- BOSTON -- The Florida Panthers defeated the Boston Bruins 2-1 on Friday night, winning their second-round playoff series in six games. Gustav Forsling scored the tiebreaking goal on a rebound with 1:33 left. Anton Lundell tied it for the Panthers and also set up the game-winner when his shot was deflected to the left side of the net.
Panthers Coach Paul Maurice shared his admiration for both teams postgame: "I said this on the ice, I would pay money to watch Boston and Florida play. They're a hell of a team. It's great hockey."

Had zero expectations for this season. Making it to round 2 was not a given. Making it to game 6 against florida was bonus hockey. Florida was a better team. As much as i wanted to wreck them and Tkachuk, it was fun. Maurice is a good coach. I like his responses to the questions. He gives the bruins more respect than they deserved. Good luck florida. Rooting for Edmonton to get the cup.

As a Bs fan there were a lot of frustrating moments where the Bs seemed to screw themselves and officiating as in other series was not great, but in the end the better team won and I have a lot of respect for Paul Maurice, he is a great game time strategist and motivator and out coaches most coaches he comes up against, and gets the most from all his players. Congrats Panthers now beat NY.

I thought Maurice was dogshit with Jets, but his time with Panthers has definitely changed my opinion of him.

If losing 6 straight at home to Florida (IN THE PLAYOFFS) doesn’t send a mayday, then I don’t know what it takes to make some significant changes to this team. Don’t expect different results if you keep doing the same thing.

As a Bruins fan i am disgusted in a team that could not pass or handle the puck, just stood there with no clue what to do, that is on the coach. Completely lost in thier own end. It was the same against Toronto. It's the Bruins, they are not built for the playoffs. Overall that was the worst Bruins effort I have ever seen from from the B's , the ONLY reason they won anything was the Goalie. Time to Blow this team up, Starting with management

no, the Bruins were not favored to win this series really..but there is a reason they have the best winning percentage over the last 50 years in this league..they are always physical..I thought they played hard every game..no choker here, last year? yes they choked..this year different story, they fought every minute physically right to the end but Florida have the horses to go all the way
