- Noah, Collin, and Luke from the Outsider Crew head out to the Niagara River to dip their lines in the water to see what they can catch. With no particular target fish in mind, they throw a plethora of different lures and baits with hopes to catch anything. Continue watching the video to see a new personal best steelhead caught by Noah and the rest of the Outsiders adventure!

Thanks Alberto, appreciate it brotha🤙💯😎
Awesome video, guys! I’ve fished the Niagara river many times but I’ve never had any luck there. It’s promising to see you guys catch some fish out of there, thanks for sharing your adventure!
Thanks MK! Sometimes the river is tricky to fish... there's a lot of factors that go into catching fish down there, but I think the most important factors are to know when the different species start to spawn/run and to fish when the when the weather/water quality is prime👍👍
That's the beauty of the Niagara never know what your gonna catch and Congrats on the new PB Steelie
Thanks man, appreciate it! That's definitely my favorite part about fishin the river...never know what u will catch!😎

@@OutsidersOutdoorCo thanks alot
@@OutsidersOutdoorCo any good local base spots where I could get egg scheme or live minnows?
@@thekidmarcy I like Russ's Bait and Tackle alot, they have really cheap minnows👍
Creek Road Bait and Tackle also has some good stuff and is close to the river 👍
Great Video Guys!!! Nice PB that was a tank!!!
Thank you🙏😎
That’s an old fish! Congrats, beats my PB!
Super old!👴 Thx Cray!👍🙏
The lower great lakes are quite a bit different than up north. I live near Superior. Always wanted to try Niargra River. It just has that "you never know what you'll catch" vibe.
Definitely should give a try! Great fishing all year round!😎👍
Good job guys. Can't wait to get down to the river soon 🔜
Yessirrrr very soon💯
Killer day homies! That was a big ol' nasty buck!
Thanks coop! Reminded me of a boot salmon🤢😅
How deep are you typically fishing in these spots?
When the water is stained I try to stay between 8-10ft and when the water is clear 12-15ft👍😎🎣
What Time of year was this?
June
Mann I wish up there by you guys catching some big fish today
I wish u were here to!😎
what conditions are you looking for when you fish the lower Niagara river this time of year? and what are you fishing for just the trout?
Around this time of year the water visibility is always super clear, but prime conditions would be around 4-5 feet. Trout are the predominant catch from October to April, now you can catch pretty much anything 👍👍
stop lifting them up use a net
Is that a fly rod
It's just a regular spinning rod with a centerpin👍😎
I've lived next to the niagara river my whole life and figure I wanna start fishing it. I have a pretty beginner rod and any tips would be appreciated. What fish should I be expecting and what kind of baits? And what fish are in season right now? Thanks
Hey Sean! To start off I would recommend looking into a rod that is Medium-Heavy action and at least 9ft. You can use this rod for throwing jerk baits, 1/4oz jigs, and size 3-5 spinners depending on swiftness of current. I would spool it up with 15lb fluorocarbon test, that is enough if you hook into a big salmon or laker. I always carry 8, 10, and 12lb leader for when I need to downsize when the water is super clear. Right now fishing seems to be thought because of the moss in the lower and because of all the musky report less bass will be closer to shore. From late September to early April I would recommend to bring a float rod with you because float fishing is the number 1 way to catch trout and salmon.
Below is a link to one of my float fishing tutorials and the Niagara fishing report that they updated every week, good luck!
