I didn't realize the drought was so long. I feel less bad as a Canucks fan that we didn't have a playoff series win after 2011 until 2020. That's only half the time. And that was still painful.

Windows XP, iPod 3, Friends and Frazer still on the air. Grey’s Anatomy, Lost not yet on TV. PlayStation 2, first Xbox, no Twitter, George Bush still in first term. Some of the things in the world the last time the laughs won a playoff series.
As a Sens fan, this was the most disappointing series loss I've ever experienced, and I include the Cup Final and the two Conference Final losses. It was losing to this particular team, again, that really stung.
But in retrospect, given how everything turned out for both teams, it really isn't all that bad. The Sens have been to three Conference Finals and a Final since the Leafs last made the third round. Right now the Leafs are obviously better, but if you take into account overall performance in 20 years, I'll take the Sens over the Leafs.
