  • Check out this montage of of every goal for the Boston Bruins, who ended their Stanley Cup Championship drought in the process. While winning the Cup for the first time since the Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito 1972 squad, the rebirth of the Bruin's dominance reigned supreme over the league in 2011.

Besides 2013-14 that was probably the last time these two teams like had bad boiling blood and were legit rivals, not just because it was montreal and Boston but because of what happened during the couple seasons prior with these two teams. This was a playoff series that any hockey fan should find entertaining

I mean you didn’t “get robbed”. I understand being super disappointed that your team lost but you got to watch the amazing game of hockey live ! And atleast you got to watch your team score 3 times I mean shit. I get the disappointment though. I’m a Vegas fan and was at the 2019 game 7 vs the Sharks when we were up 3-0 halfway through the 3rd period and then the refs decided to hand the game to the sharks by giving us a 5 min major and the sharks then scored 4 times in a row , we tied it with less than a minute to go and then lost in overtime. I’ll never trust comfortable leads ever again. Shit sucked .

I will always look back on this series and see how badly Carey Price played. Then I'll realize the way he played that 1st round series is the way he always played the past 3 seasons at least. Then I realize since Price plays the way he did in this Boston series that Montreal will never win a Stanley Cup with Carey Price as their starting goaltender. Then I realize he's getting paid 10.5 million dollars (cap space wise) and doing next to nothing but laying an egg on the ice and realize nobody's going to want him. This series is the case for Price's decline. Thank you Bruins for exposing Price's bad sides and how he really isn't the best goaltender in the league.

Bruins fan here; & Danny9 whether you like it or not you've gotten a *like* from me. And the Tampa Bay series; only reaffirms my bitterness aBOOT trading tyler seguin(management claiming "he rely's too heavily on his talent.")to Dallas only to receive nothing(Louie Erikkson, or a cup of coffee)... Idc if you think he rely's on his talent too much; that's his game for christ sakes! now look at dallas; and how well he's playing there. I'm telling ya Bobby Orr & Ray Bourque(they tried for a brief moment w/ sergie samsonov)will be the last superstars on the Bruins. We no longer look for players such as a tyler seguin or a dougie hamilton etc. it's the managements belief that superstars such as these only hinder the chemistry in the locker-room and when your teams game is based around out-working the opposing team. star players don't fit well into that style of game-play, if you're a star you need to be tough gritty, willing to get down an block shots at any given moment. if you're still a star player and do all of the things I've listed above then bruins scouting management may take a second look at ya. but like seguin(and good for him btw)for not wanting to change his style of game-play; his talent allows him to play without taking runs at opposing players, this also plays out into the stretch where he usually doesn't take the same injuries as others; because he plays a much less physical game. not saying I like it, but the good cop/bad cop routine between him & jamie benn seems to work well, and can be a nightmare for other teams to try too defend.. so apparently tyler seguin knows something the bruins management doesn't(the league & game are changing/evolving *duh* )..

It sucks because when Boston beat the Canucks half of the Canucks players were injured from dirty hits and plays and the refs were just brutal. Then when the next season came Boston and Canucks played each other with every player being healthy. Both teams were playing their hearts out and Canucks beat Boston in overtime that game. The game was called Game 8 because it felt like a playoff game when watching it. I’m still disappointed today knowing that the Canucks could have won the cup just from watching game 8 in the 2012 season.
