Is Amazon Prime Worth it? It’s 100% worth it if you take advantage of just some of the benefits of Amazon Prime. The Amazon Prime benefits are almost never-ending, but I’ll mainly talk about the shipping benefits like free 2-day, same day and even 2-hour shipping that amazon prime offers.
I’ll also touch on prime pantry, amazon fresh and prime family for all your online grocery and family needs.
I’ll also talk about the media benefits like Prime video, prime music, Twitch Prime and their kindle reading perks as well. At the end of the day, Amazon Prime is worth considering as long as you take advantage of a few of the benefits Prime offers.

I just had the 30 day trial, but only used the good shipping. I watch netflix and use Spotify so never really used the media benefits. I'm thinking of getting it again, but I like in the UK where even standard shipping is pretty fast

I'm still here. I've been an Amazon Prime member for years, it is worth it! Thank you Amazon
Is it really "worth it" though? When I first enrolled with prime, it used to guarantee next day shipping for prime products. Now it can take up to 2 weeks for prime products. The cost has almost doubled. Used to be $72 a year. Now it's about $130 a year.
So "What about the added perks?" You say. Prime music. The variety of eligible music is well below par. But if you want unlimited access to prime eligible music, you have to pay extra.
So "What about prime video?" You say. Are you fucking serious? What a fucking joke that is!
Bottom line, pandora or spotify is cheaper. Hulu, Disney Plus, and even Netflix, all have my streaming needs covered. Not to mention VUDU and CZcams with free movies.
Bottom line, Prime has become shit.

I've been using Amazon prime for the movies and TV shows (and the deliveries benefits) for a couple of months and only discovered a couple of days ago the prime ebooks and the prime music! My mind literally blew up! The reader works perfectly on my android phone (Borrowing a book is so nifty) and I'm considering buying a kindle to fully benefit of the comics and magazines which are apparently available only for kindle readers. Months ago I was torn between Netflix and Amazon well not anymore :D

Keep in mind that you never actually own kindle - amazon does. Among other things, you are required to register it to enable essential (yet extremely poorly implemented) features like collections...
You pay for Amazon Prime finding out that for a lot of movies, even from the 80s or 70s you still need to pay at least 3 bucks each. I think that that is absurd. Sure I understand you may need to pay for the most recent movies but if you compare the offering to competitors, it does not stand out.

I noticed a lot of my orders (I order a lot) from Amazon were listed as "Prime" but noticed I was not getting them in 2 days. I was then told by the seller and a representative of Amazon that Prime benefits do not apply to items, even though they are advertised as "Prime", unless it is being sold directly by Amazon. So purchasing from the 3rd party sellers, even though it states Prime on the item, does not qualify. I think this is false advertising. The benefits page does not specify that Prime items MUST be sold by Amazon LLC to qualify.
That’s exactly why I drop my prime and let me tell you, you have to do some research to unsubscribe.
My dad has a prime account and the shipping recently has been more than 2 days. Usually around 4.

I’m still here.. and I came here to see if amazon prime was worth signing up for. The one thing I was interested in was buying grocery items but of course that would be the one thing that is an “add-on” so I’m not sure yet if I want pay extra for that. My dad has Amazon prime on his phone but me and my mom don’t have an account and we don’t have Amazon prime on our TV because I want to watch the show I found on CZcams and you could watch it before it was on Netflix now it’s not it’s on Amazon prime so I’m watching this video because It wants me to get it on the TV And I asked my mom what Amazon prime is she said my dad would know because she doesn’t know what it is

I just got Amazon Prime in the UK and my first order was a 4k tv. It was supposed to be delivered today but it didn't turn up. They said there was a 'delay in the dispatch process'. So I've paid extra for Prime and they can't even deliver my order on time. I rang them and they told me they will try and dispatch it in the next 48 hrs. I'm annoyed!

I pay 7.99 a month. Have prime video and 2 day shipping. Netflix is 9.99 and i don't get a bonus of 2 day shipping.
If that doesn't explain the value, i don't know what will.
In Canada you can learn a bunch to avoid over priced services. Netflix and Amazon prime are sure fire ways to save money. A good internet plan and those two services can save you money on those costs; you could even add in a third streaming service and still be saving. With those two services having the option to opt out whenever you want also makes it beneficial, as satellite/cable companies usually try to get you under a contract for the first couple years.
