- Boss Attack Plus is a mod that extends the existing Boss Attack in Sonic 2 (2013), made by Metal Shadow Productions.
Features:
• Sonic 1 Stages. Green Hill and Co. are joining the Boss Attack.
• Added Boss Attack to the Level Select (Up,Up,Up,Down,Down,Down,Left,Right,Left, Right on the title screen in no save, or use dev menu)
• A new options menu. Select Boss Attack in Stage Select to access it.
• All Characters Playable.
• Music choosing: change the boss tune like you want.
• Extended Time Limit to 15 minutes... or disable it completely.
• Save your best time.
18 Bosses in a row. Can you defeat Dr. Eggman in this huge boss rush? Play ALL bosses from Sonic 1 and 2 (2013). Choose your favourite music while fighting... from Sonic 1 to 3D Blast.
Future features:
• CD Bosses.
• Result screen. Watch your best times with all characters.
• More music options.
• More Boss Attack Modes: S1 alone, S2 alone, CD alone, all together.

Finally was able to get this mod to work. I was originally trying going for a no damage run, but then Metropolis happened after a miss timing, afterwards I just attempted a speedrun strat, hoping to hit less than 10 minutes here. If at some point this does happen to to get an update with all the future features mentioned, I'm definitely open to trying it out again.

Loved today's gameplay. Was nice seeing all the various bosses as a gameplay with a mix of both Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. Wasn't a long upload today, but still enjoyed the outcome and the quick boss defeats all in one video. Thank you man ✊🏿
Death Egg Robot music playing at the end is a really nice touch. Extremely minor but still appreciated.

Awesome to see Sonic 1's bosses ported into Sonic 2 2013. It's like the old hack "Robotnik's Revenge", but better!
Admittedly though, with Sonic 2's physics, it made Sonic 1's bosses easier since you can just spam hits on some of the bosses.
The two games had different physics?
This is a great edition of sonic 2 and the boss attack zone is really cool!
The transition from the Death Egg Robot’s defeat to the Signpost was neat.

Thanks for showcasing! Nice to see someone got the mod working, since a script update for sonic 2 happened a few days after the release and I didn't released an update, yet. 9:08 is a nice Time, My best is about 8 min with Tails. I will add a better scorings system to the next update, alongside the Bosses from Sonic CD, a settings menu, and minor fixes. Also thinking about a timer freeze after Final Zone (or removing the cutscene), and in DEZ after the 12th hit. Thanks again, stay tuned for the new update

How long until someone ports the Robotnik’s Revenge hack over to Sonic 2 Decomp? Because this is pretty sweet!
In therory, since I got a base here, and Egg Gauntlet follows a similar setup, it could be done easily.
Also, one minor request: Could you add options for the final boss music along with the regular boss themes? (In addition to adding options for music from Sonic CD USA, Sonic 3D Saturn & Mania for both boss themes)

Sadly no, but I think it's possible that it could happen at some point.

@@BetaNCourses Ok good, it's the same one I used here.
So basically you gotta open the settings.ini file, from there you should see under [Dev] an option that says "Enable this flag to force the engine to load from the scripts folder instead of from bytecode." Under that should say TxtScripts=false, change that false into true. From there just save it and it should work.
