Definitely one of the more useful reviews out there on flood lights. I wish you did the distance test on the 2nd light also, its actually hard to tell relative brightness when you're up close to the lights. Since you're looking to cover further distance you might want to trying finding one with a narrower beam angle

It pulls 100w. The output is way more than a 100w halogen or incandescent bulb.

I thought that the Solla did a little bit better job from out here in Oklahoma
Yeah, it might have done a little better. Its a close call, but for the money, both lights are pretty impressive!

ours is about 40 square

Point it at some Solar Panels at night and see if you can get 100w.
