- Pro-Palestinian demonstrators protest against Edmonton Police at City Hall on Tuesday. This comes days after EPS dismantled Pro-Palestinian encampment on University of Alberta Campus.
This insanity has become a national embarrassment. Where is our leadership?
There needs to be law and order allowing this chaos everywhere is not welcome in Canada.
Post turtle Polymer and his backing group of idiots would beg to differ ...
Steps to colonizing and forcing SHARIA law in a democratic country..deny reality.
Maybe It's a worldwide chaos.
Time for these folks to go protest in Palestine!
Canada has had enough!
ha good one
exactly
that wimp Sohi taking the side of criminals again..makes me sick
I never heard aboriginals ask the children of murderers and land thieves to leave their lands...So, who are you again? If anything the immigrants that legally came here owe our apologies to the aboriginals.
Hamas protesting in Canada. No thanks.
The police warned the protesters many times to leave it was time
Ignore them, they will go away. Police need to just ignore them. They have no voice here.
@@deemisquadis9437says a women who brags about becoming homeless and walking away from all responsibility.
Why does the police even need to intervene. They're just sitting there not harming anyone. We don't live in a police state do we?
Peaceful protesters spreading hate....Sure thing
Don't like how Canada does things go back to Gaza and work the problem from there..
Best comment here...
I agree. I am sick and tired of these people and their demonstrations across our country, if you don't agree with our law's, please go to the nearest airports.
If you stand for palistine... but not for REAL OPRESSION, then you are simply a hater of israel. If you did not stand against the persecution of the WEAGERS in china or the CHRISTIANS in Nigeria or the persecution of the Yazidies or the Arminians... then how can you FOOL YOURSELF into thinking you care about cival rights, freedoms, or justice?... You don't REALLY care about that. You're just a useful idiot who is being played... and you're too dumb to do the math. It's sad. But there were MANY idiots used by jerks to oppress freedoms all throughout history. And you are one of them.
@@modestacattaruzza7400 Is Canada in bed with Israel that's my question.
This is ridiculous anybody With a student😊 Visa should be Deported
Absolutly. To deport them. Not tomorrow. Today. And right away. From campus tents to airport. Direct drive. And bon voyage home. Good bye.
People from the Middle East and Africa should behave if they choose to live in Canada. As for Sohi, what a useless mayor.
So should those who are citizens born here like I am. My family settled land in here in 1880’s but that doesn’t make you special .
Pro Palestine mad but they were the agitators...
another hasbra bot.
@@rhetorical1488 Likely you know zero about hamas, Hezbola, Islam, Iran or history of the region.....or you are an Islamist bringing your intolerance to Canada.

Correction Pro Hamas.
In Yemen there have been 380,000 people killed, many women and children, and not a single protest from students on American college campuses. The Houthi rebels, who are backed by Iran has caused the civil war yet not a single protest from students. So I guess when it's between the Saudi led military and Houthi rebels and there are no Jews involved it's of no concern how 500,000 children under the age of 5 are now at risk of dying from malnutrition, or how many citizens face starvation.
Don’t worry it’s only a matter of time before these LARPing dimwits will glom onto the next thing to protest.
Absolutely - the list, like their hypocrisy - is massive..
The difference is western countries have not formed a coalition, or been directly involved with the civil war & famine going on in Yemen for last decade. Where as western countries have a coalition with Israel, and have continued to not only be complicit but spend many billions in the aid of the genocide & destruction of the Palestinian people (US sent 26 billion USD a few weeks ago) instead of fixing the generational issues in our country. Also Netanyahu existing in the first place is arguably the US fault.
As of this past March they reported over 617,000 civilians have died as a result of the civil war in Syria….but crickets from these protesters on that. Same thing, no Jews involved. If anyone had told me a year ago that western countries, universities in particular, had been so infected with hatred of Jewish people I would have said no way. I know better now, and am fearful of what the future holds for them.
Exactly 😢
They are making fools of themselves
Hold the protestors accountable.
Glad the police are stepping up
Flee Flee to Palestine...take your concern HOME
i back the police
You're trespassing illegally, you don't want to leave private property, what do you think is going to happen, what makes these protesters so special that thry feel they can do whatever they want and get away with it
The convoyers got away with it, so why can't others?
@lizliz4186 maybe because they had an actual reason to protest something happening in this country. Besides that, they were forced out, but you failed to see that didnt you ?
Most of them live on campus. It's essentially their home.
@@747Cone less than a quarter of the people in the encampment were UofA students, and of those arrested, none of them were UofA students. Try again.
@@valerierodger Ok lets take your claim at face value. You ok with leaving the portion that were U of A students to peacefully protest on campus?
The pacifying needs to stop, these protestors are a nuisance
It is time to stop those protest to stop. They are very embarrassing for us in Edmonton
Oh no! The protests are embarrassing?! So sorry to hear that. You know what's embarrassing? a public university calling in riot police to brutalize peaceful students protestors, rather than engaging with students and divesting from Israel.
Another Liberal Mayor, go figure.
Big cities are usually progressive. This includes both Edmonton and Calgary. Both outstandingly voted NDP in the last election.
Send in the storm troppers 😂
Nope, send in the police and reestablish a civil society.

I think they went WAY to easy on them.

How many time did police ask them nicely to leave?
They won't leave if police don't use force so what do they expect?

How are the protestors being accountable? Most Canadians do not support Terrorists!

Like, what can the Edmonton police do about it? Get a brain . 😂😂😂
Now that the problem has been created i wonder what solution they'll sell to us lol
Maybe the mayor and council need to be on the front line with the police and show us how they would move a bunch of law breakers who won't budge.
You can't reason with a bunch of baby's who won't move until their demands are met.
Those city officials look and sound like absolutely fools.
These protesters are treated like a priviliged class in this country.
These "people" are insane. How can they deny reality what Hamas IS..
Edmonton needs a new mayor!
I like to speak the truth how i really feel but I can’t on this platform 😡
Canadians have right to peaceful protest and no one should intimidate them in their own country for support of a foreign country.
their needs to be a stop put to this protesting maddness in canada by hamas supporters
Now they start to show their true colour.
They went to university to learn how to become activists.
Only about a quarter of them were students. The ones who ended up getting arrested, weren’t students.
The police deserve our support and respect for taking appropriate action during these troubling and dangerous times in Canada.👏
I viewed the ENTIRE account about this situation, and abhor the slanted media versions which have since attempted to vilify our police.😕
Law and order should prevail in Canada, not the pro-Hamas protesters' agenda.👎
The politicians are very concerned but will do nothing as usual. Weak and pathetic.
This is what Canada imported in for us , how nice!
Judging by your name , you are a Euro import .
Any difference ??
Protestor behaving badly. Anyone yelling & acting aggressive should not be allowed into City Hall or any public building. Public apology & $6,000. fine.
The mayor of Edmonton is a relative of Yamasita.
Why should we be tolerant to intolerance?
It's not about the tactics and force the Police use, it's about why are they allowed to dismantle any peaceful protest encampment ???
That's the real issue but news and the politicians don't want that question coming up.
The smoke and mirrors continues.
These people need jobs because clearly they are spoiled brats with too much time on their hands
Coulda been watching the Oilers
The problem is with the protests
Alberta is becoming an Islamist part of Canada.. One day it will become Muslim state.
Inshallah
Their going to push and push harder and farther until we say stop.
Don't go to university so you won't have to pay the tuitions! Problem solved!😂😂😂😂
Pro-Hamas a plenty..
Thank you for your service officers.
Not Canadian?.. home you go..
7 months later is not self defense.
These people are protesting hate. Leave Canada. This is not what we are about
Big surprise, reporter Hiba Camal -Choufi, is not in favor of dismantling pro Hamas/Palestinian encampments lol
kelseyriley: She is just a reporter. I listened to her short report and couldn't hear her expressing any opinion for (or against) the dismantling of the encampments. Can you specify the exact time slot where she says she's "not in favor"?
According to what I understand, the encampments are illegal on crown lands. The protests during the day are considered a freedom of speech and are allowed - if the administration grants a permission before the protest starts. Of course , there are certain limitations and requirements to any protest. If the organizers claim it's a student protest, the organizers and the participants have to be students. If most of the protesters are not students, they should protest (freedom of speech is important!) outside the campus. Actually, there are laws, rules and regulations that are quite clear as to who, where, and how, is permitted to protest.
They support hamas
Thanks eps
We get your point but what a waste of everyone’s time. These protests are quite annoying and quite frankly most of us don’t care, just facts!
We need Ron De Santis to replace Trudeau.. Can we get a leader who does something and quick?!?
Why don't they just arrest these ingrates and throw away the key?
so,,will he invoke the emergency act,,freeze and hold the bank accounts of those involved?
its 2024 and canadians still wearing masks HAHAHA
How many protesters are international students?
oh another protest .
Summer must be coming !
If you didn’t want the police to move you, you should have moved yourself. These officers have more important things to deal with than idiot protesters who don’t know jack-all about whatever cause of the week is justifying their current misbehaviour.
Let the citizens deal with these terror supporters!!
Save Israel
This is Canada. Protest in ur own country
WHY!! talking too much snd no Accion. STOP!! Giving too much access to the terrorists and riots. What's!! BEHIND.!!

How differently you report on protests if CityNews agrees with the ideology. Like supporting terrorism.
Being against Israel and its apartheid, genocide, and war crimes does not make you anti semitic nor is a crime.
No, does not. But
Supporting terrorists makes you a criminal.

On public grounds, not on private property! Remember.
