Those are cute bunnies. Thanks for the information on the nest of rabbits. Its funny that the mom rabbit pulls out her fur when she about to give birth because I pull out my hair because of my kids.. 😆 This is all really great information. Love this video.
Amanda Bartlett haha! The similarities between animals and humans.... 😂
At my age, I completely understand about writing things down. I almost have to write down from one room to the next why I'm going into the next room.....LOL. Seriously, it is good to keep everything logged down. You will always have documentation to reference back to. Your video is very educational. Keep up the good work and the great videos. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us! Have a great day!!

Great video. Loved seeing the baby rabbits. I hope many more to come. Keep up the great work and God bless.
Raising meat rabbits is a good way to start a homestead...we’ve been doing it for 9 years now👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻we started using pellets, but several years ago switched to fodder...we tried awhile back to go back to pellets, but the rabbits, wouldn’t have anything to do with it...they love the fodder...we’ve had may babies a long the way, and many heartaches, but that’s life when you’re raising any farm animals...great video, kids👍🏻👍🏻blessings 🥰❤️😇🙏🏻🙏🏻
You guys are doing such a great job ! Love your willingness to incorporate God into your videos! You guys are becoming one of my sons and I ( Kyler 9yrs old ) favorite channels ! Bible says “ for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” ( Matt 6:21 ) God bless you guys🙏
Nick Long thank you so much! That really means a lot to us!
We want to give God all the glory, because we wouldn’t be where we’re at without Him! 😊

Y’all have some beautifully colored rabbits. North Country Off Grid’s daughter calls them Rabies=rabbit babies. LOL. I love the way you teach things. You explain it very well. Continued blessings on y’all & your homestead! Love & Hugs from Vicki in Ft. Worth, Texas 🇨🇱🇺🇸👍❤️😁🙏
Another great one guys, and yes it's all a tongue twister when you have several different types of animals on your homestead. Your bloopers showed that, lol! When dead newborns are found there can be many reasons for it as you said. The goal is to learn from them. Sometimes the box is too small for your Doe and they get stepped on, or not enough bedding material or time for mom to arrange it. Moms usually only feed dusk to dawn & if a newborn doesn't let go it will be dragged out of the box when mom leaves, especially a nervous Doe. Without any hair mom can't pick them up to put them back in. Always check first in the morning to see if they can be warmed up and held next to mom to nurse. You could save a kit or 2 if your lucky.
You both do such an excellent job with your animals! Keeping a log is a great idea 👍
Thank you Auntie Ann! 😊
I love these videos we are in a very hot summer here in sydney i have my bunnies in the garage with an air con on and natural light coming in. I take them to the outside hitch in the evening to pick some fresh grass and have a run around while its cooler. Ill take some photos of my latest kits and put them on your FB page.
Y’all are very informative!! I know y’all are nervous don’t worry about the judgement of others stand in your truth( how y’all raise your animals.)I absolutely love to see the variety of ways to raise animals and what works and doesn’t work. I cannot wait to see the channel take off. When y’all just jumped right in to cut Jason’s hair with your wife finishing it off shows how you just jump in and help where you can without hesitation. Your brothers hair looks like Daniels donkey poodles😂 that was also my first thought as well😂 y’all are some incredible people 🙌💗✌️god bless
When I saw prepare your rabbits for kindling, I thought WHAT, to start a fire with rabbit carcass!!, LMAO
Yes! I thought the same thing? Fire starters? 😀
Mustang Sally haha! Sorry... “kindling” as in the process of rabbit birthing. 😄
Me too!
thanks for sharing your rabbit journey with us.. many blessings.love the bloopers-lol
...Glo

Good info! We plan to start breeding soon so this is good help for us!
Cooper Family Homestead glad we could help ya out! 👍
Thank you for sharing this great information on rabbits. As they are excellent animals to add to thevhomestead.
Great video team, I remember Mum keeping a rabbit book, hers also had feed cost and harvest numbers :) I remember her taking it out and proving that they more than covered cost to a couple of nay sayers.
My sisters and I had a pet Rabbit when we were young but never found out about this stuff. I enjoyed this. Thanks! Take care and have a great evening.
Leann 49 thank you!
That was great ! Thanks for the bloopers, very hilarious! I would love to see more on those rabbit carriers. I'm sure they're simple to build but I'd love to see how they benefit y'all the most.
A day in the life would be a wicked video too
God bless 😁
Johnson Rocson yeah, we’ll for sure consider making a video on how to build the nest boxes. Thank you! 👍
Hello! Jacob and Alex 👋😆💜🐇📹👍. Thanks for sharing the information about the rabbits and how you breed them. "God Bless You Both".
L. D. Matheny thank you! 😊
the end cracks me up lol. that was some good info though thanks
rogue yard gnome thank you for watching! ☺️👍
As far as the draft coming up into the nest box from the bottom, what about putting straw under the nest box in addition to all the straw you put in the box. It still can drain, it is not getting wet inside the box, and it will insulate the underside of the box! I never had a rabbit, never bred rabbits, just an outsiders observation! Beautiful rabbits! Have a blessed day!
Good video and explanation. I love the organized system y'all have. Thats me in a nutshell, I love organized systems. Thanks and God Bless Y'all...and da Wabbits too ;-)
Trinity Soldier for me (Alex) being somewhat organized on a farm/Homestead is key! 👌
Love your rabbit hutches and the rabbits are beautiful 😊💞 Thank you for the great information on getting ready for new kits. I love how the momma rabbit knows what to do and the process of how they get the nest ready. Thank you for sharing the realities of having rabbits😊 Definitely will write things down😊 Always love the bloopers😂Thank y'all for sharing ☺💞
Thank you so much! I’m glad this was helpful to you! 😊
Interesting
Giggles❗😂😂 4 3 days kidding😂😂👍🌴

Rabbits are hares right?
Sawyer Ridge Hare Farm...
Reminds me of a certain LIVE video... Hare job 😂🌴
Good information. We use to use cat litter boxes with the lids for our rabbits. They ate on the wooden ones. We had an old dairy barn that my late husband build wire cages in. It was really easy to clean. Like your videos. God bless!
I like the idea of keeping a log so you know your Rabbits. I like the cage set ups . You two have quite the operation.
Happy Kitting lol !
JO JO IN VT 💕☃ 😊
Joanne Ganon keeping a detailed record of all the rabbits helps us out tremendously. Thanks so much for watching! 😊
Hi Jacob & Alex! I have never eaten rabbit nor raised any for meat. I did have a rabbit as a pet for many years. Anyway, your content is very interesting to a city girl. And your rabbits are beautiful with the different patterns and colors. 😊
Exciting! BABIES!!!!
Very informative kids! Jacob, don't worry about calling it the wrong thing with me. My brain messages seems to often times jump the track before it reaches my mouth.

All very good information!! Thank you! I'm pretty sure I'm gonna want to get my rabbits from y'all if I do make the decision to raise them. I can see how very well cared for they are. Great job!
Where do you live?
@@SawyerRidgeFarm - I am in SW Missouri. My town is next door to Joplin, MO.
I remember that my dad use to call the female bunny pulling her fur as "tufting"" the nest for the kid. I'm really learning more from use two enough to seriously consider to start raising a few rabbits where I live to sell as either meat or as pets. First I have to save up to get all the items needed to build a few cages for them. Good idea about logging on each cage as to who, what, where more so to speak.
I LOVE this video and both of you. Take care and be safe. Blessings to both of you from me. 🙏
Deborah Peterson thank you so much! We’re glad you’re enjoying our channel!
Yessir knowledge time
God Bless
cool...very informative :)
I have never heard the term kindling used with rabbits before. When I read your title L thought, what? My Uncle just said, ready to kit. 😂😂
Virginia Reid yep, “kindling” is a term used for the process of rabbit birthing! 😄 Sorry Yo confuse everyone. It was kinda clickbait, but not on purpose.
Sawyer Ridge Farm , Once Id read it twice I knew there was no way you would start fires with the rabbits!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
