The game looks good. The reason I'm not buying it is because there isn't any online multiplayer and I don't have anyone to play local multiplayer with. Also, I personally don't really like split screen. If the game were online multiplayer, I would definitely buy it. I know that you had extreme difficulty trying to implement it and chose not to, but if you ever choose to add an online multiplayer update, that would be great.
Yeah that makes sense, I kind of wish I had came back to online multiplayer again but it probably wouldn’t have gone well (again)
I have the same opinion, and I'm sure many do too. If you ever get back to online multiplayer and need help with fishnet they have a very helpful discord server, I also have some experience if u want some help.
@@immysoun Indeed. I'm using FishNet for my current multiplayer project and it's really easy to use. Also, the community around it is great.
yeah the best thing about fishnet is that its very easy to make server authoritative movement compared to other multiplayer solutions
@@immysoun Yeah, that's the main reason I switched over from Mirror. I don't know it isn't a more common feature, as it's essential for any fast-paced or competitive multiplayer game.
I will absolutely buy it. I scrolled today for local multiplayer games up to four players and found this. Me and my kids (3) has just finished Castle Crashers, and we have some racing games that we haven't finished, but we have no fps game. I think my kids will love this one. Good job on developing this! Two thumbs up for this one! :)
Small Idea; put a small border line between the splitscreens. Just a line image that stretches across the center horizontally (and one vertically with 3-4 players). It helped with a splitscreen project I was working on recently, made it feel way more polished (even though it was like 4 minutes of work to make lol)
IDK if you're planning on doing any ports, but I think it would do well on Switch because of the number of people looking for split-screen / party games on there already (I would think it would be higher than the number of people on PC, but I don't have any data to back this up)
I agree here, I don't play online switch games much, but enjoy couch co-op games
You should be really proud of getting the game out! how well it does monetarily is not nearly as important as your releasing it. I would say this is a massive success if even one person has a good time playing the game. Great job!
I bought and played the game. I like it. I left a message on steam discussions for items that need a bit of "Polish" for it to feel really solid. I'm rooting for you! It's a fun game and I hope it catches on. I really want a game like this to play when a couple friends are over, and this feels pretty good to replace my old school Halo LAN parties.

Also, a modifier idea would be a grappler, but if that's too hard you can always just use teleporters

Ay congrats man! I think the biggest issue tho is that it's a local multiplayer, and these type of games are sadly dying out! But it's definitely refreshing to see one of these types of games again :D
Im making my first game release soon and to avoid any disappointment, i am just making myself a that if i make $10 after steams cut and tax, my game will have been a sucess. I know its not realistic to make games with a goal like this, but your first game will most likely be your worst

You should release this to xbox if possible! I understand that it may take a lot, but consoles are heavily missing truly fun couch co-op games.
Agreed. I donnu the engine he uses but if it is unity he only has to change build settings if he has controller support already, i think so tho not sure at all.
Modifier idea, all grenade explosions have a chance to make all players go ragdoll

This game does generally look great and will hopefully be considered as a “certified screen watch classic”.
I haven’t kept up with everything in the game so if you’ve considered this already, great!
Maybe you could add some single player type of elements so that people could play this game when they don’t have another friend to play with them. Maybe something like the MGS VR Training Missions type beat. Where there are simple objectives that add a little bit of game to what’s there already. I also understand that could take FOREVER to add but it was just a thought I had since it’s a couch co-op game and I don’t normally have friends that sit on the couch with me and play games. Looks super fun and you can tell there was a lot of work put into it.

I bought this game because couch combat is a cool guy who doesn't afraid of anything! That and i like the solid arcade style gameplay.
small tip: update the demo to be as polished as possible because almost everyone will play that first
just played it and it has a few minor bugs that the full game dosent

The game look incredible, and I'll probably pick it up come payday if nothing else but to support your channel which I love. I think one of the big issues impacting sales is that a lot of people don't really have a PC setup that lends itself to split screen. When I have friends over to play games we sit in the living room and boot up the xbox, but for this I'd have to pile everyone into my study which isn't as feasible. I'll probably look at digging my Steam Link out again to try and play this with friends, but I know a lot of people don't have that option since it wasn't super popular and is a pain to set up.
I know the barrier to entry for console releases is a lot higher (license fees being the main one I imagine, since at least Unity would let you build a console ready version without too many issues), but I think if you were able to do that then the game could do a lot better. I'd pick it up for twice the price on Xbox in a heartbeat for sure.
Once again though, thanks for the amazing content you've been putting out! I've loved watching along with your journey in developing this game and am looking forward to whatever you do next.

Steam link is actually quite easy now, it's an app for Samsung smart TVs. Works well enough but for lowest latency you'll want to plug in your TV to your PC via HDMI for this.
I'm very happy to see other indie devs and how their projects are going.

First time seeing the game. I like it, alot. Tbh I would really like for multiplayer to be added, but Ik its pain in the ass. Really like small, simple maps. I will consider buying this in near future.
This could pretty much be the family friendly and cartoony version of Garry’s mod
I think price tag of 10$ is big for this game. Mainly because to play this game you need someone to play with. There is big number of people out there including me who is willing to buy extra copy of game for friend so I can play it with someone. But deciding to do it is always like only if content is worth the 2xprice and paying 20$ dolars to play "this type of game" is not worth the price. I think ideal price tag would be 4.99$ or 3.99$.
I dont mean in any offensive way, I think the game looks great and admire that you managed to get this far. Most of the people wont publish any game and drop midway.
Take this only as constructive feedback. I hope sales will go up overtime and good luck with future projects :D
Currently it’s only local multiplayer so you actually only need to buy one copy of the game. But I’m working on online multiplayer now for it and I plan on making a discounted bundle for two players so it’s not as expensive to play with friends

If you were able to release this on the xbox i would for sure get it. ive been looking for a game like this to play with da bois. looks great. I know it can be hard to release stuff on consoles, but man would it be awesome because I don't really have a computer setup where I can play splitscreen. Just my thoughts.

idk this is kinda bad modifier idea but everytime you die you get a random modifier selected and you can change how many gets enabled/disabled, idk
In some older videos, you said Couch Combat might get online multiplayer. That would be great because my friends just don't want to buy the game because they don't have controllers or friends to play it with. Also, I think "Couch Online" is a good name for the online mode.
I haven't watched every development video so I'm sorry if I missed anything related to online multiplayer.

this game looks insainly cool!. the only reason I'm not buying it is because I don't have anyone to play it with. also there are so many different shooters out there. for your next project maybe try making a less common style of game and it might get more traction and do much better.

Maybe make the maps a bit bigger so the person wouldn't fall off accidently?
I would like to buy the game,i'm young so I'll have to ask my parents but one thing that could improve the game would be bigger maps. The maps are too small in my opinion and you can't hide or take cover,you just have to spam until your enemies or yourself die. Another thing is that when i stand still or i move,my precision doesn't change. My advice would be that when i stand still or crouch i get better precision with some weapons. i think the small maps are definitely a purposeful creative choice, probably to make quick and frantic matches where fights with multiple players could often take place. also your grammar and english is pretty much perfect :)

the problem is not many people have a friend together they mostly play online and so to improve reach of the game you should make online multiplayer many people commented that already i guess

u should let ppl with multiple monitors use them, so player 1 and player 2 share a monitor, and player 3 and player 4 share a monitor, or if your playing with 2 ppl, have 1 player on one monitor and player 2 on another, and so on and so forth, if this is already a thing, please explain on how to do, as me no no how to do

The demo has a problem, I can’t run it unless I just go into the files and run the executable, so no remote play(I’m on Linux), could you try fixing it
Yeah I’ll look into fixing the demo asap, as there are some issues with it

Edit: I should mention it ha to do with an error stating that it can’t find the correct executable, something about patreon, and if I rename the executable, it just won’t open

Looks like a good game, but I wouldn’t spend 10$ on this game when I could get something better. With no online multiplayer there’s almost no way for me to play with a smaller screen.

when making a indie game you need to make it free so you get a following and if they like it enough you can make more games that you have to pay for or just make it cheaper then 10 dollars or just make a demo version like you did
