First Snowmobile Trip of the 2021-22 Season!!

- We finally got out for our first snowmobile trip of the season!! We were planning on a trip to Gaylord but the weather changed near the end of the week and Gaylord was supposed to get rain and the Upper Peninsula was supposed to get slammed with snow, so we made a last minute plan change and headed further north to Paradise, MI. They already had over a foot and a half of snow for a base layer and then got over half a foot of fresh snow while we were there! All the sleds made it through the day of riding great so it was a successful test trip, hoping that Caleb can make it out for the next ride!!

Thanks for taking us along. Early season up in the U.P. is always an adventure. I get nervous breaking trail in that much snow. I had a friend hit a plow hidden under about 25" of snow years ago in MN, and I always think about that in those conditions. I live in Florida now, and only get to ride about 10 days each winter now. The last couple years, we've spent 5 days over in the western U.P. at Lake Gogebic, and trailering over to our friends' places in Hessel - eastern U.P.
Keep the shiney sides up and the trailers between the ditches.

One of my uncles hit a car stuck in the trail and was snowed over in grayling. Instantly killed him. His helmet and head was 100 feet from the sled. My other uncle said he cant ever stop thinking about it. Its been a good 18 years now
@@tedbear6012 That's horrible... sorry to hear about that and for the loss of your uncle. That had to be very difficult for the entire family. I've heard many similar stories over the years, which are always in the back of my mind every time I start putting on my snowmobile suit.

Great Video guys and I hope Caleb has a speedy recovery. I feel for you Caleb as I’m waiting for my call for Back and neck surgery. I’m still able to ride a groomed trail but I can’t go off trail if I got stuck I’m screwed. Feel better Caleb. I hope you guys have an awesome and Safe Season. Keep The Rubber Side Down. 🤙🤙🤙🤙

So jealous!! I have a New Year's trip planned for the Petoskey Area ( Moosejaw/ Indian River trails), but unfortunately it looks like I'll have to cancel :-( This is 6 years in a row now. Looks like according to the extended weather forecast it'll be another 1 1/2-month long winter again :-( God I hope they're wrong! I'm doing the snow dance!
We were hoping to go for Christmas and New Years but definitely looking like we will have to wait longer unfortunately

The helmet lights were awesome!! Can’t wait to see them during a night ride too, we picked them up from BiteHarder 🤘🏻
Nice trip! I like riding in the UP. Great video but to make them better you need to turn your camera up so that people can see where you are going instead of looking at your ski tips.
Thanks! We definitely need to get better at checking the cameras while riding to make sure it’s always getting good footage

You guys need to get some serious snow tires on your trucks. Not into snowboiling or the cold it's not my forte but you guys have some cool looking sleds, I'm more into sweating 90ﾟ sunnyweather on the jet ski, could you guys please tell me what lake and where you're at in Michigan so I can go there too and enjoy the beauty and fun that you guys have in Michigan on the Lakes and Rivers. We have 509 and fxr suits and we are big fans of how they have held up and performed the last 2 seasons 🤘🏻
You can't go wrong with FXR. I've been wearing the same suit for 20 years and it's still in perfect condition.
How much snows in trout lake area ?
Not sure, we aren’t up there this weekend but we heard the trails were good up there last weekend

At the time we complained there was rain too and we were hoping we didn't have to ride in the rain lol but it switched over to snow after that

riding off trails frequently ends up with injuries.. and riding off trails upsets land owners and often makes land owners upsets and they refuse to allow trails to be used that pass through private land many trails pass through private land in respect to all who snowmobile please only use marked trails
The only time we were "off the trail" is when we were turning around, not sure why you're trying to lecture about it on this video
