    Big thank you! I just bought one Thurs for $60, but like you, have no garage floor to bolt to, and i will use thick plywood for base, like you have. Very helpful well done video. Again, big thank you!

    I think you got lucky with how easy it was to put the new tire on.
    However, your video was good.

      Thank you! The tire (Michelin Energy Saver) is soft as it is, and summer temperatures help a lot! ;) 15" is always easy as far as I've tried. Only time I failed, was 40 years old tires, that were rock hard, and rusted rims...

    Use soapy water when breaking the bead! It will get under the bead and break way faster!

    I guess that by now you've learned the real "easy way".
    Pop the bead. Fix the rim on the machine and DO NOT TAKE IT OFF. Until the did is done!
    From there pop into the tyre balancer and that's it.
    Banging the wheel to put lube, drag it all over, etc. Is just making it dificult for no reason at all. ;-)
    Cheers

      Yes you are correct, however, I wanted to show all parts thorougly, that's why I removed the rim! :)

    I use this machine to mount 18 inch low profile tires for my drift car. I about died laughing when you just push the tire onto the rim no way you can do that with 18s can’t wait to get a tire machine lol.

      Haha, well done! :)
      This clip is shot during the summer, and the 15"-tires are soft enough to be handled manually with ease!
      During the harsh cold winter, this procedure is a pain in ye old rear, if done outside...even with 15" rims!

    Wow some great ideas there, can't wait to try them on my tires.

    Good video for using it out of the box but I bought the exact same one with a few modifications and a duck bill you can easily change tyre's almost like the machine version. That metal pipe you have there looks like all you need is a welder and duckbill the transformation is amazing lookup lucid tyre changer modification and just copy it. I mean it's so so easy even breaking the beads piece a piss.

    Skulle du rekommendera denna manuella däckrängare att köpa? Är det värt pengarna?🤔

    • @walp86
      @walp86  Před 4 lety +1

      Den är ju inte superbra i originalutförande tyvärr, så jag skulle nog köpa den bättre varianten som finns på svenska verktygssidor om man inte har möjlighet att borra om/svetsa tillbehör till Biltema-bytaren.

      @@walp86 okaj bra att veta, för såg att du hade modifierat armen som man har för o lossa däcket från fälgen, man ser ju på den att armen va alldeles för kort utan modifikationen. Överlag så såg den ganska hyfsad, men satsar nog på att köpa en bättre som du skrev. Vill ju helst veta att de fungera som de ska utan modifikationer
      Tack så mycket för hjälpen👍👍

      -With a manual/static wheel balancer ($119/1199kr)
      I can show you a video of that soon! :)

    Save your money don’t buy hf tire changer. Chinese junk!

    • @walp86
      @walp86  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Yes, but it is also junk-cheap!
      It has saved me a ton of money, even though it is not the "sharpest banana in the closet"... as we paraphrase it in Sweden :) With some minor modifications, the tire changer is at least usable enough!

      It's not that's is junk these people mount to wood or worse it needs to be mounted solid to concrete you have a dam 60 lb wheel balancing on post and then trying to pry a tire on an off and struggling and wondering why it's so difficult sure it's not best but if take to tire a shop the tire machine is heavy sometimes mounted not wiggling around fighting them . If you mount it how it should be done it's cheaper than $30 per tire and waste couple hrs sitting in a shop for $60 dollars and little bit of time whenever it's no branier after changing take $30 put in a jar you can pick up a real used machine for $500-700 soon
