    I could just cry! Happy tears though… Your video is the most comprehensive I have come across that covers the grouting, the sealing, and the caulking of the backsplash project. I have had immense trepidation over starting this aspect of my project. But you have covered every single detail, truly every single detail - even how to get the grout out of crevices that are to be caulked instead; which has caused me the greatest anxiety when trying to figure out best approach. I am in awe, and deeply grateful that I came across your video! 🤗

    Thanks -- yours is the first video I've watched that addresses where the tile meets the wood trim. I'm also need to retrofit something under my window. Nice video.

    Me again, apologies, if you can just provide me with 1 last detail of guidance because I have thought of a question since!
    I will be starting the grouting this coming weekend.
    My tile is honed marble.
    Is there anything you would do different with the grouting aspect?
    Would you still leave it on honed marble as long as you did with the glass tile?
    The thought that has crossed my mind, is because it is honed marble and natural stone absorbs unlike ceramic or glass tile; that perhaps I should not leave it on his long.
    What are your thoughts/experience/knowledge on this aspect? 😃

      You should use a sealer on natural stone before grouting. This will stop any discoloration. Sealer can be purchased at any big box store, Home Depot. Then you would grout the same way without any worries.

      By all means seal the tile 1st so the grout won't dry on your marble & don't use sanded grout it WILL scratch your marble there's 4 different grades of marble, grade 1 will scratch if you look @ it grade 4 has a much harder surface & you can use sanded grout just don't apply a lot of pressure when grouting. A lot of people buy cheap marble tile put it on their floors & in weeks it's all scratched up ASK where your buying it from what 's the hardness.

      @@thomaspayne130 good morning! I appreciate the reply. Projects are already finished, but I did seal before applying grout. this will be helpful for others too. :}
