  • In this next route learning video, we take a First Capital Connect liveried Class 313 on a semi-fast run on the East Coast Main Line, between Welwyn Garden City and London Kings Cross. Along the way we call at Hatfield, Potters Bar, Finsbury Park, and London Kings Cross.

    H iPete Great to see you again. I've been driving trains on Train Simulator for a few months now but the only route I have, so far managed to drive without the hud is Riviera Lines (Modern). I did though manage to score 1000 points the other day in Career Mode!

    Picked up the AP 313 over the weekend. Overall probably the best EMU I've driven on TS to date. The attention to detail is astonishing. It's a shame DTG and their suppliers don't often put as much love into the trains they release as AP and Waggonz do. Looking forward to the 314 pack they're planning on releasing. Great video Pete!

    For semi-fast services like this one, you should use the 365 as it reaches 100 when going on fast line (not a need for a 387 as is a shorter run, so no need for 110, but yes for 100). The 313s can be kept on stopping services as they only reach 75.

    Welcome back Peter; it is good to see that you have not lost your touch. You have been missed, but replaying some of your previous videos kept withdrawal symptoms at bay. Running the route from Kings Cross to Dundee which you have covered in stages was a welcome preparation for a return trip with my wife KX to Dundee at the end of September.

    Great video, nice to see another RL video, haven't seen one in months! I recently went into a HST cab thanks to a kind GWR driver at work, and I can confirm that the DTG Class 43 cab model couldn't be further from real life. Tonnes of things aren't simulated... ATP data entry, DSD, ATP computer system and much more. Be good to see all this in TS World, as it is part of driving the train in real life.

    • @PTGRail
      @PTGRail  Před 7 lety +1

      Thanks, Leo. There's quite a few more coming up very soon now! I know there's a few systems not simulated within TS on the HST, and I really hope that they make it a much more realistic experience within TS World.
