How to Return Amazon Prime Video Digital Movie

Amazon Prime Video is a great option for purchasing digital movies and building up your digital movie library. However, if you purchased a movie on accident or bought a movie and you're having second thoughts about it, you do have a short window of time where you can return the digital movie for a refund. In order to return an Amazon Prime Video digital movie purchase, though, you have to do so within 48 hours of the purchase, and you can't have started watching or downloading the movie. I'll walk you through how to return your Amazon Prime Video digital movie purchase through the Amazon website.
Step 1. Open your web browser, navigate to Amazon.com, and then log in to your account. You'll arrive at your Amazon home page.
Step 2. Click the "Menu" icon in the upper left corner of the screen. The menu flys in from the left side of the screen.
Step 3. Click "Prime Video" in the menu. The menu will slide to the left, and will now display Amazon Prime Video options.
Step 4. Click "Your Video Library" in the list of options. An Amazon Prime Video screen appears, displaying your video library.
Step 5. Click the Amazon Prime Video digital movie you purchased that you want to return. In this example, I'll click Tomb Raider. An information screen for your movie appears.
Step 6. Locate the information icon beneath the movie description that says "Purchased by accident? Cancel your order." Click the "Cancel your order" link. The Cancel Your Order screen appears.
Step 7. Click the "Reason for Cancellation" drop-down, and then choose the reason you are cancelling your Amazon Prime Video digital video purchase. You can indicate this was an accidental purchase, whether you were unable to download, whether you wanted a different video resolution, or other options.
Step 8. Click the "Cancel Your Order" button at the bottom of the screen after making your selection. An Order Cancelled screen appears, informing you that your Amazon Prime Video digital video purchase was successfully cancelled. - Jak na to + styl
What if it immediately started playing after I pressed purchase. I don't see the accident tab
If you purchase using a fire stick it just auto plays. So even though it only played for a few seconds I can't cancel it. Just payed £2.50 for a trailer.

Does this work for a series? I bought the full Season 1 of Arrow and I thought it was coming from my card but it was coming from my mum's. Is there a way to cancel a series.

what if it doesn’t show ‘prime video’ cos it doesn’t on mine
Do I still get the money back when I return the movie/show?
This doesn't work. Step 4 didn't show up, and there was nothing that said "purchased by accident? cancel your order."
What if i watched it but did not know about this and can't get a refund? I really wish to get a refund but can't seem to do so sadly..

My expectation of rent vs Purchase is that purchase is fixed. You make the payments and the item is yours. Rent is temporarily. Where u pay a small fee for temporary usage of a device. Most instances where renting a movie involve the temporary exchange of money for device until said device is returned. Similar to how U.K. BlockBuster worked and how library books work. With this said. If I do not wish to make a permanent purchase of a movie for amazon prime. How do I make a temporary payment for temporary usage of said movie. Then when movie is returned, AFTER I made use of my rent purchase by viewing said movie, my payment is refunded. This is what I expect from a rent streaming service ESPECIALLY if I already pay a subscription to said service thus providing me more benefits than the average customer.
i paid $120 for glee when they took it off netflix and they just added it to disney plus. 🤦♂️ f amazon.

What if the movie is damaged, which is what happened to me. It keeps stopping during the episode. I tried calling but they don't seem to be taking customer calls.
What if I have a movie for years but i don’t want to keep it anymore can i get rid of it no of course not your stuck with it forever for the rest of your life because its digital i don’t have that problem with a physical copy like a dvd or blue ray i could at least sell it or throw it away or recycle it but no not digital ridiculous if you ask me honestly come on seriously
