Ludi - I'm begging you, please use your black magic to grant Scotland something PLEASE! If this is the last DLC then we may never get a whole campaign of you doing a Scots accent!
Map and Coloring of EUIV is to beautiful especially compering it to bleak and pale virgin EUV political map color. So if they don't update that color game can not succed
If you feel like your being milked don't buy it. I bought it and will probably be playing this game into EU5. EU4 has been my favorite game of all time.
same here, I will likely play eu4 for 4 to 4 years after eu5 is out since it will not have close to the content eu4 has...but I hope I am wrong too
I feel like with the past few DLCs the content has been so vast and covered so many nations and regions PLUS the fact it's cheaper than Stellaris and CK3 DLC it's hard to see why people would earnestly think they're being milked but I totally get what you're saying
Long live EU4!!
It's milking in the sense that they are trying to get money out of extra content for an old game but not milking in the sense that all they are trying to do is to get money from an old game at our expense. I think it's pretty clear the EU4 team is pretty passionate about their work
By the way, you have to option to subscribe. I never bought a dlc, but when I feel like playing I sign up for a month. It’s very cheap in my region
I was there, Gandalf, when the last EU3 dlc released, and played the hell out of it before EU4 come out. Divine Wind! This gives me deja-vu
divine wind, wind of change....coincidence?
I still play EU3, thoug
@@Maus_Indahaus I continued to play EU3 for another year after EU4 released
@@Maus_Indahaus Damn thats hardcore. 😁
Also played EU3 back then but compared to 4 it just looses on all fronts.
@@Maus_Indahaus Yeah, with all this tinto talk, I say let play eu3 again for the memories ya know, and boi play with Golden Horde again it's quite an experience Xd
Ahh yes. The illusive, yet historically accurate nation of Australia-Hungary
Famous historical country yes indeed
Formed in the mid 1900s!
A true endgame ending on EU4. Amazing Content both from You Ludi and From Paradox for making this game great.
Couldn't agree more!
While I'm disappointed the re-formed Roman empire never got the mission tree it deserved (according to whether it's a republican government or not), the last DLC do seem to be a nice way to end the EU4 adventure.
To be honest does Rome need a dlc. Most people that form Rome would do around the beginning of Age of Revolutions. What goals are there to meet? You’re already global hegemon, there’s no challenge or pushback
@@chiveschivian9965 So? Many other formable empires have their own mission tree but not the one I care about the most, that's it.
I don't care about "challenge" or "pushback", just hoped that my favorite re-formed empire had a mission tree.
@@wargamesmastermost formable empires don't span all of France, Italy, the Balkans, Iberia, parts of North Africa, and parts of England.
@@chiveschivian9965Forming early rome would be cool, and then a mission tree to reconquest the full borders
Only requiring early italy bits for that
Yes, Scuola Grande means Subscribe to Ludi! As an italian i confirm 100%

I don't think that announcing EU5 would stunt sales for winds of change at all. Any real Paradox fan knows that EU5 is going to be barebones when it first comes out. I'll probably still play EU4 well into the first few years of EU5 development. Paradox just doesn't have a good track record when it comes to new releases. CK3, and Vicky 3 prove that fact. Don't get me wrong, they were still pretty good, but they got boring pretty quick due to a lack of content
Also performance. Not only does CK2 have more flavour, and just works better overall (including in role-playing which is supposed to be CK3's strength) but I feel like CK2 a couple hundred years in is still so much smoother than CK3 a couple hundred years in.
Facts
V3 is pile of dogshit. Boring af. No diplomacy, “if it’s green hit it” economy , no brain war
I preorder CK3, play it for several hours and never touch it again. lol.
I mean it is true that any real paradox fan knows eu4 is gonna be barebones when it first comes out. But the vast majority of customers aren't die-hard fans and are just casual gamers, so it would defo stunt sales.
I can't wait to form the Australian-Hungary nation, which you mentioned twice in the Hungary section :P
Divine Wind 🔥
Winds of Change 🔥
yeah similar name for the last dlc on both eu3 and eu4
@@LudietHistoria I'm gonna tear up
@@rilindshehu2458 I'll join you
EU5 will be the “Wind from the South”
Everyone sweating nerviously when one of the first EU5 dlcs has wind in the name
Dear Ludi, Thanks you for the video. 13:48 very intersting part of European history with inbreeding between "Australia" Iberic Habsbourg ; colonization and some centuries laters wars with Louis XIV...
Also, it's worth to mention that if i am not mistaken, the last EU3 dlc was called Divine Wind. Coincidance? THINK NOT!
yup it sure was Divine Wind. Doubt a coincidence
I am not Italian, I am Catalan, but since Latin languages are so close one to another I know that "Scuola Grande" is "Escola Gran" which obviously translates Like this video and subscribe to Ludi.
Getting this video in before I got to work. Great timing Ludi.
I think that EU5 will have hard time against expectations of players that are used to play EU4 that went so many changes, reworks, new mechanics etc.
Not to say that last Paradox games are not most popular in their Portfolio - Imperator is a failure, Victoria 3 - that I waited for so long reminds me some mobile game not next iteration of Victoria series, maybe Crusader Kings 3 really took over Ck2.
Maybe that is why EU5 will start so early - to differ from EU4 not to try to compete directly.
I hope there's a small dlc that just reworks North africa and ireland. They're the only places i think are still both relevant and outdated enough to be worth reworking.
Yes, 100%.
Portugal too, im sorry but i cant call painting a tag Blue content, its filler if Anything.
Remember when they said they weren't going to do branching missions after lions of the north? I 'member. (This is not a complaint.)
true
didnt they say they wouldnt do as many branching mission as in lion but still some,
@@keyos4398 what matters most is that they are still doing them. I'm all for it!
Great video!
I like that u did before interview with one of their employees who Paradox got because they saw that the mod he put out was well made...
Can't wait to play Venice again... not too sure Austria needed a bit of a rework but anything to provide a chance of a counterbalance for the ottomans for when they decide to turn up.
Wallachia and Moldova are still missing a lot of flavour . Was hoping they would give more love there . The mission trees are pretty dry
thx very much, Ludi :)
G'day mate looking forward to Ludi playing the newly formable Australia-Hungary.
will be fun
As Italian I can confirm that "scuola grande" can be translated to "subscribe to ludi"
Sunset invasion time bby!!!
Just preordered it, Gonna make the world hussite!
war, war never changes.
tell that to those who made victoria 3
@@shehryarashraf5840 to be fair... vik3 is legit quite good
Looking forward to this one, been holding off on a bunch of achievement runs waiting on their reworks/updates.
I've always been on the edge of trying to get into EU4. I've booted it up and played it for 10+ hours here and there but between all the DLC and the 10+ years of development and updates I find it's so challenging to figure out and find a guide that is updated and accurate that doesn't rely on knowing a ton of in game mechanics already. I'm thinking I might try this again but... I'm also excited for the fresh start of EU5, learning alongside everyone else like I did with Vicky 3.
EU4 is easy man. Just accept that you’re a noob who knows nothing and play for fun for the first 1000 hours. After that you should start to grip on the game and from there you’ll be good.
@@weswhite6058 bro shut up, if you say you need to know 1k hours to know what your doing its not easy
there is many guides that still apply to modern eu4, I can send them for all each different topics and etrc if you still interested
Yes! Finallyyyyy, we have Kamchatkan tribe missions!!! The devs are really listening!!!! I was asking for miasions for Kamchatkan tribes from 1 or 2 dlc's back and it is happening!
Hello from Qara Qoyunlu/Shirvan aka Azerbaijan Ludi
Greater Armenia
:0 the DLC comes out on my birthday!
Omg I can't wait!!!!
Would be really fun if you could flip the English Channel, Gibraltar, Ivory Coast, and France (forget the exact name) trade nodes towards the new world trade nodes. Same of the west coast too. Late game thing in the sunset invasion missions maybe.
Ludi don't forget that the German Empire also consisted of a sausage factory in Tanganyika!
I love EU, I love Paradox for EU and i love Ludi for EU related content!
Cant believe its coming to an end. Its had some rough patches sure but its been my favourite game since release day.
Just wish the Sámi wouldn't have to be Christian from the get-go, but what can you expect from a Swedish company
Such a good name for the last dlc
I don't need Ludi to do my daily juicing, but his face definitely helps.
love u too
EU4 ending is quite emotional 😢🥲
Ludi! I watched two 15 second ads for you my brother
Kamchadese mission rework will involve boosting agriculture, particularly nut harvesting
I think if they do a flavor pack it will be in India. They haven’t been touched in a while and are almost the last place to need some reworking.
Similar with 'Holy Fury' being the last DLC in CK2 it was a work of love
I think people are (somewhat rightfully) frustrated with Paradox’s DLC policy. However, Winds of Change looks awesome and I’m ready to see this journey out.
I'm ok with, especialy because i use subscription mode, just sad that ck3 doesnt have that
Paradox is clear about its intentions try EA or Ubisoft who sells a game for like 70 bucks for standard and like 60 for dlcs year 1 and still do paywalls and powercreeping through monetary transactions: say a better item.
I usually wait for the sale, but I paused my Mughal WC to restart in the 1.37 so I will pre-order it!!!
Ha! I just love your sense of humor!
meow *steals wallet, sees it's empty, gives back wallet*
Im so hype about the achievements
Ludi I told you if you used that photo one more time I'd bust out the photoshop
it begins xD
give me your best takes :D
Winds of change: I love the name. Great song too! And with Eu5 on the way, it says a lot!
There has to be more because there is no Brandenburg flavour adds. If they have as they claim been listening to players, reading forums etc - they’d have done so
I thought there would have been a late Easter egg dev diary about this - as there wasn’t, it means almost certainly there will be more future content
would be a nice 'ludi' flavour pack
Ludi will your ,, Special link'' be active before pre-purchase ends cause i want them songs?
Ludi Senpai please answer the question D:
Can’t wait for a Prussia to Germany play through with the new dlc 🔥🔥🔥
It would be cool if they implemented a mechanic for German unification through a system similar to the HRE that would only be allowed if you're Protestant/Reformed and after the League War. A confederation
Eu4 was my first 1000 hours+
And comeing back i still love the game
This DLC will be absolutely insane. Flavour is what I play for, and all this flavoir makes it feel like a brand new game.
I dont expect another major DLC - but I do expect another major patch. A 2.0 that goes through with many bug fixes and little tweaks to make the game the best it can be before development formally ends. I think that patch will be released after EU5 is formally announced, but still a significant time before EU5 actually releases.
I'm to be honest also a bit sadd that the eu4 chapter is about to be closed, it's been a game that's I kinda grown up with so tho imma probably keep playing it it still feels a bit sad
Tbh what I really want is more content for the age of revolutions and also as the main revolutionary republic be able to have a different type of peace deals, and the ability to force an alliance with other nations like what happened irl in Napleonic wars.. maybe I'm asking for too much guess I'll wait for EU5 lol though sad it won't have different timelines to start from other than 2 or 3 from what I heard
Founding of the German Empire in 1871.
Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867, which is the start of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. Previously it was called the Austrian Empire, SO IT DOES MAKE SENSE to be a formable. (1848-49 Revoution in Hungary, defeat, executions, pissed of nation, need of compromise b'coz Austria losing its great power status just to summarise it.)
1861 the proclamation of the Italy, although Rome was only added to it in 1870.
This may sound wierd, but i can see them put out one last EU4 DLC after this to take care of leftovers and hold us over depending on the EU5 release timeline
There is a reason I still play this game 11 years later, best game of all time and I’m afraid eu5 won’t come close to it
cant wait to play australia-hungary tech 30
Wind of Change…now I’m whistling the Scorpions song…
same, when I heard the dlc name first last month I started singing winds of change for a couple of hours lol
While watching this video i got a ad for the dlc
Australia-Hungary sounds like a beast of a nation.
Ima buy it live I've bought every dlc since launch. Over 5000hrs. Think this dlc will add at least a couple hundred more before eu5 launch.
Sad that Brandenburg got left behind, the mini rework in lions of the north does not keep up with these
There is an ignore coring distance monument in Maghreb in one of the monument mods I use, when I first saw it I was like, huh, this seems totally useless outside of a wierd fast Ottoman WC.
I'm curious what people with do with it, if anything.
Please what are the new Aztec ideas pls show it in your video when you make a early try video on the dlc before it is released
8:55 I conferm that means "subscribe for Ludy", I'm italian so prove me wrong.
i hope they make the base eu4 free to play after eu5 releases.
I hope that is not the last DLC for EU4 because EU5 will be fun for a moment and then everybody will be back to playing EU4.
And with that the winds of change shall lead to eu5
An eu5 where sicily is named sicily and not Trinacria
I’m curious how the European colonies thing will work for the Aztecs . Are we getting new colonial regions? Or will they just use the trade company areas
G E K O L O N I S E E R D ! ! VoC Let's gooooo!
Hell if they keep making good dlcs like they have been doing the last 4 or 5 (?) they can keep "milking" me for a few more.
Austria has kangaroos, Australia has Mozart*
Amazing revamp to Hungary. Hopefully they won't invent hajdú elite units.
Divine Wind was the last EU3 expansion. So this feels appropriately named.
yup, my point exactly from what I said on stream about teh name too, similar last names!
Florry is gonna be eating good.
F cant wait for this to release
australia-hungry will be great!!!!
Yo we got Austria Hungary before Belgium
Too late Ludi, I already bought it😄
I don’t know why anyone says it’s being milked. They are literally adding content to keep the game alive. I wouldn’t still be playing it 10 years later if they didn’t constantly keep adding content 🤣
Tbf tho, lots of the content in the past few dlcs has just been missions instead of actually introducing many new mechanics like the huge revamps to Catholicism and the hre in emperor, or even innovativeness and coal in britannia
OMG OMG OMG GREAT MORAVIA!!!
Another last dlc it was the 3rd or 4th the last dlc since lions of the north
The title make me to sing wind of change
Australia is my favorite fanfic nation
I just want a Hisn Kaifa mission tree
If one of the 3 central european songs is not Winds of change by Scorpions i riot
All I wanted was some mission tree for Cilli, sigh.
"scuola garnde" real meaning is "subscribe to Ludi" as an Italian, i can conferm.
Would be nice to see a Video where you form AUSTRALIA-Hungary Ludi😘
they probably are milking it but imma be honest, i dont care, the devs got to get paid and while they are working on project eu5 they are giving us more love to eu4 while we wait and im okay with that. much love to ludi for always giving us updates and videos about eu4 and soon to be eu5
im a bit sad that they didnt touch India at all.
Well apart of the Mughals :D
"The last DLC"
Said Ludi, for the millionth time.
Having Mongolia, Moghulistan and Mughals at the same time, is so fucking confusing as a Persian person, they all literally mean the same to me, since Moghulistan is what we call Mongolia in Farsi and Mughal is also just the English version of the word Moghul, It's so fucking weird, I wish they kept the name Chagatai.
What about Fars and Persia lmfao
Fars is literally Persia in farsi, the formable should be renamed to Iran
there are 2 details that you didn't talk about:
-until now, we couldn't easily become a Hussite emperor. either with the start date glitch or dragging the religious league war into the westphalian peace.
the description on the Bohemia text sounds to me as if you can rob the crown. imagine Hussite as imperial religion. will the catholic's then oppose the Hussite religion in a league war? 😅
-on the Schönbrunn Palace monument, they tell us that it also works for religions with a christian religion as syncretic faith. wouldn't this be pointless to mention if they don't add a path to get PU's while being tengri(or whatever else religion uses this mechanic)?
