- The Long Riders Snowmobile Club hosted their 30th annual Relic Ride at the Jack Pine Lodge north of Manistique, MI on February 12th, 2022. The Upper Peninsula Film Union was there to lend a hand with traffic and we shot some video of the event. This may be the largest vintage snowmobile ride anywhere. Check out these great old sleds. This is only a fraction of all the cool snowmobiles that took part.
You just have to love the throttle jockeys who show up on a vintage ride ride with newer sleds.
Or not. 😃
If it's at least 25 years old, it's considered to be vintage.
Everybody and their brother were making snowmobiles in the 70's!!
Alot of nice iron, especially nice to see a couple Rupps.
Some of these vintage snowmobiles that I see, people in this community did own some, they were so well used, none of them are running. Brings memories of my youth, thank you sharing.
We're glad you enjoyed it. It is good to see these old sleds still plugging along.
The john deere is so cool !💜💜
Awesome !!!
cool or what , couple of the machines i've never seen before , this is fucking awesome to whoever put this together .
lovem all omg
this is so cool!
Well well well, I finally found a video of a Suzuki Fury under power. 9:30
I should be horse whipped for selling mine.
Lots of nice old iron! I hope that JD Gator on tracks didn't go with you though, since it is 100% illegal to be on a groomed snowmobile trail!
Would be nicer if you didn’t add the music. The sound of old sleds is way better
We're sorry you don't like that. We put this together in a hurry and just wanted to get it out quickly for people to see. Since there is a lot of it that is just the noise of the crowd and the cameraman talking the decision was made to use royalty free music throughout but bring up the audio level of the machines when they went by. We'll try to do better next year. We appreciate your input.
@@upfilmunion2455 just the sound of a sled running is enough to put a smile on our faces.
i had a 1979 johndeer spit fire best seld i ever had i miss it
John Deere made some great machines back in their day. A good friend had a couple of them years ago.
old 2 strokes you bet !@@upfilmunion2455
@@upfilmunion2455I had the liquidfire 440 and the 340
I forgot how many different models from the 60-70
Why are new sleds on a vintage?
Escorts.
Anyone who has been at a super motocross station event when the dome is closed will know what this smelt like
At 2:41 that's my Nordic although yours is prettier. 1095.00 brand new in '71.
Those early sleds, you had to be athletic and mechanically inclined to keep them going.
Where is the allouetts
6:21 to 7:43? Wondering if that was a conscious decision or???
You need a better quality camera.
We do? What's wrong with the one we have? Is there a better quality camera that you recommend? Perhaps we could look into buying one.
My gosh…i sadly couldn’t watch…got sea sick.
We're sorry you couldn't enjoy it. Thanks for trying though.
WOW…that music is just over the top. Poor choice IMHO. Sorry, can’t listen to this any longer!
Did I see a Trump flag? 👍
yup
Amen
Only from an idiot....
Yuk.
Who picked the music for Pete's sake?
We didn't have a lot of time to put this together. We quickly made the decision to use some royalty free music. We are sorry you didn't like it. We'll try to do better next year.
