    Obradovic’s offence gives solutions. I watched a seminar he lead and it was all about how to get a basket plan a, b, c etc. Once main setup is done, there is many ways to score the basket. But of course it requires great shooters and smart players.

      Obradovic would be fired or resign after a few weeks... he constantly chews his players when they make bad plays... so after a few games of chewing out an All Star level player they would make a mess cause they're divas... as Obradovic said to Bogdan Bogdanovic when he played for Fenerbahce and went to him and said "why you always screaming at me?"... Obradovic replied "I'm screaming at you cause you're good... cause you're talented... if I thought you were talentless I wouldn't waste my time trying to teach you things you can't do"... when he coached Panathinaikos in Greece after a bad loss the next day he gathered the team for an 8 hour practice... when the players came out after 8 freakin hours the reporters asked "what the hell happened in there?" and the players replied "nothing... we need to practice to get better"
      That's his mentality... that doesn't work in the NBA... in the NBA it's all about politics.. you have to manage all the egos... Zeljko would be forced to leave and he doesn't want to be marked as a failure just because some diva multimillionaire players can't handle real coaching...

    It's not about politics. It's just sport. Yeah ... We have Greek Guard and Serbian Coach. But Panathinaikos had Turkish forward İbrahim Kutluay when in their most powerful times. Some dudes are trying to bring the business to politics when there is no sporting success.
    We will go to the Final four with two Turkish teams.
    Sorry Zalgiris !!!

    • @wonderlandian8465
      @wonderlandian8465 Před 4 lety +3

      Well Kutluay was actually at Panathinaikos for only 1 of their 6 Euroleague championships. So not when in their most powerful. Panathinaikos most powerful era was from 2007 till 2011 in which they won 3 Euroleague titles. And that was the era of Diamantidis (mainly, involved in all 3) Batiste (also in all 3), Saras, Spanoulis, Fotsis, Pekovic , Nickolas, Perperoglou playing together for a then stacked Panathinaikos roster.

      @@wonderlandian8465 Dear God, it was scary how good was PAO's backcourt with Šaras, Spanoulis and DD. And Batiste, Peković, Fotsis, Tsartsaris inside. Plus CSKA with JR Holden, Trajan Langdon, Šiškauskas, Papaloukas, Smodiš, Khryapa, led by Messina. Then Pini Gershon's Maccabi between 2004 and 2006 with Šaras, Anthony Parker, Vujčić. It was a GREAT basketball, that Euroleague was much stronger than today. :/

    • @wonderlandian8465
      @wonderlandian8465 Před 2 lety +1

      @@markomarkovic5729 I agree, the Euroleague used to have so many stacked teams , last few years Euroleague has dropped off in terms of talent level majorly because most players want to go in the NBA. Back in the day you had legends who preferred to stay in Europe (Spanoulis, Saras, Diamantidis, Navarro ,Papaloukas, Šiškauskas , Teodosic, Vujčićetc) now the minute a player has a breakthrough season they are looking for an NBA contract even if they weren't near the level of the ones i mentioned.
