Both sides of my Jewish family immigrated to Canada early 1900s. They came later to new York, but some still remain. That liberalism was good for us then. We were good for Canada too. But the current influx seems bad for Canada. What a switch! Does Canada realize its errors? Is selectivity a solution? Canada was a colony not a colonizer.
Canada for Canadians which means only people from Great Britain or France. That was who the country was founded for.
It’s not for refugees or a dumping ground for other cultures. ALL these people have their own country’s and culture’s to return to
Native peoples were there first. The point is not where people are from, rather whether they become patriots and are integrated into national life.

Thanks Amir. I appreciate the Haskell video on your channel. Haskell is older than Java. While I have spent perhaps 1000 or even 2000 hours on Java, Haskell is too hard for me. (Hudak, a Haskell guru, died at 62. I'm not worried about that happening to me, I am 79). But I have not given up, and will study the Haskell code you provide for the chess game. But your comment about Palestine - is it meant to be ironic? - it certainly looks that way to me.. I'd bet a pound to a penny it is ironic.

I found his response both perplexing and hurtful. And it was a huge break of trust for many Israelis who have suffered trauma and had appreciated his work in this field. Only to be re traumatized by such denial. Is that a case of suicidal empathy?
Antisemitism happened on Concordia’s campus when I was a student from 1977 until 1980. One sad memory was walking towards the library on the Loyola campus where blood and teeth were on the ground. The security guard said it was the Arab students who beat up a few Jewish students.

I think people in the west are confusing “multiculturalism” with “multinationalism”. You can live in a country with multiple nationalities, but a nation cannot remain stable in a state of multiculturalism. A nation must have one unified culture even if there are multiple nationalities that are all residing in one place. Those who come to a new country must adopt that culture or not bother immigrating in the first place. We immigrate to move from a place that is no longer suitable for our long term prosperity to a more desirable place with better cultural norms and better potential for a bright and prosperous future for the entire family.

I'm just wondering if there is a word of truth in your story about wearing a star of david emblem on a necklace attracting problems, or is it all b s. It sounds to me like a made up story to fit the propaganda you are spinning. I am 79 years old. I have never in my life seen or heard any adverse comment on someone wearing a Star of David emblem. If you were wearing something outsize, like a huge crrucifix, or huge cross, that might attract negative comment, but as a "fashion crime", not an attack on someone's religion.
Obviously it depends upon what part of the country one resides in. Given the tenor of your comment, it is likely that you bear animus towards this particular group of people.
