we drop our men off there while we shop, we can get a claim check for them. Then we can turn the check in when we come back to get them.
Jean on the Road This could work......haha.
LOLOL. And the best thing is that you can give them $25 and they can shop all day!
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Love the channel Steve. Cosmo has me laughing too.
Good job. I was excited about bolts in ace hardware yesterday... lol As I was heading to cash register, grinning, I told some random guy, " I love hardware stores."
Day Drifter I like Ace hardware. The one near my home closed recently. Nothing but big box stores now.
Thank you for taking this video and uploading it. I too have a long history with good and bad tools and have really noticed that HFT listens and reads their comments and reviews. They make changes on a regular basis and though they still have some junkers, much of their product is now a very good value, for home owner and light commercial use.
With most of their power tools, if the purchaser will take the time and run the tool without load for several minutes to seat the brushes to the com, the tools have a much better life span. IMO.
+IRDeezlSmoke I agree with all you said. Thanks for the tips on the power tools. Thanks for watching.
I cannot go to HF without buying several things each trip, I always see something that I need or think I need anyway. Glad to see you a dedicated HF man as well. Keep up the good work and will be looking for you next video, thanks for taking us along as always.
I'm running out of things to buy at Harbor Freight. i could probably open my own Harbor Freight store.
Once upon a time I had a complete set of Craftsman tools, and a couple Snap-On pieces. When they were all stolen in 1982 they were worth around $2,500 (Triple that in current dollars.) and I have never replaced them... not completely, anyway. For the most part I just pick up tools as needed and move on to the next project. So I have a hodge podge... but then I discovered Harbor Freight a few years ago. Wow! For less than it would cost to buy ONE Craftsman wrench I can buy a complete set... in standard and metric. I love that place!... and my 75-cent wrench takes nuts off just like a $15 wrench.
+Because I said so!!! Yep, I agree. HF has chrome-vanadium tools nowadays. Maybe 20 0r more years ago, their stuff was bad. Not anymore. They have learned a lot from the US tool manufacturers going over there to have tools made. They seemed to have picked up on quality control in manufacturing and tempering quality steel.
I just had one open a couple miles away from my house. Went in for the first time today. Man I was pleasantly surprised! Awesome tool store!!!
I've bought HF tools for single jobs (concrete mixer comes to mind), done the job, sold the tool on Craigslist for half price, and still come out way ahead of renting the tool.
Hey Steve, awesome video! I didn't know HF was so comprehensive. Love the tools.
So far, I love this channel!
Project Pete Thanks for the comments.
Wow, it's the first time I see you really relaxed and smiling in front of the camera...
Harbor Freight has really stepped up in the quality of their tools. I purchased a tile saw and was very happy with it. Safe travels!
Willows Garden I agree, We've had one in Vegas for as long as I can remember. Their stuff used to be garbage. The only thing I don't like there these days are the electric motors. I've had bad luck with those.
I was a member of NYPD's Rescue unit and I stocked my tool box with tools from Harbor Freight, never had a problem.
Bob Last Now more than ever, they've come up in quality.
great report friend we wait more
Great video and good points well made.
I always take a shopping list in any store, but with HFT I get what's on the list and then some.
When I work on my cars for my channel, this is the only time I would consider using their tools, but I only go for the Pittsburgh PRO line, not just the regular Pittburgh line.
Winston Buzon The pro line is pretty good. I agree.
great video!! I wish we had a HF in our area. Closest on to us is 42 miles
42 miles is doable if you plan ahead, bring your coupons and go on a sale weekend.
did anyone else notice that the colour of the pad changed, looked like some of the metal tool was migrated onto the pad, i wonder if that will cause scratches or ghosting if you then use that on your paint.
Hand tools are okay, clamps too, but watch out for the F-Clamps with a shiny painted bar. The F-Clamps with the dull finished bar are fine. The bandsaw blades don't stay sharp for very long. Power tools are getting better. Disposables like nitrile gloves, chip brushes, and so on are terrific.
Either say a item number or your warning is a lil useless
+John Treble I love the 9mm thick nitrile gloves. Super thick, really great protection (much better than the thin blue gloves, I find they make the 9mm thick ones in black only). I've done 5 hour projects on my car before without ripping the same pair of gloves once.
I love this store
I use their resperators for body work and I'm amazed at how much it traps in the filters
+Donovan Robins I have had a few bad comments on the respirators but hey, they're NIOSH rated. so......
Cool video...I felt like I was on a field trip!
+cadencorin1 Love Harbor Freight.
So noted: the bar clamps to look closely at are 62239, 96214, 96211, and 96213 (6", 12", 18" and 24" respectively). When you look online, you will see the older ones, where the bar is a dull finish, and those are good. When you go to the store, you will find many of the bar clamps have shiny black bars. Those clamps are not as good. Here is a good CZcams review that I found discussing the difference. czcams.com/video/S02N7dSMTQA/video.html
Harbor freight is the best!!!!! I'm so happy they moved into my area. If it wasn't for harbor freight, I wouldn't be able to do half of what I can and wouldn't own half the tools I own. Great video!!!
Love2boat92 It is a dangerous place for both of us then. I always leave with much more than planned.
Xplorer Steve hahaha. Done that many times before.
So many tools here!
We major in laser distance tools
I love harbor freight and their lifetime warranty on most Pittsburgh hand tools.im gonna go later and pick up a 1/2 Pittsburgh pro breaker bar,you know the one with the comfort grip handle 25 inches in overall length.i gotta coupon for $14.99 and may pick up some other stuff too. Thanks for the video 😎
Wow! Ur store is way bigger than the one I go to!
I want to buff My car I'm disable And the doctor's have told me that I am stage 3 with copd and emphysema would It be OK to buy there buffer For My car would It be safe to us one of there buffer's or not please let me know thanks
Not every item is a winner, but that is true with all tool vendors. The percentages are getting better at the freight while other places are getting worse. And are still more expensive. Best I can tell the only things still made in USA are pillows and automobile floormats!
they're not a stellar as you think. They're more on the bulky side. but they do work.
I recently purchased a polisher. after getting it home. I had to return back to store, and buy ear plugs to use it.
I bought a battery charger 2/10/50 amp from the nearest Harbor Freight which was over an hour away.. It worked about 4 times and then it just quit working. It took me a couple months to get back down to the city to exchange it and of course I didn't have my receipt but they always ask your address when you buy stuff so I figured they could look me up no problem........ But nope the guy said they had no record of me on the computer and they couldn't do anything to help. : ( so I came home disappointed the next day I got kind of mad and went on their Facebook page and threw a fit I received a message from someone at Facebook within a few hours asking for my phone number and then I got a call from a manager of the local store they sent me a $50 gift card the cost of the battery charger and apologized for the hassle ; ) of course I didn't buy another battery charger I did buy one of their air compressors though and so far I'm happy with it I'd say 80 percent of their products are pretty good it's just that other 20 percent you've got to watch out for...... If you look at their items on your phone you can see which ones have a good ratings and which one have bad ratings I should have done that with the battery charger I would have seen that it had 500 ratings at 1 star but if you're in doubt about something you're going to buy there Use it as soon as you can after you buy it there so if it has a failure you can take it back within the warranty period
Dogs Cats an R.V. & Me Thanks for the feedback and tips.
I love HF. Its getting Chinese price but here in USA. All the tools are now made in either China or Taiwan. Its all about quality control anyway.
Just look on Amazon site, you'll see the same tools sold that look exactly alike but with a different brand name.
+Manila Kid This is true. Even MAC tools has some rebranded specialty tools.
ISO 9002 has no bearing on the quality of the product. All it does is ensure that the delivery system is the same for everybody. We do not have harbour freight here in the UK but we have similar type shops, B&Q, Charlies, Halfords, Tool Station. For those starting out or maybe even for those who do not use their tools every day many of these home brands are perfectly suited to the job. If you are a mechanic or pro carpenter than I can understand spending £££ on a tool or set of tools. however When I changed the valves out in my old 4x4 Maveric the £30 valve spring compressor worked perfectly fine. It has been used a total of five times in the last ten years so it has easily made its money back. Now if i was doing it every day I am sure it would have twisted and been thrown out. The same can be said for my £1.99 B&Q claw hammer it is still serving me well after almost 15 years. For most home owners who do their own DIY or work on their own cars you don't need snapon quality tools. If you can afford them then sure get them they will last you the whole of your life, however getting them because you have been told they are the best and everything else is useless and then never using them is a bit silly. In a way I wish we did have Harbour Freight
+Jamie Rollinson I agree with your comments on tool quality and the right of the individual to choose based on use and price. Well said.
+Jamie Rollinson You have explained very nicely the factors that need to be taken into account while buying tools. As you have rightly mentioned, if the tool is going to be used 5 or 6 times in a year, it doesn't make much sense to buy a tool that will do exactly the same job but its price is 10 times that of the cheaper tool. Quite often, the 10x price is a combination of the brand name, quality of the material used and how long it is likely to last.
Oh man, I am like a kid in a candy store when I go to Harbor Freight :D My only complaint with them is that they do not have gloves small enough to fit my hands. Love Harbor Freight!
Gypsy Free Wow. If they don't have gloves that small, where do you get them?
Cal-Ranch had kids-size, automotive type gloves that fit me. I also found kids-size 'all-purpose' gloves at Home Depot. Yeah, my hands are that small lol.
I go to harbor Freight often. Most of their products are imported, but anymore I find that true almost anywhere you buy tools. Even most "Craftsman" tools are imports now.
This is true and a lot of the butt hurt do not know this.
I'm headed there today ! I need a new HVLP Spray Gun System. The one I have runs off my air compressor and uses a lot of air. The tank runs out and you have to stop and wait for the tank to fill up before resuming spraying. They have the same unit that Rockler Hardware offers but at Harbor Freight it's about $20-30 cheaper. Same unit. This unit has it's own turbine so nor lag time. I just finished making a bookcase for my daughter who is graduating from college in a few weeks so I've got to hustle to get some poly on it. Love your channel Steve....
Peter Guerin My dad has one of those HVLP units and says it works well.
a lot of items I bought have either broken or don't work. fortunately for us they haven't come up with a plastic socket yet.
I find their hand tools to be stellar. Not the old stuff.
I wish we had a store like this in the UK
+James'sWorld I guess mail order would be too expensive? They must have something like it. Don't they?
+Xplorer Steve we do have a couple tool stores, but nothing with the vast variety and low prices that you have, and they are few and far between, probably 1 in a 50 mile radius
Your H F looks like a ghost town mine is always packed with people
I try to film when people are not in the area.
Did you record this when the store was closed? The ones in my area are *always* packed with people.
+Pro1er Retired and go there in odd hours ei- When everyone else is working. Ha.
I'd love to have a store like this with those prices here in Canada , I have to go online . Thanks for sharing !
Bruno Roy Luckily, one just opened close to home here.
Bruno Roy Someone said Princess Auto is a Harbor Freight-like store in Canada. Have you heard of/been there?
Xplorer Steve Yes , I heard about , but they seem to be only in the English section of Canada , the nearest store for me is 278 miles from here.
I love going to HFT to get odds and end tools and equipment. Some of the things from there are actually excellent from there especially for the price. an example would be there torque wrenches. They are a fragment of the price of a professional wrench, but they can be calibrated at home and become just as accurate.
Another point: I can never walk out of that store with only what I went in for because the prices are so damn good.
Wow!!! That's a nice harbor freight building .. Mine I go to is ghetto af lol nice vid
+Zach Green Oh, the original Vegas location is ghetto as they come.
Good stuff...was there twice today..{multimeter and battery charger}
I'm jealous. Don't ask why, I just am.
I understand....
How I love harbor freight...I spend so much money at that store...
+Courage The .Cowardly Dog It's a struggle.
Lol, just went last week and bought the dual action buffer and well a few other things:) Be well, John
Runs With Knives Leather & Outdoors I have heard good things about those in the Auto Detail Forums I've checked out. Good for home use. Hey, they'll do the job and I think they are under $50? My Porter Cable set me back over three times that.
I bought a 1996 Volvo 850 this past fall and for a 20 year car putting a little into it maintenance wise, I think I'll be able to get a few more years out of it and only have 2k into it. The buffer worked fine for buffing it all out, so I guess I can't complain.
I have a few decent hammers, but that being said a decent hammer is only $20-30.. except for a brass hammer, and that's where Harbor Freight comes in. Harbor Freight's brass hammer is $20-25, whereas anywhere else it's 40-100. At least when I bought mine, it wasn't easy to find anywhere for less than $40. Makes it a really good deal, and it seems to be a good quality item.
+Jesse Crandle I like their hammers. It is hard to screw something like that up.
Harbor freight is a good store for hand tools and baby incubators...you got a new sub.
I love Harbor freight, always have.
if your turning wrench days are over how would you know how good tools are if your dont even use them?
Fabian R Because HF sells more than wrenches weisenheimer.
I alway look forward to a trip to Harbor Freight... Gresham, OR :) Like a toy store :)
FullTime LiveAboard I hear you. I can't walk out of there without breaking monthly tool budget.
Xplorer Steve LOL!
Harbor Freight to me is my home away from home, their selection of hand tools are just endless, if you walk in just for one tool, chances are you'll be walking out possibly more than what you originally wanted. I never took my mom to one, but one day, maybe I will just to piss her off.
You know, I think I'll do that on Mother's Day well my mom is still alive.
AND I want one of those tools.
The air tool fittings,I would avoid.Instead of them, buy the Milton type air tool fittings.I admit that my 1/4 air ratchet from Harbor Freight has been a good one for about 4 years now.Still works great to this day without a problem.
wafrederick Thanks for the tips
Some people here have said why buy anything but Harbor Freight, like Craftsman when it's all made in China in the same factory now... well I can assure you that's not completely true. You can buy a made in China Milwaukee Sawzall, and the gears inside of it will be machined and hardened steel, the gears in the Harbor Freight tool? They're made of either plastic or powdered steel that's basically heated until it holds a shape. What this means is if you were going to renovate a room in your house the Harbor Freight tool MIGHT last the whole job, but at some point those super cheap gears will fail (and it won't take that long). The Milwaukee tool will stand up to contractor grade use for a decade or more, even being made in China. As much as I hate to say it all Chinese tools are NOT created equal, and typically when it comes to power tools you get what you pay for.
Oh yeah, and as of right now? If a tool says "made in Inida" it's potmetal and it's trash. I have a pry bar from Harbor Freight, it's made of the nastiest cheapest potmetal I've ever seen, and I've broken one before actually, but for the price and how often I use it I don't mind.
If you don't mind a tool failing you in the middle of an important job? Go Harbor Freight. If you want a tool that'll last you a lifetime and you know it will work every time? Spend the extra 70 dollars and buy Bosch, Milwaukee, Makita, DeWalt, Hitachi, etc.
+Jesse Crandle Bam! Best comment yet.
+Jesse Crandle True. China makes things to spec. If Dewalt, Milwaukee etc calls for machined gears over sintered, that is what the product will have. I don't buy power tools from HF as a rule. Exception being my heat gun that I bought for a single project- however I have used it on several projects and it just keeps working. One of the best $14 I have spent there. Their hand tools are a great value. Chrome Vanadium is Chrome Vanadium and is suited to hand tools no matter where it is fashioned.
Keep in mind; for power tools, HF offers two brands for nearly ever tool. Drillmaster is lower quality, made for light usage.
Chicago electric, especially Pro models, are much higher quality. Pro models are more up to USA made standards and can handle every day use.
FCFordLord Sometimes you just don't need to spend $100 or $200 on a tool either, you can get the Chicago Electric tool for $70 (like I bought an orbital polisher for my car). I only need to polish the car once a year or less because I typically keep it nice and waxed/protected, so spending $150 on a nice name brand just wasn't necessary.
Shh be quiet let him spend thousands on hand tool don't tell him that I have been using my hf hand tools everyday for the past 5 years and none has broke yet
That's a nice Harbor Freight in Vegas not like the one on Houston...lol
Hey I'm going to be in Vegas next week it would be cool to see your rig swing by the Stratosphere
Explorer Express Van Haha. I am keeping it in the Van Cave till it's all buffed out. even so, I have to dust it off before hitting it with the compound.
Xplorer Steve Hello I wanted to ask you if you can do a video about the best places to park a high top Van or Class B in Vegas?
My Explorer van is 7'6" tall, how tall is your Xplorer? Is there garages that will fit tall Vans that you know about in Vegas?
Also can your Xploror go through a McDonald's/fast food drive through?
Here in Canada we have a similar store but it is called Princess Auto
DIY Maniac Just took a look at their web site. It's interesting they have a "surplus" section.
Yep. Princess Auto is a great store. I could live in there ;)
I can never leave Harbor Freight with out spending at least $100 bucks... It's a sickness...
I with you on that.
Oh c'mon, every body knows it's not a baby incubator, it's a baby diaper changing station.
oeo1977 You laugh, but have you ever changed a baby diaper? You may be on to something there. Install an exhaust fan and you could patent it. haha.
looks like the set all the store up the same way
For the last 40 years I've always bought Sears Craftsman, but the quality of their hand tools went down the tubes since they moved production to China. I started going to HF and have to say they have everything I need and much cheaper prices than Sears. Sad to say HF tools are also made in China but at least their return policy is way better than Sears. I guess that's why Sears is closing stores while HF is thriving.
"Baby incubator" haha funny guy!:p
1. Never buy anything with moving parts. 2 .if something you buy breaks use the warranty! Bam bam
sounds like a plan.
I had two of those in my toolbox for 25 years and they are everything that you claim they are
Thank god they dont have these in Ireland, I'd spend a small fortune haha!
ps great job steve on harbor freight
im going this weekend i cant wait
+Alex Forman Don't forget the 20% off coupon. Good luck.
oh where is it? link and thank you
+Alex Forman Oh, thought you got the flyers. When you go, get on the mailing list.
i just got on thanks if you have any more sugestions or tips please tell me thanks
+Alex Forman Will do.
Right rainbow storm?
Dude we have the same love affair with HF tools 👍
***** I have found that many do.....except for the Snap-on guys. Snap-on guys don't like anything but Snap-on.
I shop at Harbor Freight for the Price. They do have good quality Products
store looks familiar... Is the Vegas store?
+Anon Ymousmie Yep. Rainbow.
I bought some air couplings from Harbor Freight. They leak like crazy! I need to go back to genuine Milton brand air chucks.
+Paul Frederick Did you mate the HF with another brand? I had that problem once and found that by using the HF male and female, it worked. Mixing and matching, not so much so.
Xplorer Steve
I probably did. I am not about to change every air fitting just for one chuck. That chuck leaks even with nothing plugged into it though.
Did you remember the thread tape?
FCFordLord
They leak out of the fitting. You know, where the coupling plugs in? The spring valve in them is made poorly.
Always end up filling a basket somehow
You have to do your homework with HF. The vices suck, broken everyone I had. The bench grinders are OK, but under powered. We have ad an 8" BG at our shop (work) in uses EVERY DAY for th last 4 years and it's still going.
Quality has come up a lot in the past few years. The U.S. taught them the value of quality control from all the U.S. firms setting up shop over there.
i think ive purchased at least one of everything in that store except for air compressors and lifting/jacking equipment.
+Shank Montgomery They have a little compressor I am looking at for the RV.
+Shank Montgomery there floor jacks are very good!
+Hardogger yeah i know people that own them but ive had a craftsman 3 ton for years that ive never had an issue with. it is getting to where it will need some fluid added though.
Did you use your 20% coupon and get a free item?
Great tour!
Kevin Shea Duh-oh! didn't think of it.
Due to not having my coupon with me, ...When I get a coupon, I put in the glovebox, so I have it. I can't tell you the number of times I saw a Harbor Freight and did not have my 20% and free item with me.
Awesome channel!
Kevin Shea lady at the cash register used her's, for all us forgetful customers, in Reno. thanks lady.
If i ever get rich im gonna buy the whole damn store. lol
I wish. haha.
It will still be cheaper than buying a snap-on truck
I think you could buy the store for the price of their damn tool chests.
your snap on truck will still have value in ten years where harbor freight will just be found in the landfill.
Michael Pott
Wow! Was just in the market for a Baby Incubator..Problem solved..My Wife says You Tube is a mindless waste land..Not any more Baby! Great Video ,now I have to go out to Horrible Freight
Dudeareno Rodent Haha. Horrible Freight. First time I've heard that one. They will double as a baby incubator in a pinch, right?
Dudeareno Rodent Hazard Fraught.
hooniverse.com/2012/09/24/truth-in-advertising-hazard-fraught-tools/
You can never have enough tools
FIrst I get the ones i need then collect the ones I don't.
Has everyone had good experience with customer service?
+Shelby Lasley somewhat
i started with pittsburgh wrenches, and sockets but i moved on because the the wrenches aren't very comfortable in the hand, and the heads of the wrenches were to fat, i still have all of them i just dont have them in my box at work they are fine for the shit i do around the house
+Ian Sullivan Yes. I'm no pro. I have some Mac and SnapOn but my mainstays are Craftsman. I like Pittsburg for their hex and torx sockets and many specialty tools.
they just opened a HF store a mile from my home this week! i'm in trouble now! they got some good shit there.
mr bad example Don't forget your 20% off coupon.
Xplorer Steve i get those in emails every week LOL
mr bad example Sometimes you can find ratchets and stuff for the same price at Sears when it's on sale. I can get a Sears flex head ratchet that actually locks in place for the same price as the HB flex head which has no stops. You can also get Tekton hand tools for about the same price as many harbor freight stuff. I like their bar clamps and have their work cart. Awesome tool box! Dial indicator for brakes, works! Hammers... anything with a wooden handle is loose. Other places are starting to feel the heat so now that you've got a HB near you keep a lookout for name brand deals.
mr bad example may god have mercy on your soul
My harbor freight tools has maybe one or two more iels I go to harbor freight for small stuff not big
No doubt, it's hard to beat Harbor Freight.
WannaBFree I agree.
I love HF too but you need to be aware of what you are buying. A lot of their tools are junk. Mostly anything that is free will break after a use or two. However there are a lot of deals to be found. You just have to know their tools. Lots of crap but also lots great deals. Most of their heavy duty stuff is good, rubber air hoses are decent, the oil-filled compressors are better than crapsman or the Husky compressors. Their 29 gallon compressor is a beast.
+damannoa I have found their online website to be of value. It includes customer ratings. HF seems to be sensitive to customers an will replace poorly rated items with different ones. They are doing their best, it seems, to locate and import quality at a good price point.
+Xplorer Steve I agree with you 100% and I certainly recommend that people explore what HF has to offer. There are A LOT of gems to be found. You can save a fortune buying their quality tools over craftsman and Husky. You just have to steer clear of the no so good stuff.
This video gave me tingles in my nethers...
wincrasher2007 I understand the feeling. Tools.
i really hate going in there, i will plan to buy 1 tool and end up paying for 20 items. like you tools are my weekness.
+Fingloi Delos reyes The struggle..... is real.
It's tool porn!
+Tom Wilcox It is!
And a straight screw driver on the wool pad works just as good as the spur.. fyi
never, ever buy the orange handled pliers set, i showed the manager at my local store how bad they are and recommended taking them off the shelf but he couldn't.and the air hoses and fittings are not so good. aside from that most of the stuff is well worth the price and i am addicted to a weekly visit
Their stuff improve us on a pretty regular basis. They have a few different lines of quality and pliers lately.
wish Canada has harbor freight
We do... its called Princess Auto! Pretty hard to tell the difference.
Hmm, you're kinda right but harbor freight has way way more tool selection
Kinda like everything in the US compared to Canada. They have over 10 times the population and thus 10 times the selection of goods. I do like HF better than PA, but its close on some stuff.
anyone notice he called the sandblasters incubators?
