I appreciate how you elaborated on how difficult it is to remove the pins. Most other instructional videos that I found on CZcams glossed over this process.

Are you referring to a 1/4 socket extension? Please explain, because I had to spray a rust lubricant on my pins and let them sit overnight and it still took me about 2 hours of banging on each pin.
@@IsraelSuede yes. That's what I'm referring to. I also let mine soak in WD40 and nothing would get it out. The 1/4" socket extension got it out so so easy with a few bangs!
Its an R clip. Not worth re-using sensors. They get brittle from repeated heat cycles in braking. They are cheap. Just replace them, same for the pins and R clips. Great video.
I love my Q7, but god damn. Do the Germans really need to make EVERYTHING so complicated? That said, thank you Total Technik! Your videos on the Q7 have been a life saver!!
As a heavy duty mechanic and an owner of Q7 myself, as well as other VAG products, I can tell you from experience that’s it’s really not that much more difficult than other brands or machinery in general to work on. The CAT’s, Komatsu’s and Volvo’s that we work on could also be just as aggravating to work on. It’s all about perspective.

Narrator has a really great voice for this. Very thorough. Thank you for doing this as it's very detailed.

another great demo thanks
The 1/4 extension works wonders removing that centre pin in the caliper.
I banged for 20min and it didn't budge until I got the extension.

@@_LuisS Good lookin out...
what are the 4 metal cylinders on the brake pads ? what's the purpose ? I see one the pad surface side was quite close to hitting the rotor on my car
Gracias por difundir, excelente video y agradable forma de explicarlo. Saludos
¡Gracias!

Great video.
What about resetting DTC code ?
Not a great design it would seem
You also changed the rotor, and wasn't shown......
