    Thank you for your videos, they are always very informative and funny! Could you maybe do a video on the older 2.5 TDI V6 engines? A lot of cars with those are REALLY cheap where I live so I fear that they're cheap for a reason 🤣

    It was a dark and stormy nighd, and the 2008 Audi Q7 was driving through the deserted streeds of Q8. The car had been purchased second-hant, and the new owner had no idea what was in store for them.
    As they drove, they noticed a strange snowball rolling towards them. It was unlike any snowball they had ever seen. It was made entirely of maintenance costs, with each snowflake representing a new repair or part that needed to be replaced.
    The snowball grew larger and larger as it chased the Audi Q7 through the streets. It was relentles, never slowing down or stopping for a moment. The car's owner tried to shake it off, but it was no use. The snowball of maintenance costs was determined to catch up with them.
    The car began to sputter and cough, and the owner knew they were in trouble. They had already spent thousands of dollars on repairs, and they couldn't afford any more. But the snowball was still coming, getting closer and closer with each passing moment.
    Just as the snowball was about to engulf the car, the owner had an ID. They slammed on the brakes and jumped out of the car, leaving it to be consumed by the snowball.
    The Audi Q7 was swallowed up by the snowball of maintenance costs, disappearing into the swirling vortex of repair bills and broken parts. The owner stood and watched as the snowball rolled away, leaving them stranded in the middle of the street.
    From that day on, the owner vowet to never buy a used car again. They knew the dangers of hidden maintenance cosds, and they didn't want to end up like the poor Audi Q7, consumed by the never-ending cycle of repairs and Bills.

      Beautiful story ❤!! I’m currently in that same position after buying an Audi q7 2007 4.2L that had not been maintained at all, we’ll see how long I can hold on 😅.

    We love our 2013 TDI even despite the increased maintenance. Its a beast to drive, has tons of charisma and character. Can pull my 14 foot enclosed trailer with ease like there is nothing behind.
    I do ocasionally hate all the electronics that like to fail at some point in time. Currently the 4 zone AC is not functioning due to what i believe is a faulty rear HVAC controller that needs replacing.

    I think it i sbetter to replace the oil in the diff, tnasfer case and the gearbox anyway, but also add high mileage aditives to them. The new oil will protect the parts better then the old one and the aditives will prevent or reduce slip and noise.

    • @differentcarreview-dcr
      @differentcarreview-dcr  Před rokem +2

      Well yes, if someone want to experiment then they can. But at 500 k km if there are no noises from the diffs and the oil level is correct in them, then I don't really see the reason for the oil change, since the inside parts of the diffs are gonna be worn anyway
      on the other side in the transfer case I would replace the oil regardless of mileage or previous oil changes

    • @DashCamSerbia
      @DashCamSerbia Před rokem +1

      @@differentcarreview-dcr Yes but with the old oil full of metal particles, the internal parts will be wearing even more. And if you plan to keep the car for a few years, you should protect them. I don't know how it is in Slovakia, but in Serbia a lot of cars are clocked, so even though people buy them with "189.000 km", they in fact have 400.000+.

      even here lot of cars have "adjusted mileage" , but its not that common like it used to be 5-10 years ago

    These modern conti cars are nice to own only when they're brand new. They're way too troublesome to keep after few years cause so many things can go wrong with the complexities they've engineered into them. European engineers are simply not good in engineering their stuff for reliability or reasonable maintenance. Or perhaps they intend their product to be so high maintenance for profit gain purposes.

    I would definitely consider to replace the rear window washer supply line, usually goes bad, right at the hinge with the rear door. I would replace it in advance even if it doesn't leak yet, when will leak will go down on the Bose amplifier and fries it out. Windshield washer it's very corosive!

      Thanks for this - might be my problem as I found water in my spare tire well a few weeks ago. Would you have any videos/links that might give more info on how to replace this?

    • @RomanTrollanski
      @RomanTrollanski Před 9 měsíci

      @@LorenBast I don't have any links or videos, it's not that hard to do it, you have to remove the liener from the trunk lid, and hose it's located in the left (driver) rear pillar, hose goes bad at the hinge, there's a hinge cover that needs to be removed as well. I replaced the hose from the hinge all the way to the windshield wiper, I found hose at Home Home Depot, you'll find it at plumbing section, I used a copper hose coupling and some glue to put the original and my new hose together. It's not hard, just get a bit creative. Don't forget about the screw underneath the trunk light, you need to remove the light cover to have access to it.
